I believe National Storage provided us…
I believe National Storage provided us with the best service. Erin went out of her way to assist us at all times. She showed excellent customer service, was always friendly, helpful and considerate. She is an asset to the company as a frontline person. She reflected the ethos of National Storage. The units were so clean and easily accessible. I will recommend NS to all my friends.
National Storage at Newmarket - high quality
We found National Storage at Newmarket, Brisbane to be a high quality storage and service. Very clean, tidy, accessible, highly secure, ideally located. Staff very friendly and assisted with all the issues we had to sort through. Started with one 4x3 unit, then added a 3x3 unit then, changed to just a 3x3 unit. No hassles.
Extortionists
As in many other reviews here these guys are basically extortionists. The initial rate seems reasonable, but then the rate increases keep pouring in.
Absolutely abysmal behaviour - especially when we are all suffering under Covid and these guys' revenue is unaffected!
This is not as NZ company - it's Australian - so they don't give a toss.
Don't get trapped - store your stuff somewhere else.

No problem booking a large unit of 21…
No problem booking a large unit of 21 square metres, we found that $303 for the first month was reasonable remembering that was at half price.
The second month was at $552, we moved all of our stuff out in the first week of the second month and gave the obligatory 7 days notice.
There was no refund at all, a rather disappointing outcome all round considering a bigger unit was advertised on their website at $100 less, and was for 30 square metres.
You live and learn and it’s not going to happen again with National storage.
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever, my unit is paid up but couldn't get access during the long weekend, the last time I had access there was a big National storage van blocking the exit so I had to reverse a distance thank God I didn't have the trailer, sort yourself out prices have also increased, I certainly won't be recommending this business to anyone & in fact will tell people to steer clear

National Storage Rotorua Central, formerly Lake Storage....Customers need to be aware that if you make any payment in error, you will not be refunded. This is their "company policy". Arrogant bunch and serious lack of professionalism have led me to write this review. In future, when a customer do contact you, and you transfer the customer to a National storage spokes person or customer agent, please make sure that the customer can not listen to the conversation in the background. Pathetic to say the least. Customers be aware......these guys are just in it for the money.....no customer service to speak off and not very helpful either.
Unprofessional, Unethical- Harassment Crowd
I have been in business since 1998 and since that time I have not found most unprofessional and unethical company ever.The staff working in this organisation is ''hand picked' by arrogance, incompetence and poor customer service parameters. My goods are stored in Seaford since 09/2016 and I was very happy with the crowd running that business but since National Storage acquired previous business it become nightmare. I was stranded overseas for 18 months and had a limited access to phone and email but the harassment I endured all this time is unbelievable. The payment trough their internet site never worked, there was no option to transfer funds into their account. The only payment option is to phone the branch and provide card details over the phone.
Then there is late payment fee?? I do not even have contract with this organisation or agreed on any contractural terms. In May 2021 apparently they increased they storage fee but no notification ever was sent until I asked the staff working there what is the extra fee for?? Guess what? I missed to pay full amount of increased rent fee and there is late payment fee of $22.00. I would never consider this business to put my goods there ever!!!
UPDATE:
Reading here so many bad experience with National Storage and in particular the card payment method they enforcing to take so they can rip you off for extra money I suggest we should lodge class action against this ''mafia'' style business practice for unauthorised card transactions under criminal law provisions.

Rented a National Storage Unit in…
Rented a National Storage Unit in Butler. Had the worst and stressful experience ever. Rent for two months got broken into two days before moving out. Staff unhelp informed us by text message. Had their insurance, was not worth the paper it was written on. No reimbursement has been given. Don't put your items in this place. They advertise a secured and safe place but honestly if you left in your own back garden it would be safer. Make sure you get all paperwork from them they have a habit of not giving you anything.

19.4% price increase within 6mths & don't do pro-rata refunds
Had 3x4 storage unit at Oxley Qld. Within 6 months price increased from $237 to $283 (19.4% increase). When moved out was told they didn't do pro-rata refunds - so ended up paying $283 for 4 days of storage. Not customer friendly policies.

Great Service
My husband and I came into the Rowville centre to drop off some items into our storage unit. Sheridan helped us with the lift and even assisted us with our belongings even though she was busy cleaning. She was so helpful and had such great service. The centre was very clean and the team had a great attitude. Keep it up.

Scammers
If I were you rent with someone else. The price started off okay but then I recieved an email about 3 or 4 months later saying that my rent was being increased. After only 4 months. I am trying to purchase a home but the market is very moment. The increase is $58!!! It may not sound too much to a multi million dollar company but to me that is quite a lot. When quizzed about this they simply said that it was too do with high occupancy in my unit size. Why does other people's units have anything to do with mine? I was forced into taking insurance on my goods although I have my own and they asked me for proof of this which I didn't want to give them a copy of as its my personal information. They never mention anything about increases when signing you up because if they did they would lose you there and then. Trust me, head to Storage King. Their rates are cheaper and they promised me a 12 month fixed price with no additional insurance cost that isn't wanted.
Money hungry pigs
Where to start. They move you in with an pretty high rate for a metal space and offer you a 25% off your first month deal. After three months they then email to say that they value your business and are increasing your rental by around 20% which can amount to a high rate jump of around $60!!! They say that they can do this due to being so high in capacity and that if you vacate they will just have another customer come in that will pay the new higher price. It also MUST come with insurance although other companies such as Storage King don't push this on you if not wanted. They say that it is due to improvements in the centre that this needs to happen but nothing is ever repaired it just seems to be patched up. They also will increase again around 6-9 months later again due to capacity and this doesn't ever stop even if you are a long time customer. They tell you that there is security and alarms but there is only on selected units and you could open up most centre units without any security problems. If you want to just rent a storage unit and that is it just head to Storage King or Fort Knox or one of the others who don't charge you excess fees or hidden fees as there is no difference between any of the storage companies that would make one storage space better than another. Oh and they charge you $22 administration just to sign up and say that it covers cleaning and other things which it really doesn't.
I stored a motorhome at National…
I stored a motorhome at National Storage, Taita Wellington New Zealand. The experience would have to be the worst business experience I have had in at least 20 years. The woman in the office was repeatedly rude and aggressive. Today, she decided to be combative, disrespectful, bullying and threatening me. When I asserted myself overe her unacceptqable behaviour, she threatened to call police on me. National Storage, sack this staff member. She is very bad for business. I think thawt she is the franchise owner. DO NOT USE or do so at your own peril.
Extremely poor service for head office
After renting a storage unit and paying month by month. I paid my monthly fees as I always did and within 24hr of paying I get an email advising me the storage fees are going to be increased by $80+ per month.
I email the local office advising them I will be exiting the unit with a set date.
I exit the unit leaving it clean as per the contract. I then email the local office requesting my refund for un used rent to be told they only refund full months rent and to contact the head office, I then get an email from head office with a link to complete for my refund. 14 days later no response apart from an email saying the claim is still in process. 25days later I call and speak to a male who advised me he will pass on my concerns and some one will contact me.
3 days after that I still haven't head from them. Case in now with OFT
I will never use there service again.
The only positive side of it is the people at the storage units had been fantastic unfortunately it is not up to them to complete the refund.
Amazing customer service
I have had the best experience at National Storage at Perth Airport location. From day one Joeanne has gone above and beyond. My first storage shed was so easy to move in Joanne gave me a site tour showed me sizes available. Once i selected the one i want Joanne showed me the easiest way to access it. Told me about products i could purchase. Then i needed to upsize my storage shed Joanne made this happen so easy when i arrived had a few storage sheds for me to look at. My credit on the other storage shed just rolled over all was so easy. The customer service provided by Joanne is by far above and beyond what you would expect. National Storage is lucky to have such an amazing person on their team. I hope they realizes what they have. This has made my experience amazing trouble free all because of that one team member Joanne. I did ring another site and found service poor. Gave them one more go tried this site and nothing but amazing. Anyone looking fora storage shed i would contact Joanne and you won’t look back or go anywhere else.
