Submission to Offer in 9 minutes..
It's quite impressive when we get an offer for a client within 2-3 days normally.. Generally there's some back and forth with underwriters for additional requirements or clarification of evidence. You can imagine our surprise when we had barely finished writing up our notes after submission when we get notification of the offer being issued... it took 9 minutes to be issued after submission! Amazing service, logical application process and an unbelievable turn around time. We will certainly be recommending MPowered to our clients again!

Application to offer in 11 minutes apparently is possible!
Placed a case for a first time buyer yesterday with MPowered Mortgages and received the mortgage offer within 11 minutes… Clients were very happy to receive their offer so quickly. I’ve used MPowered some time ago and have to say that the developments they’ve made since my last case with them are brilliant, their platform is very slick. Such amazing progress! I now won’t hesitate to place another case with MPowered Mortgages and recommend other brokers give them a try too

Great communications

Poor underwriting
Poor underwriting. Every case there are endless questions and requirements even some coming as late as after the valuation being done. Really bad experience for me and the customers.

No free legal fees on re-mortgages
I submitted a re-mortgage with Mpowered as their product was coming up with the lowest interest rates for my clients. This came up on my sourcing system with the criteria of including 'free legal services'. The product actually didn't have free legal services and was instead a Legal Assist product. On their system, it says the usual legal costs of a re-mortgage are £170 and MPowered will provide £180 towards legal costs. My client's simple re-mortgage with no extra costs ended up costing £347.90. If you want free legal fees for your clients, don't use MPowered for re-mortgages!

LEARNING THE PROCESS
This was my first application with MPowered and in the main it was a good experience and hope to do more business with you in the future. It would have been most helpful to me, and for any future newbies to your automated system, if you could have advised and outlined the process i.e. at offer stage as to what the client needed to do in regard to the client portal etc. as I was totally unaware of the email you send for them to link into their portal in order for the offer pack to be sent to the sols - this was most confusing when if I had been forewarned I oculd have helped my clients and prepared them for what they needed to do.

What a complete waste of time
What a complete waste of time, only lender I have ever seen use "legal assist" instead of free legals with the chosen solicitors Hennah Haywood charging the most they can for any little work they are required to do. Needless to say the client wasn't interested in paying fees for a service that is free elsewhere so the client decided not to proceed after the offer was issued. I won't be using them again and they will only be around a short time dealing with clients like this.

2 issues that would have taken forever with other lenders resolved quickly
We had a slight hick-up with the client's credit file ( due to internal IT issues) but the BDM answered his phone, escalated the issue, and told me clearly what I needed to do. At valuation, the property was valued at NIL, the underwriter called me and followed up with an email. When I called her back she also answered, once again told me what I needed to do, the property value went from NIL back to £1,000,000

Not a 'streamlined' process
This was not the 'streamlined' process that was sold to me when I spoke to the BDM. I had to answer the same underwriter question several times. The system is clunky and not user friendly. The document upload facility is not fit for purpose. This was a simple purchase case at low LTV that took far too long to offer and I will not be rushing to use Mpowered again.

PORTED MORTGAGE - shocking experience
Mpowered's process for existing customers moving home is shocking. No upfront information online, manual process, blended interest rate. No information is available until they hard search the mortgage application and then afterwards they provide a "blended rate" try to add hidden fees. Terrible system, terrible service.
