Homepage horror

I have flown Norwegian on several occasions, and have always been satisfied with the service.
However, today I tried to book a return flight to Dublin. It turned out to be a nightmare. The page kept changing the dates of departure and arrival to the previous day, and this slowed the process down considerably. I eventually got as far as the reserving page, and tried to log in to my Norwegian account. I was told I could not due to "Api rate limit exceeded".
I had never heard of that. I went to pay, and it kept changing the amount to Euro instead of kroner. Finally, I went to pay, and nothing happened. It just refused to let me pay. Then it told me my first name was invalid, and wouldn't let me pay. I tried this on 3 different browsers. Eventually, we had to actually change computers. 90 minutes to book a flight. It takes the pleasure out of travelling.

So poor

I had a disappointing experience with Norwegian. The flight to Spain took around four hours, yet no meal was provided during the journey.

Additionally, checked baggage was not included, and surprisingly, passengers who paid extra for luggage were among the last to board.

I understand that tickets may be cheaper, but there are basic standards in air travel that should not be compromised. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those standards, and I will not choose this airline again.

Serious Safety Issue and No Accountability

I had a very concerning experience on Norwegian flight DY1790 (Oslo to Alicante, March 24, 2026).

I asked for water and was given boiling water in my tumbler without any proper warning. I was not told it was boiling. After taking a sip, I burned my tongue and had to rinse my mouth for 10–15 minutes. I am still experiencing pain.

What is most disappointing is the complete lack of adequacy and care from the crew. No apology was given at any point. Instead, I was told I had been informed, which is not true.

Customer service response was equally poor. My complaint was dismissed simply because I did not request medical assistance onboard, ignoring the fact that an injury clearly occurred.

This shows a serious lack of responsibility, poor handling of a safety issue, and very little regard for customer wellbeing.

Trying to add a piece of luggage with Norwegian Air - Expedia

I am to travel with Norwegian Air, I have booked a ticket via Expedia. I would like to add another piece of luggage to my flight. Have spend 2 hours so far and sitting in endless queues and have spend the money it would cost to add a small bag on waiting as not getting through.
Expedia suggests I speak to Norwegian and vice versa. Chat boots and virtual agents are not efficient and the whole exercise a an utter waste of time. AWFUL customer service.

Gepäck nachbuchen nicht möglich

Wir haben Flüge über das Portal Booking.com gebucht und haben als Airline Norwegian. Nun sollte Gepäck nachgebucht werden. Booking.com verwies auf Norwegian und Norwegian verwies auf Booking.com. Ende vom Lied. Wochenlange telefoniert, ohne Ergebnis. Wir konnten bis jetzt kein Gepäck dazubuchen, außer dann teuer am Flughafen. Es ist eine Frechheit, dass beide Partner ihre Zuständigkeiten nicht klar geregelt bekommen und der Kunde das Nachsehen hat. Buchungen bei Booking.com oder Norwegian Airlines kommen für uns nicht mehr in Frage!

Horrible website

Oh my, I've not even departed and I dread taking this flight! The website is awful. When using my computer I cannot pass over the 'Are you a human?' message page and through my phone web I can't change our family seats. I sent email to customer service and never got a reply.
Hopefully it will be my first and last time taking this airline and using its website to book anything.

Jeg har fløjet med Norwegian i flere år…

Jeg har fløjet med Norwegian i flere år og det er altid en god oplevelse! Det er hovedsageligt ruten mellem København / Montepellier eller København / Barcelona. Se man bort fra forsinkelser, som oftest er pga lufthavnslogistik i Barcelona, har mine ture altid føltes sikre, med et MEGET serviceminded personale.

Grunden til min anmeldelse er, at jeg har fået en kat, som jeg har planlagt skal med på flyet til Montepellier. Fordi det er helt nyt, ringede jeg til Norwegian, for at få afklaret nogle spørgsmål. Jeg fik fat i den sødeste og meget kompetente nordmand. Han var super engageret, vidende og venlig. Jeg fik den opfattelse, at Norwegian gerne vil investere i deres personale. Hvad vi ikke løste på engelsk, blev klaret på dansk/norsk.

Priserne er altid enormt gode, hvis man booker i tide. T/R til Montepellier med kat blev 2050 kr.

Jeg har aldrig de store krav til mit luftfartsselskab, fordi mine ture er meget korte. Jeg vil føle mig sikker i et fly som fremstår som er velholdt. Der skal være plads til min kabinekuffert og jeg vil gerne have et flypersonale som er venlige og informative. Det lever Norwegian op til hver gang.

Norwegian Airlines poor customer service

Early this year,5-8 January, the Norwegian flight from Amsterdam to copenhagen was cancelled. I was rebooked for the following day, however no help from Norwegian for the stranded passengers to secure a hotel room etc. via text message it was communicated to the stranded passengers to sort out this problem on their own. The next day, again the flight was cancelled - no additional help initiated by Norwegian airlines. After several attempts to get through to their customer help desk, and looooooong waiting time, I managed to get them to confirm a seat on the next available flight,two days later! A claim was submitted in accordance with with their communication and regulations applicable. However, now several weeks later absolutely radio silence from Norwegian, even though they have confirmed the claim received. Absolutely horrible level of customer service for stranded passengers, and the follow up from their side.

I booked a flight with Norwegian

I booked a flight with Norwegian, paid extra for specific seats. But what was displayed online did not match the actual airplane disposition, and I ended not seated like I paid for. Norwegian was very disrespectful when I asked for a refund for just the extra seat fee, which of course never happened. Absolute garbage airline company.

NO VOLEIS CON ESTA COMPAÑÍA!

Compras un billete. Tras varias llamadas a su supesta atención al cliente (inefiencia máxima) no pueden modificar ni gestionar tu reserva, hay que ir al aeropuerto el día de vuelo (ojo) y pagar ahi la millonada por una maleta de cabina extra. Que ellos no pueden gestionartelo. Menuda eficiencia la suya. Nunca más.

Bag not allowed to travel with me overseas?…

My bag was put in the hold even though the flight was departing late with no time to pick up the bag (this wa s a rule when you paid for your bag at airport) - I never got the bag with my overseas flight - Norwegian would not transfer it to the other international airline to have it forwarded to me because they had no relationship with that airline- Unbelievable that such a thing could actually happen, dont have anything to do with this airline!

Horrendous Customer Service

If I could give less than one star, I would.

I have had a family members bag go missing (which happens) but the way it been dealt with and the excuses and lack of communication is nothing short of shambolic.

Failure to return multiple emails, failure to give me straight answers on the phone and all round poor customer service.

I would advise to stay away from this airline and they clearly do not care about their customers. They have had 5 days to get lost luggage to us. After agreeing not to send the bag to us due to us returning the same day, they went against what they agreed and sent the bag to Denmark and we are now back in Manchester.

One word - Shambles.

Impuntuales, caros e informales

Si tienes un vuelo puedes llevar una bolsa que quepa bajo el asiento de 10kgs. Si pagas por llevar una maleta pequeña de cabina, 55x20x25 siguen siendo 10 kgs en total, te venden llevar una maleta que no pese nada si eso es posible. No se como no me pidieron pesar la chaqueta que llevaba puesta.
Usan la lógica del tramposo.
La oferta para comer en el vuelo es muy escasa y relativamente cara comparada con otras compañias.
Además de cara a eso sumale la impuntualidad, salió el avión con más de 2 horas de retraso con el perjuicio añadido que me causó el siguiente transporte y llegar al destino a deshoras.
En lo suecesivo evitaré volar con esta compañía. Su negocio es confundir a la gente.
En total el coste del vuelo fue 4 veces superior al de una famosa compañía lowcost, en la que cobran por todo pero sabes cuanto cobran por cada cosa, resultando que pagar por todo en mucho más barato que el precio de partida de Norwegian.

Norwegian gør alt for at snyde sig ud af at skulle betale det de skylder!

Det startede med jeg skulle flyve fra Barcelona lufthavn og hjem til København
Her er den forsinket med først et kvarter, så et kvarter mere og et kvarter mere. Dette fortsætter i 4 timer, hvorefter de aflyser flyet netop i tide til man ikke kunne nå den næste afgang

Lang historie kort, jeg kommer først hjem efter 2 døgn og har lagt ud for rundt regnet 4.200 kr ekstra af egen lomme på alt fra mad, drikke og hotelophold. Dette har jeg krav på at få tilbage plus 400 euro for aflysning af flyet.
Som om det ikke skulle være nok, havde det også lykkedes dem at ødelægge min kufferts hjul i den tid den har brugt på at komme ind i flyet og ud igen, da flyet jo aldrig har lettet fra jorden. Refusion for kuffert har jeg aldrig fået noget for, da prisen ikke var mere end selvrisiko.

De 400 euro får jeg efter et fejlforsøg selv og derefter at hyre airhelp til at ordne sagen for mig. Det skulle de have 1/3 af de 400 for.

Dernæst har jeg selv skulle stå for at sende mine kvitteringer ind enkeltvis inde på norwegians hjemmeside for at gøre krav på mine ekstra udgifter. Hver gang står der at dokumenterne er sendt ind og jeg vil modtage en bekræftigelsesmail. Får her et referencenummer.

Denne mail modtager jeg aldrig og hver gang jeg er inde og tjekke på sagen med det reference nummer jeg havde fået, så får jeg at vide at denne sag ikke eksistere

Har derefter ringet til dem, da man heller ikke kan komme i kontakt over mail, hvor jeg venter i halvanden time næsten hver gang før jeg endelig (hvis jeg er heldig) kommer i kontakt med et rigtigt menneske.
Her informerer jeg om hvordan min situation er, hvorefter jeg bliver omstillet til én der kan hjælpe. Hver gang jeg bliver omstillet går der ca. 5 min så bliver opkaldet blot afbrudt og jeg sidder tilbage med kun frustrationer og endnu en spildt fridag. Dette er stået på i 15 måneder og jeg har sendt disse dokumenter ind mindst 6 gange efterhånden og ringet til dem mindst 14 gange

Har brugt… jeg ved snart ikke hvor mange timer af mit liv på det her uden nogen resultater og jeg er ved at gå ud af mit gode skind af frustrationer

Dato for oplevelse startede d. 7. August 2024, men er noteret som i dag, da den stadig er i gang og ikke har været afsluttet.

Let down

Norwegian Airways When they are on time, they manage it — but when they choose to delay flights, they do so without any concern for how it affects their customers.

On one earlier flight, they damaged my suitcase. Now, upon disembarking from my most recent flight, I discovered that one side of my overhead suitcase was wet — I can’t understand why! Was the aircraft roof leaking?

I’ve had two delayed flights with them recently. The first delay meant I reached my accommodation past midnight with very limited transport options. The second delay was even worse — I missed my bus, had to wait almost three hours, and pay a huge additional amount to book another one.

Norwegian has truly been a letdown. If you have a late flight with them, just know that there’s a good chance it might be delayed!

Appalling customer service

Wow I wish I had seen these reviews before booking and interesting to see Norwegian haven't bothered to reply to them. We travelled 14th July & only got customer service partly sorted 3 months later. Arrived at Oslo to discover our evening flight to Gatwick was delayed a few hours but then going to Copenhagen instead and then a morning flight from there to Gatwick. So 13 hours delay and repeated lack of customer service action afterwards. Finally got the statutory EU compensation of 500 Euros and nothing else eg cost of an extra night in car park was down to us. They know you're unlikely to pursue these smaller amounts & so usually get away with it. We found their interactions very delayed and unhelpful. Give good service and we'll tell our friends but give poor service and we'll tell everyone we meet.
