Requested overpayments twice
Requested overpayments twice, both occasions they were actioned incorrectly. Also had a letter to state my payments were returning to the original payment, only for them to take the overpayment which left me short as I was expecting the payment from the letter.
No application or portal to view docs, make changes etc. Self service would probably be easier at least if I make a mistake that is on me. When calling to complain agent kind of washed over the issues.
Really bad customer experience and journey and highly unlikely I will stay at renewal even if rates are lower.

Application got stuck at submission…
Application got stuck at submission stage and IT had to sort it out, they asked me if I was ok for them to submit it, I said yes … 3 days later they hadn’t but the bug was fixed and no on told me. Then it got stuck for 5 days at valuation stage stating a physical Val needed for 18% ltv loan … again, IT needed to go a fix. Not the greatest communication or response when messaging, calling and emailing the BDM (maybe she’s been away?)
So all in all not the greatest experience for my first case

Brilliant system and BDM, we just need free legals and good rates not cashback towards specified solicitors. If you give cashback instead let it be £200 and then we can get a solicitor that costs £200

Underwriting needs work.
Received an offer, which is good. The underwriter seemingly made up their own deposit source and started making requests around this inexplicable source. It took a inordinate amount of effort to resolve. Hopefully smoother next time as have great respect for mpowered's goals.

Awful
Awful, wish we had never considered using this company! My partner is self employed and they kept requesting more and more information which they took three weeks to do. We always gave this information within the same or next day. They then decided that they wouldn’t offer us the whole amount required for our mortgage after waiting three weeks! They have wasted precious time for our house sale!! Livid.

too long a process
It has taken a very long time to get to offer. I appreciate that you need to be satisfied that lending is responsible and that the case fits criteria/affordability/etc however there were a few different occasions where i feel the underwriting was a little needless. outstanding areas of this case had vague items to satisfy and there was lack of clarity on how to progress this case

The underwriter , Terry actually called me to discuss the case as it was more complicated than initially thought. I was pleased that she actually listened and this resulted in my client being able to borrow more than originally requested.
