Booked my car for a full service and…
Booked my car for a full service and MOT through servicingstop never again they turned up to collect my car I didn’t even know which garage it was going to until they turned up, garage or servicingstop called me and tried to increase the price from £155 to over £400 for work that didn’t need doing when I said hold on I don’t want that he replied with “WHATS WITH THE ATTITUDE “ I had a garmin mini dash cam which is behind the passenger sun visor and not visible from the driver’s side the clown carrying out my service was hiding behind the lifted Bonnet puffing on a vape topped up my water from a watering can not even sure they changed the oil.
This Garage and servicingstop are rip off merchants and should be avoided at all cost.
Booked a service through ServiceStop…
Booked a service through ServiceStop who then arranged for MPS Autos to collect my car and service it. I had major issues with ServiceStop quoting highly inflated 'necessary' work, all of which was nonsense. The car came-back to me low on oil and coolant, so I had to take the car back to the garage only to be shouted at and talked-over by the garage owner, effectively telling me it was my fault for booking a cheap service. He would not take any responsibility for the low oil level saying it was a computer error, so I Googled on my phone it in front of him to show they had used 2.5l less oil than the car needed. I couldn't be bothered arguing about the coolant level, so I just did that myself. This is the worst kind of back street garage, run by someone with no understanding of customer care. The other younger guys in the garage looked embarrassed by what the owner was saying and how he was acting. I can imagine other people buckling under his intensive onslaught, but I'm far too old to be scared by that kind of behaviour. Apart from the oil-change, I have no confidence that any service was completed, especially as the low coolant level wasn't noticed. I'm only confident the oil was changed as they hadn't put enough back in, meaning the low oil indicator displayed. Due to various additional charges, it cost me £361 for what appears to be just a poorly completed oil change.I am now seeking a part refund from ServiceStop
the guys were helpful
paid £190 for Servicing Stop for my car to be serviced and MOTd. The gentleman from MSD garages came to collect, on time, at 8 am.However he didn't have any ID to prove his identity, he gave me his card.He took the car. There was issues with extra charge that servicing stop was putting on me, the link wouldn't work and this resulted my car not being returned on the same day. It was Servicing Stops fault rather than garage. I spoke to guys in the garage, they were helpful and understanding. They helped ringing back and forward to servicing stop to inform them about the issue as Servicing stop would not respond to my emails, and they don't have a direct number to call, only garage can access them. If you call the number you were rang, it doesn't work. My car returned today at lunch time. Anyway, this garage said they have done the work. However apart from MOT paper, there is no evidence of servicing, they didn't sign the paper work etc. Also the petrol seems gone. They are not far from me so I dont understand how they emptied the tank?So I do not know what exactly has been done to my car, I am taking their words.I cant say anything about workers, they wanted to help but I would never ever use servicing stop again.I had used Servicing Stop 4 years ago and that time I didnt had any issue at all, hence booked it again. My belongings in the car returned fine, no issues
ABSOLUTE JOKE
My car was taken to MPS Autos via Servicing Stop for a service and MOT. The car failed its MOT. I was quoted £3500 for repairs. £500 was for 3 new tyres. I managed to get that cost down to £350. I took my car to a local garage who quoted £1500. I think Servicing Stop are the ones who are charging these extortionate prices. When I got my car back from MPS it was filthy. I complained and got £15 back. I had some loose change in the car. Thats gone. My car is being repaired at the moment. It had a full service including oil change. The mechanic said the filters have been changed but the oil is black!! The repairs have had to stop because the mechanic cant find the wheel locking nut! I phoned MPS Autos who said it would have been put back from where it came. I dont believe them. The guy said he would look around for it and ring me back. I won't be holding my breath. I have been waiting for an invoice for the tyres for six months. They will deny all knowledge. That will add £25 per tyre (to have the tyres forecably removed and new studs put on) to the repair bill!!

Stole parts from my car and overcharged me for unnecessary work
Failed MOT overpriced and unnecessary work quoted
Took my car for it's MOT, it failed. I was quoted a load of work for around £1000.
Initially I said yes over the phone, then 7 minutes later (I checked my call log) I called and said stop the work because of the terrible review I read and my Dad who said they were overcharging me.
The owner Mehdi then said I will look around for cheaper price and that they had already removed the cars suspension and that it will cost me for labour charges.
Which is literally not possible.
I rang not long after and said don't look for a better price, I will come pick up my car.
I went to pick up my car and they asked for £132.72 for the failed MOT and the 7 minutes of 'work' they did.
They said if I hadn't initially said yes they would have charged me £45 for MOT, and this was my mistake.
I believe my being a young woman that didn't know anything about cars was a factor because even when I challenged them on their removing the suspension, after asking around and googling (and showing them the results that it would usually take a couple hours) they just said I'd be surprised what could get done with two mechanics and power tools (Which Halford's confirmed could not be used on my car to remove the suspension as there wasn't enough room).
Mehdi, the owner, spoke over me the entire time. The other guy kept saying do you understand how good of a deal he's giving you on this.
I'm not sure what 'this' was referring to when I was already paying for the MOT and they couldn't have done anything to the car in 7 minutes.
The next day they reduced it to £100 after negotiating (and them putting my car back together in 8 minutes apparently).
I took my car to Halford's down the road. They quoted £800. But then rang back and said that the brake pipe which was one of the things that failed, didn't need doing. They said they had 4 MOT testers looked at it and they all agreed it was immaculate.
So that was £100 off the bill. £700 for the work in total.
I redid the MOT with Halford's since MPS would probably fail me for not having my brake pipe unnecessarily replaced, which cost me another £50.
So all in all £100 down at MPS, which could have been worse if I hadn't told them to stop.
Anyways, don't use this place.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. I booked my MOT through the AA and they recommended this garage to be trusted. Which is quite unbelievable. I told them my car door wouldn’t open from the inside so would need fixing but asked them to call me. They called me once they had started to fix the door and said it would be £220 when the part costs £20 and I know this because I have had it replaced previously, I told them not to fix it. They then said I had another major fail which when having had a second opinion was not. They told me I needed new brake pads on the front to pass my MOT also but when I got there it was just an advisory. For the new brake pads, 2 new lights and to fix my door they tried to charge me £550 and they failed my MOT. I went to another garage on the same day who charged me £150 for the work and another MOT. The garage also told me they looked at my breaks and did not need doing and he could see the mechanics had already started taking bolts off my breaks and they were not secure! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Irresponsible Service
I made an appointment through BookMyCar for carrying out MOT test & a full service test at MPS Autos workshop. After the tests were completed, I asked MPS Auto for acquisition of the full service report, but they answered me that I needed to make the request through BookMyCar. After contacting BookMyCar, they committed to me that MPS Autos would send the report via my email shortly. Unfortunately, I still haven’t yet received any response from MPS Autos. After this unpleasant experience, I will no longer book any service through this website in future. I also would not recommend hiring this garage.
Tried to rip me off
Tried to rip me off. This place needs closing down! Run by a bunch of clowns!
Awful AVIOD
Awful. Do not use. Booked my car in for a service and MOT months ago. Took it in and the staff didn’t seem to know anything about it or bothered. Then after leaving my car got a call saying your car is ready but I’ve only done the MOT because I want to go home so can you come ASAP so I can shut the garage. When I went in he said “you can just bring it back again Monday” like I have time to just work around his schedule and don’t have a job of my own. No apology from them. Awful run business, awful service, awful staff and attitude.

I had the worse experience was quoted a price of £48 for an MOT and the price was £56.50 unless I paid in cash ! Then the MOT took an hour while I waited and the man said he would honour the original price . I thought that was great and got home . Found out he stole two pairs of sunglasses from the glove compartments . Extremely unprofessional thieves !! Do not use ever
DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE
DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE. Awarding one star is being generous. My car was towed to this garage by the AA just before Christmas. The AA had diagnosed that the car needed a new hydraulic clutch pipe. After chasing them repeatedly for an update the following day, it transpired that MPS were unable to obtain the necessary part for 10-14 days. They were reluctant to order the part as they had incorrectly assumed that they needed authorisation from the AA to go ahead with the job. I did explain that, assuming they could do the repairs within a reasonable timescale and I was happy with the price, I would be paying them directly. Having made no progress with MPS, I contacted another local garage who were able to carry out the repairs within a couple of days. They turned up at MPS to recover my car, only to be told that a £120 bill for a “diagnostic assessment” needed to be paid before my keys could be returned. This was never agreed and considering MPS remained under the impression that the AA still needed to authorise the job, why carry out work on the car in these circumstances? Why would a diagnostic assessment need to be carried out when the AA recovery team had already identified and communicated the repairs needed? Why would they neglect to contact the customer before allegedly carrying out a chargeable assessment? I decided to take my business elsewhere, as was my right as a customer. MPS never gave me a price for the required repairs and quoted a timescale which left me with no option but to look elsewhere. I do not believe that any diagnostic assessment ever took place. I would never have agreed to it anyway. This garage charged £120 for nothing more than the privilege of returning my car keys. To say I feel robbed by these people is an understatement.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. If I could give zero stars I would. I am utterly perplexed as to how this garage is approved by AA. The AA recommended I take my car here claiming it was a "specialist garage" after a call out due to the Engine warning light and oil pressure light came on. The garage quoted me £1700 for various bits of work. Upon refusing the work, they offered to do just some of the work which would allow my car to run adequately for cheaper. However, I still declined. One of the employees showed clear signs of anger and proceeded to start my engine to move the car, despite previously warning me that driving it would cause engine damage. Another employee who I was talking too was polite. After I requested for the second time that my engine be turned off, he also asked his colleague to turn it off. He then assisted my dad to push the car out of the garage (for which I am grateful and award them one star).
I had it towed and looked at it by my usual garage who confirmed that none of the quoted work was necessary. It has cost me £229 to fix. Scammers.
I am curious about the "Boat engine" that I was quoted for. Even Google has no information on it.

Recently removed from RAC Approved Garage Network, they are so Bad!!! Car broke down again the day after it was fixed. Wouldn’t give invoice as work was ‘VAT Free’ and couldn’t tell 2nd RAC man what work they had done on the car the day before! Wouldn’t engage with myself or the RAC’s own resolution process. AVOID!!!
"Worst fellow in the world" award goes…
"Worst fellow in the world" award goes to the person in charge of this garrage. He is just ripping off the customers. Just to change the diagnostics he charges 120, and for just replacing the sensor he has charged 360.
In total a 450 pounds was charged just for doing nothing.
AVOID THIS GARAGE
AVOID THIS GARAGE.
Initially they refused to give me anything other than a verbal quote, when I asked for information in writing they got frustrated and told me my partner should call them.
MPS Autos quoted me £596.70 for diagnostic work through AA smart care and a second quote for £2,211.31. After I declined the work I received texts telling me to pick up my car.
When I arrived at the garage they had a torrent of reasons why the car could not be scrapped, “It’s not moveable, it’s not moveable” “You asked me to strip the engine, it’s not moveable”.
Considering the car was a non-starter when it arrived at the garage, this didn't make sense.
When I rang the AA, they told me the garage said they needed to put the tyres back on the car and there would be a charge before it could be towed. I rang the AA back to let them know that the car I’d just collected my belongings from had ALL FOUR WHEELS ON IT. I told the AA call handler that I suspected the garage were lying to them.
NEVER USE THIS GARAGE
NEVER USE THIS GARAGE! My car broke down and the AA towed my car to this garage. It took 3 days to get an update on my vehicle which was a fee of £470 just to look at the engine, they couldn't tell me what was wrong and said the cost to fix my car was likely £1200-£1500 which is insanely expensive compared to other garages for the same issue. They then demanded me to move the car as I wasn't happy to pay to get it fixed, I then organised for my vehicle to get scrapped and when the scrapyard driver arrived, MPS auto refused to give me the keys which was absolutely ridiculous unless I paid £180 for storage fees, which was never mentioned when my car got towed to the garage. I refused to pay and they told the scrapyard driver to leave, which wasted his time and left myself out of pocket. They then forced me to sell them my vehicle as I was unable to move my vehicle or get it scrapped without my keys. All of the staff were extremely rude, if you ever breakdown NEVER come to this garage. Also only wanted to use CASH and no bank transfer which is extremely dodgy.
Thieves
AA took me to MPS Autos in Stretford as my electrics had gone out.
They diagnosed a problem with the heater matrix pipe. They charged £490 LABOUR to allegedly fix it & that it would cost a further £100 to fix the control unit.
Came back 2 days later to collect my car
Three £1 coins that I use for my shopping trolley was gone & my passenger footwell soaking wet.
I've just stripped my car down which took just 15 minutes. Here's what I find:
Two 0 rings changed at the ends of matrix pipe, all of my clips have been broken and a plastic bag put around the control unit to stop it getting wet again.
A plastic bag?!?
Is this an AA Approved garage??
For £603 they have stolen from my centre console, dried out my control unit & changed 2 0 rings.
They also try to get you to pay in cash claiming it will save you hundreds whilst leaving you with no receipt as evidence.
I've just rung up to complain & they put the phone down on me.
I won't be accepting this & AA are also responsible as they left my car there in the first place
