No need to wire it in which is a huge plus it simply clips into the side of the forward facing camera module and then yiur good to go

The Nextbase Rear-View Camera is designed with a narrower, telephoto lens, to record the view of the road directly behind your vehicle. The view recorded is similar to the image seen in your rear-view mirror. Utterly useless. The camera kept coming unplugged and stopped working. Needs a better connection method and a positive engagement like a physical latch. It would have been very good in principle, but it just did not work, so I returned it for a refund.

I was dubious this mini HDMI device when plugged into the 522 could produce images of value, but I was very wrong. After all, it's looking back through the car rather than being cabled to a location against the rear window. Leaving side the obvious flaw (the view is obstructed on the very rare occasions when there's a middle seat passenger in the rear) it's a very sensible add-on that takes away the hassle of the additional cabling. Would highly recommend.
