Poor craftsmanship …
What i liked is that you had the part in stock that I needed .
What i didn't like is that unlike Summit Racing , who gives a total price including all the shipping charges etc , your company uses UPS to ship to Canada and I was presented with fees that were almost as much as the item. I know that is mostly out of your hands , but Summit seems to be able to make it work .
2nd thing is wasn't happy about is the product I ordered was specific for my car . Including the color , which was important . I have ordered numerous interior parts for a 1964 chevelle in the red color . The item i ordered was in fact red , but it was spray painted to a color of red that was so wrong it wouldn't belong in any chevelle from that era. Ironically, the original color of the item (before someone painted it ) was the correct color . So I needed to make a trip to the body shop supply store and buy a $25 can of vinyl & fabric spray and then sand & paint the items . Not cool

False advertising
Sent me rusted parts that were welded together. I only ordered the parts from NPD because I wanted them in two pieces and the page said they came in two parts, as did my receipt. Management told me “that’s how they come now.”

They have been great in the past and had again been exceptional and already have another part on it way. The issue was with The agency that was responsible for delivering the original part. Disappointed
Today is 4/9 and the first communication from NPD since my purchase on 4/1.A lack of updates on shipping or delivery is very disappointing.I will give consideration to ordering any future parts from NPD.

The product ordered is clearly marked as a "made-to-order" product (Legendary Interiors), and that lead-times could be 1-8 weeks, possibly longer. The order to Legendary was placed within 24-hours of us receiving the customer's order. We endeavor to communicate periodically with status, but that alone does not speed up the manufacturer. The ball is in Legendary's court, but we are reaching out for a fresh ETA today, which we will relay to the customer.

Part showed up bent in two places
Part showed up bent in two places . One corner had to be placed in box that way. Thin metal thought it would be a better product.

I am sorry that your rear seat divider arrived damaged. Since it is a flat piece of metal, straightening should hopefully not be a problem.. Unless the bends are compound (messy), in which case we will happily replace. As for the thickness of the metal, this might see counterintuitive at first, but there is no benefit installing a divider panel that is THICKER than the metal that surrounds it. In fact, as I’ve been told in the past by engineers, a measurably thicker panel would actually contribute more towards failure. Please allow me to explain… In the event of a severe rear impact, the integrity of the barrier behind your rear seat is only as strong as the weakest areas involved. For instance, if you installed a heavy and thick 14-gauge steel barrier back there, the forces/energy involved in the collision would then travel and SHRED all of the thinner factory steel that the panel was attached to. Think of it as if you installed a heavy solid steel door in the front of your home. But all of the framework surrounding the door remained the same. If intruders attempted to knock down the door with a battering ram, the heavy steel door would actually make the job EASIER for them, because the weight and rigidity of the door would easily overwhelm the surrounding frame. It would just flop over, all of the mounting points shattered, and nothing would be accomplished. When extreme force and energy is thwarted, it continues traveling elsewhere until it finds weakness. The same general engineering and physics applies to these dividers. They are produced in like-thickness steel to the areas they attach to, in the interest of the entire rear area being of equal strength and absorbing the energy together equally. That way, they contorting and giving at the same general rates, like a parachute or crash barrier works. Such that the sides, or the top/bottom of the assembly, don’t simply rip like a piece of paper, at the mercy of a too-thick center section. I apologize for the length!! But a heavy/thicker divider would be more dangerous, not less.
