Useless customer service and shady fine print

The insurance sounds great until you actually try to use it. The customer service is abysmal. I spent hours trying to understand their requirements for documents they didn't bother mentioning would be needed when I signed up and tracking down information that was never my responsibility to acquire in the first place.

They asked for my dogs medical records on his vet visit in such a confusing way that needed clarification. A phone number was not available and the email customer service first told me it wasn't an issue and then ignored my follow-up. It wasn't until my claim was denied that i got the phone number of the actual insurer and was told they needed those medical records. My vet however, told me that those records can only be requested by the insurer and I never should have been involved in that information request.

If hiding requirements in the fine print and giving me the runaround when I needed help are the way this business runs I have to recommend all pet owners avoid it.

I have been unable to find a phone…

I have been unable to find a phone number to contact anyone at this company. I need to speak with someone urgently, I did send an email message as per the website but no idea how long that will take to hear back. I've misplaced my card so I don't have the number on the back of the card to call and it seems impossible to find.

Good

I think this is a good card for insurance, and the rewards points on pet related expenses are a bonus. I paid for extra coverage on my pup, and made a claim about 2 months after having the card. It took a few months to get the claim approved, because I didn’t have all of her vet records together, but I just got an email they are sending me a check for the insured portion. I think it’s a good deal especially if you have a pup with no pre existing conditions.

They are slow to process claims and then don’t pay when they do

They are slow to process claims. Well over a month to process my vet claim. Closer to two. The once it was processed they only partially paid it. Stated if I wanted the illness portion paid I had to submit documentation for 18 months the prior. They asked me this BEFORE processing my claim initially. It was immediately uploaded. I went on to ask a total of three times to uploaded documentation . To which I replied I already had. I still have not received a check for reimbursement nor has the claim been paid entirely

Is this a scam?

I'm new to the services. Initially, I thought this is great -once I left the vet I got an email asking if I wanted to submit a claim. I replied with the requested info, got a canned message back of the wait time of 4-5 days. Inquired 5 days later, get no response. It's now weeks later, zero idea what's going on with my claim. Starting to feel this is a scam. I paid for a full year of pet insurance and I get no updates after the time frame they specified?

04/16 Update: after posting the review things started to process on one of my claims. I’ve been told a check is in the mail

I have submitted claims over 30 days…

I have submitted claims over 30 days ago and cannot get an update on it. According to their website, it keeps showing as pending. I've already submitted all the required documentation dating back to the time when I adopted my dog.I have no idea why it's taking so long.But what really appreciate them giving me an update and approving my claim as appropriate.

Card declined tonight

I activated my card. I tried to use it at Chewy to get the 3%. It was declined. Three times! I ended up using another card. Very disappointed.

Shouldn't need to reverify a person's information

Asked a simple question to the email team and can't get a straight answer in 1 email. They want to reverify me in less than 5 minutes of asking. Literally just gave everything minus my phone and can't answer what the minimum credit score needs to be. Don't apply if trying to rebuild credit. Would literally be the only unsecured card for me thats active.
