We bought our daughter's first car from Duncan after seeing the ad, we couldn't ask for a better service, he showed us every detail of the car where it needed something looking at, openess and honesty with follow up calls to ask if it was ok even after 2 months!

Duncan - what a diamond! We were in the market for a new car, and after looking at a few, decided a Ford C max was the car for us. After visiting several dealers we found the car we wanted at Motors For You in Burton Joyce. We spoke to Duncan on Friday, visited Saturday struck a deal and picked the car up on Monday. Nothing was too much trouble for Duncan and he even ordered a set of mats to be delivered to home for us. After almost losing the will to live over the attitude of some dealers Duncan took the pain away and restored our faith in the car buying process - other dealers take note. We'll certainly be back if/when we're in the market for a new car. What a find, we have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone. Top Man.

Duncan is brilliant.
I needed to sell an old car and buy a new one - nothing fancy (either car). I was well stuck on what to do. A friend in Nottingham recommended Duncan to sort things out. I was sceptical: how would it work, since I'm in London?!? But work it did. Duncan did it. He sorted out what had become (for me) an intractable problem - apparently effortlessly, and with efficiency and charm.
For the new car, he helped me focus on what it was I needed/wanted (with a few well-honed questions) - then he identified some options - and found The Car. Good car, good price. He arranged for it to be delivered to me at home. Nothing was too much trouble - he made it seem easy. All part of the excellent service.
Oh - and he got my old car taken away - and sold too. (Flat battery? No problem!).
Duncan plainly knows his stuff - he's a joy to deal with - he was the answer to my problem. I recommend him without hesitation or reservation.

Saw a car for my daughter’s 18th online that was ideal I called up and spoke to Duncan who was very helpful and answered all the questions I asked regarding the car.I was in 2 minds what to do as it was 70 miles away from where I lived and I’ve travelled in the past and got lied too but he assured me it was as good as it looked & sounded so I took his word for it and payed the Deposit and arranged a day to pop over to view it & true to his word the car was as he had described if not better so I bought it and drove it away. Having recently purchased a car from Duncan At Motors For you Ltd. in Burton Joyce,I am writing this review to share my experience. This was by far one of the easiest experiences I have had after purchasing many vehicles, Duncan goes out of his way to explain everything, the car arrived in excellent condition with all the promised repairs, service etc.sorted.
The tedious task of sorting Tax ,number change etc. was also carried out by Duncan , which made the whole process so easy.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Duncan to all of my friends and family.

After I had given my specifications for the car there was a wait of about two weeks when I was contacted with a selection of 4 vehicles (plus prices). After I selected one it was brought to the firm within three days. The vehicle was checked over mechanically by a registered dealer (all in the price) after which I took it for a test drive (after being given some instructions on its basic functions) and I said I was happy with it. Only then was I asked for the money. As soon as the money had changed hands I had a new car. Simple!
I found the firm to be very friendly. At no time did I feel pressured. I reckon I've saved £1500 - £2000 on the price plus the fact that I didn't have to go to the time and trouble of phoning dealers and also travelling to them to inspect the vehicles. This is the ONLY way to buy a car! I'm very happy with my purchase.

Purchased a vehicle from Duncan at Motors For You in Nottingham in July 2020. A great buying experience, fully customer orientated, nothing was too much effort. He kept me in the loop throughout and stuck to his word. He offered further photos and information outside of the original advert when requested. Exemplary . If there were a manual to read , a training course to attend or a Quality Standard to achieve in order to become an exceptional car salesperson , then Duncan should be the case study and model. I can honestly think of nothing that could have improved my recent car buying experience . Throughout the process - from first contact , to searching for and locating a suitable car , to purchase and follow up - Duncan's expertise and professionalism shone through. Nothing was too much trouble . He listened and assisted me to clarify what I wanted - make, model , price , mileage, age , colour etc . He was attentive and friendly and his attention to detail was apparent as he searched to find a car for me. He was patient as my ideas altered slightly , and not once did I feel I was taking up too much of his time ( I am a carer for a family member with dementia ). His knowledge and experience inspired confidence and I trust that he would find the right car for me ( not for the showroom dealer's personal targets as I have experienced in the past). 'My car ' was presented to me in an immaculate condition and having had it just over 2 weeks , I am really happy .
