This experience was great. I can feel at ease that my car won't be stolen and damaged or stripped some where here in DTLA. This gives me peace of mind when ever I leave my car and return, I know it will be there in one piece.

Installer was not professional
Scheduling and communication were outstanding. Product seems ok. Installer was a big disappointment. Refused to place plug anywhere other than below the dash right by the parking brake, Which is obviously the easiest installation location. Even though the website shows many other possible locations. When I explained that it was my teenage daughter's car and I wanted it in a more visible spot so she didn't forget to remove it, he responded that "maybe it was time for her to learn some responsibility". Then said that it was that location or he would just leave and I could just pay the $100 service fee. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I have 12 other vehicles that I was considering installing the Ravelco on but I will be looking at other options if this is the service I can expect.

Very Sorry to hear that Gary. While our website shows various options for placement, the mounting locations are dependent on various factors and NOT determined by ease of installation.
First are the vehicle manufacturer's: what's behind the mounting location. Airbags, electronics, wiring harnesses and structures all have an impact on where we can mount the base unit. Clearly we can't drill through any of those. We also look at where we need to get through the firewall.
Second are product related: the mounting location can't be too far from where we go through the firewall. Some things we have to factor in: heat from the motor, moving parts under the dash, etc.
Last are 'livability' issues. If it's mounted on the right of the driver, or in the center console, at some point, you can have a passenger pull it out when driving. That would shut the motor off, and no one wants that. And secondly, we don't want to mount it in a way that would impair service to the vehicle. Sometimes mounting it high in the dash, or in a console, would mean completely removing the Ravelco to do warranty work or repair a light or gauge that goes out.
So, for those reasons, we can't aways mount the unit where our customers wish us to mount it. There are many factors involved with deciding where the Ravelco is mounted, that are absolutely not related to ease of installation. On some vehicles there are very challenging mounts, but they are workable, because they don't interfere with what's noted above.
Regardless of all that, my apologies for how the installer came across. It should have been handled in a better manner and we'll use your feedback to make sure it doesn't happen again. We work with a lot of fleets and drivers sometimes complain about removing the plug, and management often has harsher words that seem to have a positive impact on the use of the Ravelco. Noted that your daughter is not an employee, and it's not the installers place to make such remarks.
It won't happen again.
I hope you can look past it, use the Ravelco and have the peace of mind knowing that it is the only thing that will really prevent your truck from being stolen. If we earn your future business, please know the installer will be much more sensitive, and if it's the same one, expect an apology face to face.

What made our experience great is that your product actually works. Last night 01/20/23 someone broke out our passanger window and attempted to hotwire the vehicle 9 days after we had our Ravelco installed. They left with nothing! The responding officer could not believe that they were not able to steal the car since they respond to so many being stolen. Thank you again for an amazing product. Our 1 of 1 car is still in our possession and the criminal lost. Our installer was also very helpful and knowledgeable. Worked quickly and did very clean work.

Friendly customer service, professional installation. You call or submit order online, a customer service representative will get in touch with you to set up an appointment around your schedule. The technician in my case, J, arrived early for the installation. Explained how the product worked and took his time to make sure things were installed correctly. California.

The product is easy to use and it works. My only issue is that after detaching the fob there should be a cover for the fob, just like the one for the unit mounted to the dash.
