Des MENTEURS , NORTON affirme qu'ils m'ont contacté et que je suis injoignable : j'ai vérifié et je n'ai AUCUNE trace d'appel !
Je les ai appelés au tél et me répondent :
" Ce n'est pas de ma faute ! On va vous rappeler d'ici 24 à 48 heures. " Alors que ça fait 8 jours que j'attends!!!
NORTON a définitivement perdu 1 client ; fidèle depuis 2006!

Real rip off

Real rip off. I subscribe to their premium service. Should I follow their "random" computer check it would cost me more than one thousand dollars a year on top of the premium service. Their VPN included in the premium subscription does not work at all. I cannot block the weekly pop ups they sent to try to get money from me. AVOID THAT SHIT as it would even be too expensive if it was free. Customer service is shit. I will never renew a purchase labelled Norton !

To write a comment, one needs to put a star. But it is my honest belief that scale needs to change. NORTON deserves a menos one star.
Here's my story, and it's fresh, I just left their customer service, thehuman one. On Nov 7, I took the cheap virus protection and paid for it. Immediately after, my computer began slowing down to get on my nerves type of speed. Unreasonable speed ! A week ago, I had enough and got rid of it completely from my laptop. The speed came back right after. I experienced the same scenario so long ago, and it all came back to me then. I just spent the last hour online with their customer service to cancel right now my renewal and request for a refund when they say we have 60 days to request it. I got neither ! Nothing, nada, zero ! They emailed me so I could provide them with the picture of the transaction from my bank account. I told them, the email you just sent me says it's a no reply message. They answered it's ok, just send me the info. I had to do their job, go to my to bank account and send them a copy of the transaction, which I did. A mail deamon appeared stating that the account could not be reached because it was full. They asked me the NP number, which I provided. They couldn't find my account or transaction. And then, they wanted more proof, I said that was enough.
WE ARE TRUSTING THIS COMPANY FOR THE PROTECTION OF OUR PERSONAL OR BUSINESS COMPUTERs WHEN THEY CANNOT EVEN MANAGE OUR PURCHASING ACCOUNT OR TRANSACTIONS. I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A JOKE !

This is THE WORST service provider on the planet earth.
1. They lock you in to their contracts entrapment I call it
2. They have no option on their website to unsubsidized from their contracts.
3. The take money from your account before due date as they did to me and lied on a email that they were unable to access my account but then took my money out anyway weeks before the due month, but at the same I was trying time to find the option to deregister myself from renewing my contracting but they extracted money before the due month
3.They have no option for direct contact between them and their customers to resolve issues particularly such as I had to stop any contract renewal.
4. They take customers money illegally knowing customers have no means available to redeem their funds from this unscrupulous villainous company.
4, WARNING to potential clients DONT SIGN UP WITH THEM.
5. THEIR REVIEWS ALONE ARE TELLING IN ITSELF THEY SHOULD BE SHIFTED OF THEIR STATUS AS A TOP BRAND READ THE REVIEWS TO STOP THEM ROBBING FUTURE CLIENTS. THATS MY OPINION AND THATS MY EXPERIENCE OF THIS ROGUE OUTFIT

Doom pop ups and scare tactics

Have been with Norton for over ten years, but much more of the "doom messages" then will not renew next year.
I thought I paid for protection and good running of my laptops but now I am getting regular pop up messages with scare tactics suggesting I must buy this or that.
Whoever suggested this up at Norton needs a kick up the backside, you are p*$$&^g off customers who will walk if it carries on.

I really like Norton on all my electronics

I really like Norton on all my electronics. Keeps me safe . And when my computer is running slow , running Norton scans and fixes always gets my speed back. I have Norton on all my electronics . I'm G. B. Greiner and I trust Norton anti virus.

Achtung Betrug!

Achtung Betrug!
Ich habe letztes Jahr im April einen Virenschutz kaufen wollen, jedoch wurde erst nach der Bezahlung sichtbar, daß es sich um ein Abo handelt.
Der Vertrag wurde sofort storniert aber dieser kriminelle Verein hat garnicht reagiert.
Ich habe auch nie eine Ware erhalten, daß Geld dafür war bezahlt und weg.
Genau ein Jahr später hat Norton für die Verlängerung wieder 30 € widerrechtlich abgebucht und auch wieder nicht auf meine Schreiben reagiert.
Nach langer Suche im Internet habe ich dann eine recht aufwendige Möglichkeit zur Kündigung per Einschreiben gefunden, diese kostet jedoch weitere 22 €.
Somit habe ich über 80 € für nichts raus geschmissen, denn jetzt nach 4 Wochen der Kündigung wollen die eine Bestellnummer, Produktinfo sowie ein screen shot von irgend etwas, was ich nicht zuordnen kann.
Diese betrügerische kriminelle Firma weigert sich mit seinen Schikanen weiterhin mein Geld zurück zu zahlen bzw. meine Kündigung anzuerkennen.
VORSICHT vor diesen BETRÜGERN!!!!
NIE WIEDER NORTON ANTIVIRUS!!!!!!

Norton
What can I say.
It was the go to company in the 90’s.
Norton anti virus, and Norton commander was lightyears ahead of everyone else in the 90’s.
That is probably why I feel so disappointed at their present business model.
In short I’m sorry to say, that I advise everyone to steer clear of that company, and anyone even slightly associated with Norton.
Why?
1. They try to sell you the code book to the code book.
An old scam, best illustrated in by Marx brothers in “Marx brothers at the track".
What this means is, that if you buy the full package of Norton antivirus, you kind of expect it to protect you from viruses, and clean your computer. After all it did in the 90’s.
But no.
It will find the problems for you, but to solve them, you need to buy upgrades.
You need an upgrade to protect you from phishing, an upgrade to protect you from trojans (really come-on, trojans where there at the beginning of the internet, hardly a new an unforeseen threat), an upgrade to actually make a simple disc-clean, etc.
I.e. the code book to the code book.
2. The programs themselves are unimpressive.
In the package there is a VPN program, but it does not fool anyone.
The amateurish coding (encryption) does not bypass any server with anyone able to write a 0 and a 1.
My version of Norton VPN, have never fooled a single server. So far they all know, where I am, even though my Norton VPN claim, that I am in Australia.
3. Norton is disruptive in constantly informing you, about it’s work.
In spite of this being the major issue on their own FAQ site for 8 years, they have done nothing, to make it possible for their loyal customers, to turn the damn messages of.
It is like a dishwasher, that shuts down all electricity in the house, until you acknowledge, that it has cleaned a cup. Once acknowledged, the dishwasher continues it’s work, until it has cleaned a spoon, then it turns of the lights again, until you acknowledge, that it has cleaned a spoon, etc.
That is Norton antivirus.
I do realize that coders are insecure creatures, that need constant recognition to function, but still, this is ridiculous. Especially when half Nortons FAQ is filled with otherwise satisfied customers asking for a way to turn the damn notifications of.
4. Last, It is very difficult to get the damn thing out of your system, once you have bought it.
Luckily I have changed my bank, so now I will finally, hit the unsubscribe, at the right time.
Or rather; no matter what, I will no longer be paying them. So when my present subscription is up for renewal, I will finally be free.

Norton killed my PC performance

While Norton is one of the most well-known antivirus software, I didn't have a great experience with Norton for three main reasons.

First: CPU and RAM usage

The antivirus WILL be heavy on your laptop's hardware consuming a good chunk of your CPU and RAM.

Second: Ads to buy more services from them

While I understand the technique of upselling very well, the way you will keep getting pops to buy 3 or 4 more services is just annoying to me.
Norton seemed more like a Trojan horse with the relatively inexpensive yearly subscription from the outside but the hidden services that they will try to convince you to buy on the inside.

Third: customer support

Norton will offer a 60-day satisfaction guarantee on the yearly purchase. In my case, I bought it on 17/November/2023 for a year and used it not for so long as this was bought for my personal laptop that I don't use often as I have a work laptop with me in addition to the Christmas and end of year vacation.
When I contacted customer support today (2/February/2024) showing that I barely had enough time to test the antivirus well, they refused my refund request although the issue was escalated to a senior.

As such, I don't suggest that you buy Norton antivirus unless you have a laptop with an advanced processor, lots of RAM, and a fast drive that may not be affected as much as my laptop that has a 6th generation intel core i5, 20 GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD

A mistake buying Norton

Since buying Norton my PC has crashed repeatedly, to the extent I’ve had to buy a new one. The antivirus either didn’t work (preventing malware) or caused the malfunctioning. Moreover, Norton AI pumped out lots of advertising promising to solve the problem.

Norton immoral business practice of ignoring cancellations

I cancelled my renewal subscription for Norton Security and received confirmation from Norton on 9 May 2023. Today I received a notice from Norton that it had activated my renewal and charged my Visa card. Yes, there is a charge against my bank account. I tried to contact Norton help - no success. I was repeatedly blocked from a chat session. My bank cannot reverse charge -a dispute resolution is the only option. The Norton Community board confirms my experience is rife. A success with dispute is unlikely. I have cancelled my Visa card. Never again will I pay a subscription by Visa. I will pay use PayPal or not at all.

Norton is the virus

As a long term user it has become very spammy over recent years with their alerts. But the straw that broke the camel's back was the way they have made it soooooo difficult to switch on windows defender anti virus and leave norton. They literally block you from making the change in your computer settings as though it is a security threat. At that point one thing is clear... norton anitvirus is the virus on my machine.

Unprofessional and rude

Received a card telling me that they were going to take money out of my account for a subscription I no longer use. When I tried to talk to someone in India about it, the guy was extremely unhelpful and rude, telling me that because I no longer had access to my old email address or old credit card no. they wouldn't be able to cancel my old subscription. They weren't interested in me giving some bank account details or the fact that I had the old key. Their 'protocols' are hopeless and the people you talk to are rude and unprofessional. Steer clear of Norton.

Very difficult to install from a scratch card

I just bought a scratch card for a Norton 360 Premium 1 year pre paid subscription. It was incredibly difficult to install. I did not expect that. Not user friendly, why would they make it so darn difficult? I don't understand. It took me hours and I'm no novice on a computer. Utterly ridiculous! No, I DO NOT recommend this company.

VOLEURS, ESCROS !! j'achète en ligne un logiciel anti virus à 15 € environs, semaine du 21/11/2022. Au moment de télécharger la clé, ce site exige à nouveau mon état civil et mes références bancaires pour accepter dans un an un renouvellement facturé 75 € !.

Impossible d'outrepasser la validation de cette page.

J'ai perdu 15 €.

Ce comportement délictueux incitera à apparition des "gilets noirs à multiples têtes de morts" imprimées dans le tissu....

I never had any problems with norton , but to renew it its always so tricky each time and why should ppls have to give out theire bank card number if we have the new key to sert in to renew it.i dont trust it.

Appalling

I called a Norton local number help line here in England. When bill from my sim card contract with 'ee' arrived, extra charge was 136.80 pounds sterling. This for a usa call lasted 39 minutes,11 sec.

Norton transferred my call to usa without my permission and without informing me. They knew I would be charged for international call.

My sim provider, ee, as a gesture of good will, refunded me 68.40, leaving me with a bill to pay for 68.40 pounds sterling.

Impossible to get this back from Norton. I will insist on email only, in dealing with Norton, if I have to deal with them.

The call also switched my mechanical keyboard to 'American' keyboard, so I have lost my English keyboard and ended up with a nuisance keyboard.

Norton has brought me nothing but a huge amount of grief.
