Terry and his team @ Nugen Exteriors were amazing. They turned up on time every day, were polite, professional and took time to explain exactly what they would be doing. They always checked that we were happy with the plan and kept us informed whenever they needed to leave the site, letting us know when they were going and checking back in when they returned.

The clean-up at the end of each day was exceptional. They left the place looking as though they had never been there - in fact, it was even cleaner and tidier than before!

We are really pleased with our new roof I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nugen Exteriors to anyone looking for a reliable, professional service.

The boys did a very good job, despite the bad weather, they acted quickly and efficiently. It took them 4 days to replace the roof. After finishing work, they cleaned everything around the house. Very good and nice team

From the outset of our project to completion, Nugen have been an absolute pleasure to have do work for us. Our job was bespoke and not the easiest to create and work through and after having some roofing companies in, only Nugen were really positive about it. The attitude of EVERY member of staff has been warm and friendly and you know this is a well run company. The workmanship and attention to detail is fantastic with top class care and attention throughout. Even with a small delay in getting the parts from the manufacturer, Nugen updated us and kept us informed even though it was not on them at all. I would highly recommend Nugen without question and would definitely have them work for us again. This was our second time choosing Nugen exteriors. They completed our roof in 2023. We were so delighted with the work ethic of Terry and the team that we decided to go ahead and have the house re roughcasted.
Rather than picking colours from samples we visited Scotcast with Terry to chose what would look best. This was well worth doing.

I am very happy to recommend Nugen Exteriors, having had the roof of my house replaced by them in May–June 2026.

The first thing I appreciated was Terry’s thorough review of the property at the initial stage, followed by a detailed quote that not only covered the essential aspects of roof replacement but also incorporated my home improvement ideas, such as additional roof windows. At no point did the process feel rushed or pushy, which reassured me about the company and allowed me to make a decision without any unnecessary pressure.

I was then able to deal with the financial aspect of the project before committing to the quote, with no unexpected or repeated phone calls or emails. I never felt chased for business. There is a fine line between maintaining contact to build a relationship and haranguing customers with marketing communications or pressure. I can say with complete certainty that Terry and Nugen know exactly where that line is.

In terms of the work itself and the team who delivered it, roofworks - particularly full roof replacement - are disruptive at the best of times. However, Nugen’s staff handled everything extremely well, showing sensitivity and respect toward both my property and my neighbours’ (terraced housing). Each day, the team (Martyn, Lenny, Eddie, Jonny, Gary and others) were clearly focused on the job, with no unexplained breaks or issues. They were proactive in keeping me informed and reassured whenever needed. Their work ethic and can‑do attitude were evident throughout, even in the challenging weather conditions that are often unavoidable in Scotland.

Many people find communicating with builders difficult due to limited people skills or unhelpful attitudes. Nugen’s staff are attentive, polite, and - most importantly - approachable. Many other companies could learn from them about how to treat customers.

I also appreciated the recently developed site diary feature. Nugen emailed me a daily report summarising the work completed and outlining progress. As many aspects of roofwork are not visible from ground level - or are difficult to explain to a layperson without visual aids - this was extremely helpful and reassuring.

I was also able to speak with Terry and Lenny during their regular site visits. Both were happy to advise and assist whenever I needed clarification or further guidance. Even when it was not possible for them to respond immediately, they always got back to me at the earliest opportunity.

The works have been complete for nearly a month now and not only do I not see any issues, but I am also very satisfied with the results - it feels like a different, better house now, both inside and out! The works are also covered by a guarantee, for which a certificate is issued on completion. You can also opt into a care plan, which means that it is easier for you as a homeowner to seek assistance from Nugen for maintenance, future repairs etc.

If you are looking to renew or repair the roof of your home, I can wholeheartedly recommend Nugen Exteriors, along with their excellent team.

Were friendly and done a great job very happy with roof

We had extensive work carried out by Nugen, roof, velux windows, loft clearing and insulation, loft partial reflooring. We are delighted with how our home has been transformed and finally have our home the way we want it.
The roofers in particular are a phenomenal team and worth their weight in gold.

Extremely pleased with new replacement roof and service provided by NuGen. From initial contact until the walk through at the end I was kept informed of the process. Roofers turned up when expected and were extremely professional and left the area tidier than it was when they started! Would thoroughly recommend NuGen to anyone looking for roofing work.

About four years back, I had Nugen Exteriors take care of my gutters, fascias, and soffits, and they did an outstanding job with exceptional customer service.So, when a roof tile slipped just before I was leaving for vacation a couple of weeks ago, Terry was the first person to come to mind. I reached out to him at 6:06 PM, sharing my concerns about the potential damage if the tile fell.Terry graciously agreed to come by that night and arrived at my place by 6:40 PM to evaluate the situation. Understanding my worries, he promptly organized his team to fix the slipped tile the next day.The customer service was once again top-notch, even beyond regular business hours. I'm incredibly grateful to Terry and his team for responding so quickly and resolving everything within a day. I'll definitely return to them for future needs and highly recommend their services.
