Norway in a Nutshell Tour...we had booked a Norway in a Nutshell Tour and were extremely pleased with the product. Starting with the communication. The documentation was provided in a timely manner. The hotels chosen by Nordic Visitor were fantastic. They were all within 3-5 minutes walk from the train station, clean, with good breakfasts. The location of the hotels was also excellent as it was convenient for any sightseeing we were doing in the designated city. The train, fjord ferry, bus, train connections were on time and well planned. We recommend the option for staying one night in Flam as doing the journey from Oslo to Bergen would be a very long day - and if you are doing it in the fall/winter you will be doing a portion of the fjord cruise in the dark. I highly recommend Nordic Visitor and the Norway in a Nutshell Tour.

We've used Nordic Visitor four times over the past seven years and have had a terrific experience each time! We will be using them again. Why?

Prompt, thorough, and complete service every time. We actually look forward to seeing what interesting and unique hotels they've picked every night. Seamless logistics, impeccably organized and presented, that with helpful travel guides allow us to spend our preparation time focused on what we want to do in the destination cities.

On the few occasions on which we had some difficulties (not due to NV), they have been very helpful and responsive.

Nordic Visitor has planed vacations foir us in Iceland and Scotland and both trips were perfect. The plans coivered asll the highlights of both countries. All the accomodations were boutique hotels. Nordic even made reservations for us at the best restaurants at each location. Weather diverted us at one location in Scotland and Nordic promptly rerouted us around the storm. We will be using them again for Norway.

My travel to Iceland was my second experience with Nordic Visitor and it has been as wonderful as the first! The service is courteous, prompt, precise, personalized. You have a "key in hand" full package when you arrive, our accommodations were just extraordinary, even beyond our expectations in some places! The map, fully detailed and pictured travel book, free wi-fi in the vehicle and basically portable everywhere, and the 24 hours service are just fantastic! Every attention is given to details for our comfort and pleasure, going as far as offering complementary access to a wonderful hot baths site! Instant refund for the cancellation of a ferry crossing (not Nordic's fault) All in all, just a great agency, great staff and great service! I will travel again with them as soon as I can!

We just completed an 8 day northern lights tour around the ring road in Iceland. The trip was fantastic.

Our guide Dagur really made the trip fun. He had lots of local knowledge, stories, and jokes.

Our coordinator Elena was easy to work with and answered all the questions that I had quickly. Nordic Visitor made everything very easy.

If you have been contemplating a trip to Iceland, do it; you won’t be disappointed.

The way I was responded to from the time I had enquired about the tour and till I left the country all queries of mine were answered very diligently and support provided through out. Travelled with Nordic Visitor on the Ring Road in Iceland. From the pre-trip arrangements from Emily in Iceland to Reynir our guide and driver I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Began with a visit to the Blue Lagoon after our arrival in Reykjavik and I would recommend starting your trip this way. The online description of the Ring Road tour provides all the trip details. What is does not capture is the feeling of travelling through the beauty of the land of fire and ice. Accommodations were great and the meals were excellent. Reynir was most informative about the history, geology and culture of Iceland and was very attentive to our group’s needs. Our group of 16 people from various parts of the world bonded nicely though the trip and I heartily recommend Nordic Visitor in Iceland,

Marko was fantastic in walking through the whole planning process. Every question was answered promptly. We had the best time with a perfectly planned trip. Bago our driver and guide was just the best!! So kind, knowledgeable and we felt so safe in her driving us and guiding us through our trip. I have already recommended Nordic visitors to many friends.

Both tours (Scandinavia & Iceland) were amazing! Everything was well organized but also flexible. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Adjustments were made along the way for those of us who are not as young as we used to be. This was greatly appreciated by a number of tour members.
I loved the rib-boat experience in Flam and the snowstorm in Iceland was a huge bonus!!

Gabriella set up all our tours and transport and every tour was exceptional.
Gummy took us to the Northern Lights. His enthusiasm was contagious and we got to see the Northern lights while drinking delicious hot chocolate. Wendy took us on a southern tour and we got to see the tectonic plates, geyser, and many other amazing sites.
Davila took us on the Gold Coast tour and we walked behind a waterfall. We had a wonderful walking tour led by Arno who was so knowledgeable! We learned a lot and would highly recommend Gabriella and Nordic visitor for an Iceland vacation!

My then fiancé and I wanted to travel to Iceland for our honeymoon. We weren't sure if we should book everything ourselves or go through a travel agency. We ended up choosing Nordic Visitor, and we loved every second of it! We enjoyed the options they offered and loved that we could customize our stay as well (we booked a snorkeling excursion).

Our northern lights tour was unfortunately canceled on our first night, and our travel agent, Zachary, helped reschedule it (twice) for us with no issue. Our second day in Iceland, our Blue Lagoon trip was canceled due to horrible weather, but just as before, it was rescheduled for a different day immediately.

If I had any questions about where to eat or where we could download pictures from after an excursion, our agent emailed back in a timely manner. It felt great having someone within reach when I needed them.

We loved every single one of our tour guides! They really made our trip special. Overall, it was a lovely honeymoon, and we highly recommend Nordic Visitor!

We just completed the Nordic Visitor 17-day self-driving Grand Tour of Scotland tour and it was an amazing trip. Our travel advisor Jana Machalkova was so patient answering our many pre-trip questions. Jana also helped us customize the trip and made wonderful suggestions about hikes we could do, which was a high priority for us. She was very responsive to our email questions and kept us updated on the booking process. We were impressed to pick up the travel packet she prepared for us at our first hotel in Edinburgh, with vouchers for each night's lodging and ferry ride vouchers to the 5 different islands we would visit. Most impressive was the very large map of Scotland she provided - with the suggested driving route highlighted in one color, and suggested sites in another color. This was invaluable. Everything went like clockwork. Our itinerary involved driving a total of 1,700 miles over 17 days -- some days that many miles seemed like too much, but we were the ones who wanted an itinerary to see as much of Scotland as we could ... and we did! Nordic Visitor even provided a booklet with suggested restaurants for each city. Finally, Jana went above and beyond when she was able to retrieve 3 hats (one a new tweed cap that we had just purchased) that we accidentally left in our rental car. With Jana's help, they arrived today (we're in the U.S.). My husband was thrilled to get his cherished hats back. We highly recommend Jana and Nordic Visitor! Thank you for a trip of a lifetime.

Nordic Visitor was an awesome partner in planning and arranging our trip to Scandinavia. We worked directly with a travel advisor through all pre travel activities. Everything worked out great during the trip and we were well prepared by our advisor. The company offers guided tours but we choose independent travel. They arranged for hotels, transportation and day excursions. The hotels were either Scandic or Thon properties and all were clean, spacious and well located. They offer two levels of hotels and we stayed at the higher level which were 3 and 4 star.

Definitely include the Norway in a Nutshell journey if you are traveling to Norway. We also recommend making dinner reservations or at least planning your dinners in advance. Breakfasts are included. We went on several food tours so lunches were covered.

We thank Nordic Visitor so much for arranging such a wonderful trip. Everything was perfect in providing spectacular scenery and a variety of impressive accommodations. We had a great time despite a few problems. First of all, one of our two pieces of baggage never showed up at the Munich airport but we managed with fewer clothing changes. Secondly, and more importantly, the navigation on our Sixt car rental was antiquated and difficult to follow despite the assistance of maps. This was after we had rejected two other cars at the rental as we depend heavily on vocal navagiton. However, we still managed to arrive at our destinations in time and only got lost when listening to locals. All in all, it was a fascinating experience arranged by Nordic Visitor and is why I've stayed with them over the years for my trip planning.

The trip was extremely well organized. The company gives you a personal contact to answer all your questions, communicating frequently. Marko was ours and he was fantastic. Very responsive. Our Guide for the tour was Kiddi. He was very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. It was especially good to be “in his hands” during a record breaking freak snowstorm. We hit all the key sights and more. It was great having the flexibility to make stops off itinerary. A great trip.

Communication with Nordic Visitor was quick and easy. All aspects of our trip, the travel, tours, excursions, and lodging, were seamless and easy to navigate throughout each stop in Norway.

We did a 8 day/7 night northern lights circle tour in Iceland, including an extra additional day before the tour began so we were there from Oct 21 until the 29th. This was our first international trip. Markó Puskás, our travel consultant, made sure our booking inquiries were answered promptly as well as ensured our transports in between hotel and airport were covered. Our tour guide Aron was more than amazing. Very knowledgeable, hilarious, and always kept our group engaged with the entire tour. While showing and transporting us from the structured schedule of the circle tour, he always included history and local stories. I wouldn’t have asked for anyone better than him! And I would love to also thank our wonderful food tour guide, Dagur. Another yet amazing enthusiastic and hilarious individual who made sure we were well fed on such wonderful cuisine here in Reykjavík. Always kept the group engaged and laughing along the way. Thank you all so much for making this very special for us.

My travel advisor Marko promptly answered all my email questions, kept me informed of the booking process, and even provided suggestions for tours before/after our Nordic Visitor tour.

Our driver/guide Reynir did a fine job. He talked just enough during our journey to keep us interested without talking too much. He was a very good organizer, keeping is informed of when/where to be someplace. He was an excellent driver.

There was enough activity each day. Most days on the minibus from 9-5. Usually 3-4 different stops. Most were nature related, but there were cultural stops as well. At almost every stop people could explore at their own pace which was very important as the group had a wide variety of fitness levels. The sights were amazing!

Our accommodations ranged from good to outstanding. The food was excellent at all the hotels. The service everywhere was very good.

I would strongly recommend this tour.

Lauriane was amazing. We booked a 10 day driving trip in Scotland. She consistantly communicated with us, advising us on options and setting up all our request. We stayed in a wide variety of inns/hotels/lodges all fabulous. We were late one night to check in and Nordic Visitors called us to make sure we were ok.
The documentation we received was extreamly helpful. We recieved a book with a peronsal itinerary, 147 places to visit by location, a restaurant list, driving instruction and other useful information.
We added addtional dates at the end of the Nordic trip and they handled all the reservations. I would encourage anyone planning a trip to look at Nordic Visitors. You won't be disappointed. We will be taking another trip next year with them to Ireland! Can't wait!!!!!

We love having everything pre-booked in terms of lodging and travel. It makes everything so much easier and it's great to know if you need help, someone is a quick email or phone call away. We had a storm come through during our stay in Ireland and the company called to check in on us and make sure everything was OK.

We love working with Nordic Visitor. They are very organized and we never feel lost on our trips. They suggest wonderful sites to see and we pick and choose what we want to do.

This is our third trip with Nordic Visitor and it won't be out last.
