Customer reviews are a great way of informing prospective customers. My experience is not the same as some posts. The negative reviews concerned me and when the web site was suspended it spooked me. Sam was very straightforward and offered me a full refund. No quibble at all and Sam arranged the refund same day which happened. So my experience was positive.

I purchased an engine from NW Auto Techz Ltd in January 2025 after being assured it was a low-mileage (29,000 miles), fully tested engine from a running vehicle — suitable for my automatic Skoda Superb. What I received was over 10 days late, came from a manual car, had no paperwork, and was in visibly poor condition. It failed tests immediately after installation due to dangerously low oil pressure.

Despite flagging this immediately, the company offered no proper support. I was pressured into paying by bank transfer to avoid a surcharge — a huge red flag in hindsight. Once they had my money, communication became evasive, and they responded under different names ("Adam" and "Sam") to avoid taking responsibility.

They later offered £200 towards further repairs — then used that against me by falsely claiming it voided the warranty. I’ve now suffered over £8,000 in losses, and my vehicle remains off the road. What started as a seemingly professional transaction turned into a nightmare of dishonesty and avoidance.

DO NOT pay this company by bank transfer. In fact, do not deal with them at all. Their behaviour has been unethical, misleading, and deeply distressing. If no resolution is offered, I will be left with no option but to share this experience more widely

We purchased an engine from NW Autotechz which we found online stating the mileage and details. We purchased and weere told next day delivery. Waited almost 10 days, received no tracking information and no response. Upon arrival, the engine was very well packaged but had no paperwork showing the mileage or what vehicle it came from. We requested this and got no response. Engine was fitted to car and immediately shown issues. The engine just wasn't in as good condition as sold. We were advised by 3 separate garages that the engine would need completely rebuilding at a huge cost. Tried to resolve with supplier but they kept referring to T&C's of sale. We spent over £3000 including the cost of the engine to have out car running as new with new gearbox, clutch, injectors, cam belt and various other parts and now at a complete loss. Avoid at all costs. If something seems to good to be true, it's because it is!

Well they phoned me after 1st Choice had got hold of them and asked if I wanted a bare engine which had done 14k miles or a full engine with all ancils which had come off a car with 37k miles .I tool bit of time phoned my local garage and asked them for advice they said to go for the fully built engine .I phoned them back ..sam I spoke to and told him the fully built engine was better for me and aske him there and then what fullt built engine was he said to.me it was everthing in it ecept the starter motor and alternator but could transfer them off my engine so agreed so I paid 2150 pounds as he,was eager to do the deal.after 2 weeks I phoned once or twice and was told it was on pallet fully built just waiting for funds to clear.my garage phoned me to say the engine has come but nothing on it just exhaust manifold.i phoned back up and said to the lady in the phone she looked up on computer and said its the fully built engine I sed yes but told her there's nothing on it to which she replied oh they must 9f sent the wrong engine.
Sam phoned to say that that was the engine I was quoted for and the lady only worked in their office a week and didn't knw what she was talking about which was a complete lie, the engine come to.me with a cracked rocker cover sam did phone to say that was the case and i could put the one from my engine back on it which i said ok so long as everything else matches up gt it written on the top of my invoice complete engine.anyway after one lie and another I've now put the bank on to the case.
Stay away if I had read the reviews I would never of used this lot .I can't understand why 1st Choice supply this lot with details.

Bought an engine from these guys and at first we was worried it wouldn't show up due to the misleading reviews, but it did and it works all as it should. Could've done better with keeping us updated on ETA, but other than that they were really helpful and got a working engine out to us within a week!

To say this company well I'll call it a company because its registered scammers is an understatement

Please do read the negative reviews because from what I experienced they are all true

They say they have the engine and will ship out to you
Take your money when infact they don't actually have the engine to sell in the 1st place
They Try to fob you off
Do the old we have found you a better engine yet still not been delivered and tbh probably won't either
Don't use this company
They will give you a pile of bull
Oh and I've just been informed

Found NW AutoTechz through 1st Choice.Needed a reconditioned engine for my daughter’s Peugeot 208.Dealt with Syali.I bought an engine at a reasonable price on 17/10/23 which was delivered to my mechanic
19/10/23.Mech was pleased with condition of bare engine and was happy to proceed with job.Picked up car couple of days later.All’s good so far.

Worst company to ever deal with. Constant false promises, spoke to you like an idiot on the phone especially Simon, never delivered on any of the promises. Sent the wrong engine twice then told us it would be an extra £350 to get the correct engine which never came. Then charged us £500 for handling fees!! Took us for a ride for 8 weeks and all I'm left with handling fee charge and no engine. Please avoid at all costs. Was always told it'll be delivered this date, that date etc and it never came. I don't think they realise they're playing with people's livelihoods! Disgusting company and staff with 0 customers service skills. AVOID!

The worst company l have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.l paid for an engine by bank transfer and was told 3 to 5 days for delivery.A week passed with no delivery so l called only to be told that it wasn't out for delivery yet.lt arrived after 2 weeks but it was the wrong engine.Another 10 days passed before another engine arrived...again it was the wrong engine.They claimed not to know why this happened as serial nos. matched etc but still not the correct engine.Two days later they called to say they had the correct engine but it would cost an extra £350. I had no choice but to pay and await delivery which would be the following tues.but it never arrived,saying it would be there on Friday... didn't arrive and after a further 4 failed delivery dates,still no engine.They blamed the courier's for letting them down,it wasn't their fault.l offered to access a van to return their incorrect engine and pick up the correct one but they claimed it wasn't in their yard but was with the courier.l asked where exactly the courier's yard was and they couldn't tell me.l was willing to travel to the courier's but they couldn't tell who their courier was.lt was at this point l came to the conclusion they never had the engine to begin with.l requested a refund which arrived after almost two weeks later after many phone call and emails chasing it up but they deducted 25% for handling charges as per their terms and conditions.Nowhere in their t and ts does it say there is a charge if they fail to uphold their side of the deal.For over 6 weeks l was continually lied to by this shower of conmen and l recommend to give this firm as wide a berth as possible as they would try the patience of a saint.l am a taxi driver and they have cost me a fortune in lost wages due to their inability to deliver what they say they will.lf they went out of business tomorrow,l would raise a glass in celebration.lf l could give minus stars l would

Stay well clear of this company bunch of cowboys they couldn’t be honest if they tried I brought an engine on the 22/08/23 contact them to see when it would be delivered was told 2 to 5 working days 1 week later no engine try contacting them no answer no reply to my e-mails had to get 1st choice to contact them and they said the engine would be there no later than Thursday the 7/9/23 roll on Thursday no engine tried to contact them Friday no answer got 1st choice to contact they didn’t know wot was happening with the engine or the delivery but would get back to them later that never happened if I could give a minus rating they would get a 10.DO not deal with these crooks I’m now trying to get my money back and find an engine two and a half weeks behind because of them STAY CLEAR also be careful they advertise as a full engine when they get your money you get a invoice to sign which will have engine with no accessories, written on it another way of cheating you out of money Sam and Adam are good liars

after searching on 1st choice auto part finder i was contacted by symon on the wed 9th august offering me a like for like engine 2016 belingo with 41000 for the price of £1600 which i paid, 2 days later no engine ask for a refund he said it as been dispatched 6 days later no engine i ring back up and talk with sam manage to get a consignment number ,long story short symon went on ebay on the 12th and bought a engine from some place in the west midlands for £1200 didnt tell them engine codes the engine had 101000 miles on so i manage to track engine at ukpallets told them what was happening they returned engine back to ebayer garage who refunded nw autotechz ,i rang up loads of times to be told different things like sam is not here he as dirty hands cant go on computer to do refund usual rubbish i contacted greater manchester police,(action fraud met police) 14 days later i contacted 1st choice spares who i think contacted nw autotechz then by magic got my refund .
be very careful because if sam had nod given me the consignment number i would have never known i was going to be scammed,

i will give 1 star only because i have to to post review and also because i got refund
