Pretty good experience

I am a relative newcomer to Northern Power but I have found a staff to be very knowledgeable, professional, and extremely personable.

Northern Power offer a range of services such as, natural gas, electrical power, and green energy sources, such as solar panels.

I have found their products and rates for exceeded my original expectations not only for their rates, but also for the quality of their products being offered.

I highly recommend Northern Power for your energy needs, for the quality of products and services, rates offered and exemplary staff.

After months of trying to get through to someone, Frank got my problem solved within minutes. I am very grateful.

I bought these Solar panels through Kenneth. He was very informative and friendly. I have t had a chance to really compare. It seems are bills are still a bit high.

All salesmen should tell their customers that when it snows that it will really come down off the roof. Just a reminder as we have 2 dogs. One just missed getting hit by the slide off the roof.

First this was massively overpriced. They lied about the panels I was receiving and switched the new style for the old. I couldn’t be anymore unhappy with this service. I deeply regret my purchase.

The men were friendly, polite, and efficient. Do to weather conditions it was slower going than planned.

If you connect with this company beware. First of all, the first promise they make is that you will receive multiple quotes. You will only receive one. The experience of the gentleman in the CBC story was almost mine. The price I was quoted was more than three times the market price. That is an ethical problem!

My system was installed late 2024, but was not functional until late February, 2025. In the process there were a number of items that I expressed concern for. The electrician’s poor workmanship caused damage that I had to repair, they over billed me by around $2000 and the my system got lost from theirs and I can’t access information on my system. It is now February 2026 and the only thing resolved, after many phone calls and emails, is the damage caused by the electrician.

Northern Power appears to have significantly overcharged for the solar installation, with costs reportedly nearly triple the standard market rate. That alone raises red flags, especially if pricing, system size, or expected savings were not clearly explained upfront. Even more concerning is that after the installation, there has been no noticeable reduction in your electricity bills, which completely undermines the core purpose of investing in solar in the first place. Instead of generating savings, you’re now stuck in a situation where you’re paying the same utility costs as before while also making ongoing payments for the solar system—essentially paying twice with no return.

To make matters worse, your repeated attempts to contact the company to get clear answers or resolve the issue have gone nowhere. That lack of responsiveness after they’ve already taken your money suggests poor customer service at best and potentially unethical business practices at worst. A reputable solar provider should be able to clearly justify pricing, show system performance data, explain billing impacts, and actively work with customers when expected savings aren’t being realized.

At this point, it feels less like a bad deal and more like you were misled—sold the promise of savings without the actual results to back it up. If you haven’t already, it may be worth. do your shopping diligently before committing a contract with them.

Read an article about how they charged TRIPLE the normal price of a solar system to a poor man and gouged him dry. This was when government was still giving 40k loans at 0% interest and they wanted him to couch up several thousand sand more dollars out of pocket!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!

I would just like to say that I've been with Northern power, I was signed up about 4 months ago I've gotten a great amount of return in my investment Troy Ellis was our representative that helped us he was very informative totally trustworthy definitely knew his information and now I'm not paying an electricity bill anymore Plus getting extra money back in return thank you Troy I will definitely refer Northern power and yourself to anybody that has interest!

Troy did a wonderful job explaining and walking me through the process for my first time using this kind of energy, it was a pleasure working with him!

Ward the best. I had no hesitation booking with northern PWR because he is so knowledgeable and I am so excited for this journey. If you aren’t going solar you need to rethink. Book with my guy ward!
