Not bad
Not bad. Renewal prices for some TLDs are INSANELY cheap, and I took advantage of that and snagged up a domain.
There is no live chat, and you can only get help via email. They are usually really helpful, but sometimes they take a while to reply. They will respond to any questions you have with informative responses.
NicNames is still relatively new, so they don't have all the features you would expect at other popular registrars. It would be great if NicNames could add a page where people can suggest features.
The free WHOIS privacy protection is similar to Cloudflare's, where it only exposes your state/province and country, but you can pay $1.99/year for full WHOIS protection (replaces all of your details with Privacy Protect Corp's). If you want to be economical and don't want to spend an additional $1.99 every year, you might want to move to Spaceship, as their renewal prices are also cheap and they offer free full WHOIS protection.
Overall, pretty good registrar. Not the best one out there, but definitely not the worst!
