Highly recommend

When my partner and I looked at New Law Business Model, we weren't shopping for a marketing package. We were two lawyers running a small firm, trying to think clearly about how a practice gets built to last. What we found was a program with real depth behind it.
Ali Katz has thought carefully about what a relationship-driven law practice actually requires. The philosophy is the substance of it — the idea that lawyers do their best work when they're counseling people rather than processing them. Whether or not you adopt every piece of the model, the thinking is transformative.
The support structure is the other half of the value. The coaching is specific rather than generic, and the community of lawyers NLBM has built is hard to replicate on your own — for a small firm, being able to ask a question and get an answer from someone who's already faced it is genuinely useful.
If you're a solo or small-firm attorney rethinking how your practice relates to its clients, it's worth your time.

NLBM Came At the Exact Right Moment in My Life

I was burned out from litigation and seriously considering leaving the practice of law altogether when I came across one of Ali’s ads for New Law Business Model. Her message resonated with me, so I decided to attend one of the online seminars.

Estate planning had been in the back of my mind, but the learning curve felt overwhelming. I didn’t want to return to working for someone else at another firm, and I couldn’t imagine trying to build a new practice by piecing together CLE courses, practice guides, and forms on my own.

Finding New Law Business Model felt like the right door opening at exactly the right time.

The program gave me a clear path for learning a new area of law and building a practice around it. Instead of feeling like I had to figure everything out by myself, I had a structured system, extensive resources, and the flexibility to move through the material at my own pace.

What makes NLBM especially valuable is that I wasn't just handed a curriculum of information and left on my own. There are weekly coaching calls, experienced law mentors, knowledgeable facilitators and team members, and an active community of attorneys who genuinely want to help one another succeed. The NLBM facebook community group is awesome! There is always someone there to answer any question or concern you have, whether it be a law mentor or just another attorney at the same point in the process as you.

The combination of structure, support, and community turned something that felt overwhelming into something that not only felt possible, but felt exciting and like the sky is the limit! I've never felt this level of support in the law community elsewhere. It truly is a one-of-a-kind experience in the field of law.

I am incredibly grateful that I found NLBM when I did. It gave me a new direction at a time when I was ready to walk away from the law. It has changed the course of my career—and, in many ways, my life—by giving me a meaningful way to use my experience in service of families and others.

I highly recommend NLBM

I highly recommend NLBM. I started from scratch as an estate planning lawyer, and their program gave me the thorough education and the wealth of resources I needed to learn estate planning the right way — the PFL way. While the learning curve was sometimes overwhelming, the mentors were truly committed to my success. I would have given up after facing serious medical challenges, but my mentor, Naleah, encouraged me, supported me, and kept me moving forward. I’m genuinely grateful, and honestly shocked, because I was very skeptical at first — but NLBM exceeded every expectation.

NLBM Experience

From the moment I joined New Law Business Model, I was provided with resources, program advisor who is the BEST, variety of coaching calls, connection with other attorneys, and countless support. This made my experience super awesome. If you have your doubts to join NLBM, I will tell you that if you are serious about changing your work, or to add a new practice area, or if you need assistance with client attraction, or anything else, NLBM is for you.

MLM scheme that falsely advertises info webinars

Updating to reply to response below: your characterization of how the webinar went is simply inaccurate. I was excited to join the webinar to learn and was ready with pad and pen to take notes. After 45 mins of your “coach” and moderator simply beating a dead horse about work-life balance and how terrible litigation is, I and MANY others began asking in the chat if there was going to be any substantive learning in the webinar. I personally asked my questions in a respectful manner, and I observed others doing the same. After getting no reasonable response from you or anyone else, we began to question whether the webinar was actually a sales pitch rather than an informational. Which it absolutely was. I then observed you and a few others begin to taunt and make fun of those of us who were questioning the sessions content, instead of answering us in good faith, which was highly unprofessional. I was then immediately removed instead of reassured that in just a few moments, as you claim, you began to provide “actual training.” I wouldn’t be able to confirm whether or not any “actual training” was provided because I was rudely removed from something that I was not even disrupting. The fact that I stuck it out in the session for a full 45 mins before I began to question the content, and my respectful inquiry about what the goal of the webinar was is proof that I was attempting to participate in good faith. Frame it however you want, the webinar was a joke and your filtering out of those who genuinely wanted to learn was unprofessional, rude, and disheartening.

I received targeted advertising by this company to attend a webinar that promised to provide "exactly" how to make the switch to estate planning in my career, and that I would hear from a lawyer who had done this already and that she would tell us "EXACTLY" what she did. Instead, the webinar was an hour-long sales pitch for NLBM and provided NO substantive information. Attendees were encouraged to use the group chat to pose questions for the host, so I asked them if information was going to be provided. As soon as I, and many others, began to point out that it was merely a sales pitch, we were forcefully removed from the webinar.

Odpowiedź od New Law Business Model

Hi CM,

Ali Katz here.

First, we want to address your claim that NewLaw is an MLM. That is simply not accurate. We do not earn a percentage of our members' revenue, and there is no multi-level compensation structure of any kind.

Everyone who joins us is a licensed lawyer with an independent practice they are building into their own business. We exist to train lawyers on our Life & Legacy Planning model that guides estate planning attorneys to build thriving, values-based law firms through our business training, systems, technology implementation and coaching support. Once a lawyer is trained on our model and implementing it, they are then able to become part of our Personal Family Lawyer (PFL) community, which is made up of heart-centered lawyers who truly care for their clients.

Second, regarding the webinar itself, it sounds like it did not align with what you were hoping to receive. The purpose of these events is to help attorneys evaluate whether transitioning into estate planning and joining our community is right for them, and whether the attorney is a right fit for us. We do this by sharing both educational content and real-world stories from attorneys who have successfully made that transition.

Your statement that the webinar provided "NO substantive information" is inconsistent with the format of the training. The first 30 minutes featured one of our coaches and one of our members discussing the member’s path to making the switch from litigation to estate planning and what that process was like for her. During the final 40 minutes of the webinar I personally conducted a detailed walkthrough of our curriculum, systems, implementation process, and the specific steps attorneys take to build a successful estate planning practice using our model.

It sounds like you may have been removed from the webinar prior to my walkthrough. My team is authorized to remove anyone who does not appear to be attending with a good faith desire to learn.

If you were removed, it should not have been due to you asking a simple question. I was answering questions in the chat myself, and welcomed questions around whether I would be speaking to pricing and exactly how we support lawyers to make the transition. I did observe certain attendees who did not appear to be asking questions in good faith, but who seemed to be overtly and intentionally disruptive and combative.

If your questions were truly posed in good faith and you were removed, I apologize for the overzealous protection by my team. We are always open to constructive feedback as continuous improvement is one of our company core values, and we consistently refine our trainings based on what we learn. If you were wrongly removed, please feel free to message me directly at support@newlawbusinessmodel.com, and I would be happy to share the rest of the training.

And anyone reading this may also email us directly to watch the webinar on how to switch to estate planning, and we would be happy to send it over.

Either way, we wish you the best as you continue exploring the next chapter of your legal career.

Ali & the NewLaw Team

Update to respond to updated review:
I would never taunt or make fun of anyone on one of my webinars. That’s not my style. And I'm truly sorry that is the impression you were left with, especially if you were coming in good faith to learn how to love being a lawyer again. I'd be happy to send the recording to anyone who would like to listen for themselves, just message me directly at support@newlawbusinessmodel.com.

Beyond a mentorship program- A professional Family.

New Law Business Model has been an invaluable resource in helping me build and grow my estate planning practice. The program provides not only exceptional training on how to practice estate planning, but also practical guidance on how to successfully run and grow a law firm. The monthly business coaching sessions offer accountability, insight, and personalized feedback to help attorneys evaluate and improve their practices.

What I appreciate most about New Law, however, is the people. They don't treat attorneys as clients, they treat them like family. Their team genuinely cares about your success and WELL-BEING, and they are incredibly supportive no matter what challenges you may be facing. You never feel like just another member or revenue source; they truly want to see you thrive both professionally and personally. Combined with the collaborative community, attorney support network, and readily available mentorship, New Law creates an environment where attorneys feel empowered, supported, and set up for long-term success.

Hi Seun,

Thank you for such a heartfelt review. It means a lot to hear that you've experienced NewLaw as more than a mentorship program.

One of our core beliefs is that building a successful law practice shouldn't come at the expense of your well-being. That's why we focus not just on training and business strategy, but on creating a community where attorneys genuinely support one another through the challenges and celebrate the wins together.

For anyone reading, this is what we hope every member experiences: practical systems, ongoing coaching, and a community that cares about you as a whole person—not just your business. When attorneys stay engaged with the coaching, community, and implementation, that's where we consistently see the biggest transformations.

We're so grateful that you're part of the NewLaw family.

Thank you, Kimberly! We love hearing this.

Helping attorneys build practices they truly own—and lives they genuinely enjoy—is exactly why NewLaw exists. It's wonderful to hear that the coaching and guidance have helped you turn your entrepreneurial vision into reality.

For anyone reading, this is what NewLaw is all about: giving attorneys the training, support, and community to build a practice that's both successful and aligned with the life they want to create.

We're so grateful you've been part of the community since 2021 and can't wait to see what you build next.

Personal Family Lawyer--Relationship-Based Law

I joined the Personal Family Lawyer program within New Law Business Model during a transition in my career when I was looking to build a more relationship-centered estate planning practice. What I appreciated most was that the program encouraged attorneys to think beyond just drafting documents and toward building a practice grounded in education, long-term client relationships, and meaningful service.

The training helped me develop systems, workflows, and a clearer client experience, and it pushed me to think more intentionally about how I communicate value to families. I also found the community of attorneys genuinely supportive and generous with ideas and encouragement.

Like any business-building program, implementation takes work and there is a significant investment involved, but overall I’m grateful for the experience and for the perspective it gave me on creating a more human-centered law practice.

NLBM - transition to a no conflict law practice

NLBM has provided me the training, the resources, the community, the encouragement, and the confidence to transition my law practice from a high conflict litigation practice into an estate planning practice where there is virtually no conflict. I now feel like I am truly delivering a heart centered service to families and this has given me the ability to be the trusted advisor that people need and want. Within 90 days, I had huge results and was engaging paying clients. The program has literally been paying for itself. My only regret is that I had not discovered NLBM sooner!

I joined New Law Business Model in 2020…

I joined New Law Business Model in 2020 when I transitioned from a 25-year career as a personal injury attorney into estate planning. That's a significant pivot — not just legally, but in terms of how you run a practice and think about your role as a business owner. NLBM gave me the structure I didn't know I needed.
The core membership offers real substance: a framework for building an estate planning practice that is client-centered and sustainable, monthly business coaching check-ins, and access to a genuinely warm and engaged community of attorneys who are navigating the same path. The Facebook group is active and supportive, and the live educational events throughout the year are worth attending — both for the content and for the connections you make.
What I appreciated most was NLBM's philosophy of a heart-centered law practice — one that doesn't consume your entire life. That resonated with me, and I believe their systems and guidance genuinely reflect that value.
Like anything, results require real effort on your part. But if you're an attorney considering estate planning and you want a proven framework, community, and coaching to help you build something meaningful, NLBM is worth a serious look.

A Godsend when I needed it the most!

NLBM fell into my lap at a time I needed it the most, and didn't really even know yet to what extent at the time. Prior to getting started, I was initially worried about whether the promises of the program were too good to be true and worth the investment, but NLBM has delivered above and beyond every step of the way. I cannot say enough good things about the support and resources they provide to their members, particularly where they are new to estate planning and running a business. While the initial process of being certified as a PFL and passing the assessment feels a bit overwhelming at times, it is definitely doable. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is how things are bifurcated between pre and post assessment. I understand how they want people to be focused on passing the assessment and doing plans the PFL way, but its difficult to get the full picture and start setting up your business and get the tools you need lined up when you aren't given access to all the information. I also feel like most business coaches are remote and in different time zones that don't cater well to west-coast participants which can mean finding time on the calendar that actually doesn't interfere with your time blocked calendar difficult.

against all odds - followed the plan -- and it WORKED FOR ME

I have been participating as a certified PFL for more than a year now while struggling with family situations and other stuff preventing me from succeeding. but - last week -From my pilates class I met a woman (Tia) who is a tax preparer and financial (series 7) adviser –
We got to chatting and she told me about her clients who actually own property in Hawaii – and have an offshore trust into which they conveyed the property to protect it from liability – but Tia is preparing the IRS return forms and asking questions – so she brought her clients to meet with me –
On Monday
Yes, they have an offshore trust and several LLCs “in the trust” and land “in the trust” for which they paid some internet lawyer group $40 thousand dollars
they Showed me everything –
There is an offshore trust
And in this offshore trust – there is $ 1 dollar

So they have hired me to renovate and fix all of this – and are happy to work with me on my flat fee agreements – offered – WITH CONFIDENCE, Maia – and they did not bat an eye.

So, I am learning a lot about owning and protecting real property in Hawaii – client’s grandparents and before -- owned the property before Hawaii became a state!

And, Today - Maia – I told you I undercharged these clients who came in today to have me review their wills –
And they have hired me flat fee for $3500 to fix their paperwork so it works
And
They are hiring me to prepare an LAPT for $5K – again, offered WITH CONFIDENCE

So thank you both and Ali and all the educators – I think this is starting to “work for me” -- a good day. And a good week IMPROVEMENT

Thank you!
Amy

This is such a great example of what can happen when you stay in the work—even when life is throwing a lot at you.

You followed the plan, stayed engaged, and then when the opportunity showed up… you were ready. That’s the difference.

And the confidence in your pricing really stands out. Moving into $3.5K and $5K flat fees without hesitation—and having clients say yes without blinking—is exactly the kind of shift we see when things start to click.

We're really glad to see this momentum building for you—this didn’t happen “against all odds” by accident. It came from continued participation, learning, and actually using the model in real conversations.

And that is how it starts. Congrats!

Built for Lawyers Who Want to Stand Out

New Law Business Model provides clarity, structure, and steady support that keeps lawyers from feeling lost or overwhelmed. The program is built with care, integrity, and a deep commitment to client‑centered practice.
Complex legal concepts are broken down into clear, digestible modules, making estate planning accessible even without prior experience. Yaasha Sabba is an exceptional instructor who explains sophisticated legal matters with precision and practicality. David Rowan’s consistent encouragement and coaching are invaluable, and Ali’s leadership is evident in her constant focus on improving the program and providing better tools to make both law practice and business more manageable.
I am deeply grateful for this program and would highly recommend it. By teaching lawyers how to truly set themselves apart, NLBM creates real job security and positions practitioners for long‑term success despite increasing competition.
