Physical book was purchased which was nice enough. Received a charge after the fact for the app which I did not use or authorise a subscription for. Refund request denied. Highly unethical tactic!

SCAM - THEY KEEP TAKING YOUR MONEY

Purchased the physical book for a birthday present... everything was fine and then all of a sudden exactly one month later I see a charge of 42.29 on my debit card from Nordastro.. I come the find that by purchasing the book you automatically get enrolled into a month subscription. I NEVER was told there will be further monthly charges.. I NEVER got an email with the breakdown of what I am receiving with the subscription.. I NEVER got ANY information on how to cancel and manage the subscription.. I only found out about this random subscription when I emailed the company to ask for a refund on the charge I thought was some sort of error or mistake on there end since I HAD NO IDEA AND WAS NOT INFORMED ABOUT THE SCAM SUBSCRIPTION they automatically decided to set up. They refused to refund me BUT I did get my money back from calling my bank and disputing the charge. If you have been wrongfully charged like myself.. all you have to do is call your bank and dispute the charge and you will get your money back! Unfortunately I had to cancel my debit card and get a new one to avoid and future charges from this company! BE WARNED THEY WILL KEEP TAKING YOUR MONEY MONTH AFTER MONTH.. I would use a PREPAID credit card and only load it with the amount of what the physical book costs so any future scam charges don't go through! Hope this helps, be careful when shopping online!

Well, at first I was frustrated.

At first, I tried to get the paperback book but somehow during checkout it changed to the online download book. I sent a a message in it was fixed. Shortly after.I’m very excited to get my book in my hands.

WARNING

WARNING: Questionable ethics and moral in doing business. Horrible customer service. If you gave it a positive review there’s a possibility that you might come back and change it because you won’t know until you are charging unknowingly. Either don’t buy or contact them for cancellation immediately and keep the book

I ordered a physical book from Nordastro.com and received the product as expected. Regardless of whether the book itself is good or bad, I did receive the physical item and used it.

However, during checkout I was unexpectedly enrolled in a recurring coaching subscription that was not clearly presented. I did not intend to subscribe to anything beyond the book purchase.

I was later charged over USD 90 for the digital subscription, which I never accessed or used. I did not knowingly consent to a recurring service, and there was no clear payment management section in my account where I could review or manage the subscription. Additionally, the “Contact Us” function on the website did not work properly when I initially tried to reach support.

When I contacted customer service, I was told the subscription charges are non-refundable due to policy, despite the fact that I never used any of the digital services and canceled immediately after discovering the charge.

Customers should not be surprised by recurring charges when purchasing a physical product. Subscription terms must be clearly disclosed, and there should be transparent payment management options available in user accounts.

I hope this review encourages improvements in transparency and customer protection. Maybe as a warning to stay away from buying service from them. I had 5 emails replied saying the same thing even with a video efficiency that there are no way to manage payment or cancel manually or that the contact button didn’t work. They still try to swindle their way by saying “A video of your attempt” changing the their words from “technical difficulties” before. I find it very morally questionable. Trying to be polite with this.

Edit: Reply what's the point of enaging and replying from the Nordastro team if both a reply here an the contact email does nothing and just repeat what we wrote and say no they will not look into the situation after 6 emails all day...

Unauthorised charges

WARNING: Unauthorised charges and predatory subscription traps!

​I am writing this to warn others about Nordastro's deceptive business practices. I purchased a personalized book and made sure to UNCHECK all boxes regarding future subscriptions. Despite this, they have charged my card twice without my authorization: £73.49 and £24.59.
​When I reached out to their customer support to resolve this, they demanded "proof" that I didn't sign up for a subscription—an impossible and absurd request for a consumer. To make matters worse, they have now blocked my email address, and my replies are failing to send, meaning they are intentionally avoiding my refund request.
​Even more shocking, after I complained, they reactivated my account without my permission just to process another unauthorised charge of £24.59. This is not a professional service; it is a subscription trap designed to drain your bank account.
​I have already reported this company to Action Fraud UK and initiated a chargeback with Lloyds Bank. Avoid this company at all costs unless you want to spend weeks fighting for your money back.
