I prepaid for transfers with HareBusRental, expecting professionalism and reliability. Instead, the service was inconsistent, and unexpected demands were made during the trips—even attempts to collect extra fees mid-journey. The level of disorganization, lack of transparency, and poor communication left us frustrated and uneasy.

If you value your time, comfort, and overall travel experience, I recommend seeking other transportation options in Italy that prioritize customer care and integrity.

We booked 3 transfers in Italy with this company for a large family group (10 adults, 7 children including two toddlers, my 80-year-old father, and 21 suitcases). From start to finish, it was a nightmare:
• First trip (Civitavecchia): The company never told us they had no port access pass, so the bus was parked 1 km away. The port shuttle refused our luggage, we had to pay €150 for taxis just to move bags, the bus was old and dirty, and it even broke down mid-journey. No support or help given.
• Second trip: The bus was cleaner but the air conditioning didn’t work. We endured 5 hours in August heat with only a fan.
• Third trip: While the bus was new with working AC, the company gave the driver a different pickup address than our drop-off, forcing us to drag 21 bags, with kids and elderly, two blocks in Rome. Even worse, the driver stopped mid-trip and said we needed a separate “luggage support van” for €500, demanding we pay €350 more on the spot. This despite the fact that the company had known about our 21 suitcases since trip 1, and I had confirmed this again directly with each driver before every pickup.

This company caused us exhaustion, delays, hidden costs, and unnecessary stress. Their lack of transparency, poor planning, and attempt to charge extra mid-journey is simply unacceptable.

We will never use them again and strongly advise others — especially families or groups with children and elderly — to avoid them.

We hired the Hare Bus company for two separate occasions to transport our wedding guests to and from the local train station and our wedding venue in Tuscany. Valentina was communicative, responsive, and accommodating. Last minute they worked with us to adjust the shuttle service timeframe to better match our guest’s train schedule and begin the service earlier. We were also able to have the driver make a special run to a different train station to pick up some stranded guests. The shuttles were clean and both drivers that we worked were on time and professional. Would definitely recommend their services.
