You cannot price a job without seeing it their instant qoute is a joke if they over estimate the price you wont get the difference back if it turns out cheaper if its under estimated you pay more if job goes well depending on contractor your okay but if it doesn't go well your in trouble so you take a chance, they dont know these contractors only from photos of jobs they supposedly did , like who are they were is their shop were is their address

The whole process of being given a…
The whole process of being given a quote to having a painter allocated was really speedy and easy. My dad is in hospital and we needed to deep clean his flat. Within days of the need arising we had been given a date and been allocated a painter. Michael Ezenwa Chidiadi did a fantastic job the flat was very smoke yellowed but us now looking crisp and clean painted white. I would happily recommend Michael for further jobs.

Reasonable price, quick turnaround, efficient job
Submitted online quote request, fairly simply but not enough type of rooms to choose from.
Prices were reasonable, but would be good to understand how the actual painter gets paid so it’s transparent vs how much goes to the company.
Aurel Croitoru was my local painter allocated, nice and efficient and did a great job overall. I don’t think our job was 100% straight forward but he wasn’t phased at all. Completed in a day and a half, good communication through out. Would recommend giving this a go due to the quick availability

UK - avoid this company
What was promised, agreed, and paid for is completely at odds with what we actually received.
We agreed on a job to paint the hallway, skim the wall over the fireplace, fill in any holes, sand and paint, and sand and paint the skirting boards. I made it clear at the start that while I wasn’t concerned about the stair carpet (as it was due to be replaced), I expected care and respect to be taken with the rest of the property.
Instead, what we were left with was appalling:
• After five days away, we returned to find a complete mess.
• Paint was everywhere — not just on the carpet (which I expected), but splashed all over our brand new kitchen surfaces.
• Paint runs had been left unfinished, tins were left open, making the remaining paint unusable.
• Furniture hadn’t been covered properly, resulting in skimming water left all over it.
• Outside, cigarette butts were stubbed out and left in the garden, and empty water bottles thrown around.
As for the quality of the work:
• The skirting boards weren’t sanded — just painted over, so the old gloss now bleeds through.
• Holes were not properly filled or sanded, leaving rough patches throughout.
• The skimmed wall over the fireplace is uneven and poorly finished, and the kitchen wall I paid extra for is just as bad — no attempt was made to sand it, meaning it’s now unsuitable for tiling.
• There’s also paint all over the window sills and seals, showing a total lack of care or attention to detail.
When I raised these issues, you sent someone new to finish the job. To his credit, he was shocked by the state of what he saw — but you only allocated him a day and a half to fix a disaster. As expected, the job remains unfinished, and we are now £1,400 out of pocket.
To make matters worse, while we were waiting for the payment code to be sorted, I received a message from the original painter demanding payment — a completely inappropriate and unprofessional approach, given the circumstances.
This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and deeply disappointing. We were left with damaged property, poor workmanship, and a massive inconvenience — not to mention the added costs we’ll now face in putting all this right.

Upon receiving your feedback, we immediately ceased cooperation with the original painter involved. While we were initially surprised — as this individual had received satisfactory reviews from over ten previous clients — the photos and details you shared made it clear that this level of workmanship and conduct is unacceptable and not something we tolerate on our platform.
We also recognize now that the follow-up visit from the second painter, although well-intentioned, was not sufficient in scope or duration to fully remedy the situation. It was our impression that the work had been corrected to a satisfactory level, especially after we were informed the job was complete and that payment would follow.
We now understand this was not the case, and we take full responsibility for this misjudgment.
Furthermore, the original painter directly contacting you for payment was entirely inappropriate. We are truly sorry for this added stress — all communication regarding the job should have gone through us. We will ensure that this does not happen again.
We would still like to make this right. If you are open to it, please contact us directly at adam@painteradam.co.uk. We can offer several solutions — whether sending another painter to properly finish the job, reviewing the cost together, or discussing alternative forms of resolution. We want to find a fair and constructive way forward. As we have not yet received your payment, this also allows us the opportunity to revisit the matter comprehensively and ensure you are not left feeling dissatisfied or short-changed. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. We deeply regret the inconvenience and frustration caused and are committed to resolving it to your satisfaction.

These people are liars and cheats.Avoid at all costs.
Received an email at 4pm on Friday cancelling the job which was supposed to start on the Monday at 9am. No help from them. They said it was too far but had accepted the details and quoted a price, start time and expected duration.

While we initially provided you with a quote, a proposed start date, and an estimated duration, we also communicated early on that your location was on the edge of our service coverage.
We made it clear that we would do our best to allocate a partner, but that it could be subject to availability due to the distance.
Throughout the process, we did our best to keep you informed and manage expectations transparently, as we do with all of our clients. Once it became apparent that we could not assign someone in your area, we followed up promptly and communicated this to you.
The cancellation of your booking was communicated following a phone conversation we had on Friday.
During that call, extremely inappropriate and offensive language was directed at a member of our team. We want to make it absolutely clear that we do not condone this kind of behavior under any circumstances.
We have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to verbal abuse or disrespect towards our staff, and we will always take the necessary steps to protect their safety and dignity.
We completely understand your disappointment regarding the cancellation so close to the proposed start date. However, given both the logistical challenges and the nature of the interaction, we made the decision that proceeding with the project would not be appropriate.
We wish you the best moving forward and hope you're able to find a suitable solution for your project.
