Motorpoint make it a very simple process to buying a car. Find the one you're looking for online, they'll move it to a more local branch and give you a viewing appointment time. You're assigned a salesperson when you arrive (We had Jon Richards) and you are free to view and test drive the car on your own and therefore under no pressure whatsoever. We was happy and Jon walked us through the next steps in a very comfortable, warm clutter free environment, using a nice big screen so we could see every step of the car sale and the extras that we purchased. It was a fantastic, simple and straightforward procedure to buy a major purchase.

I have just recently purchased a new car from Motorpoint. The car is a 74 reg and only 12 months old so you would expect to be in pretty good condition. There was a large chip in the bonnet which they did have fixed before collection and was appreciated. It was highlighted when reserving that it required cleaning and that there was an oil light on. I also noted that I liked that it came with the genuine car mats which were in the boot. I contacted Sam several times in the week leading up to pick-up, asking if the oil had been sorted and getting a 'I don't know what you mean' response. It comes up on the screen as you turn the car on, it couldn't have been more clear. On the day of pick up the car was filthy, covered in mud, scuffs, crumbs, dirtier than when I had test driven and reserved. They had physically washed half of the car with the passenger side tyres being blacked and the drivers missed, very odd. On turning on the car, the oil was still an issue, nearly empty, and the car mats had disappeared. Sam was so unbothered, but did take the car around to give it a quick clean and top up the oil. I was told the mats had been removed during valeting and they would have to investigate, implying a member of staff had stolen them. I refused to leave without written confirmation from the manager the genuine car mats would be replaced and sent to me, and today upon receiving, these appear to be the original matts and have been sent from the dealership. Why were these removed to then suddenly reappear, feels like they were trying to pull a fast one and being disingenuous. To top it off I had to valet it myself and found chocolate bar wrappers and boiled sweets down the side of the seats, it was revolting. I would say that Michael the manager was fantastic, and addressed any concerns and gave me confidence. I had gone here after my Mother had bought a car using Tom and couldn't speak highly enough of him. I met him also and he was incredibly switched on. There was another couple who had similar issues to us, turning up on the day to a car with issues unresolved and dirty. I do not understand why they are not doing a pre-collection day check to ensure the car is as it should be and ensuring customers have a great experience. All in all, feel very upset that I had such an opposite experience to that of my Mothers, and they took the shine and excitements away from buying a new car.

Tom was exceptional in dealing with us. He explained everything and was a joy to deal with. I would recommend Motorpoint to all.

This is my 3rd car from motorpoint, will not go anywhere else for a car. All cars are presented well, clean and clear of any faults, the staff ste knowledgeable and advice us good.

What a pleasant experience buying a car from motorpoint. No pressure whilst looking at cars. Plenty of time to browse. Customer service excellent. Would definitely recommend 😃

Really disappointed with my visit. The staff were more interested in their phones, and when I went up to them and asked for help - the young girl in training was more attentive than the gentleman supposed to be training her.

I had made the journey to view a specific car after I had been searching online for my perfect spec over a few weeks. After searching the forecourt, I couldn’t locate the car so asked for help. The male member of staff drove it around to me and then wandered off while I looked at the car. He was then nowhere to be seen for approx. 20 minutes.

Once I had found the salesman again, I requested a test drive. Before I was able to test drive, this member of staff proceeded to assume that due to my age, I wouldn’t be able to afford the car. His exact words were “it’s a £30k car mind, so there’s no point taking it for a test drive if you can’t afford the payments - you are only 27”. Prior to this, we hadn’t discussed anything or spoke more than a few words, so it’s extremely disappointing customer service, considering he was unaware of how I’d be paying for the vehicle. I didn’t even get to test drive the vehicle as he wanted me to provide full details on taking out finance before allowing a test drive.

Due to the service I’d received, I went elsewhere within the same city that day (to avoid my wasted trip).

Initially I was looking to part-ex my 2017 Golf R and finance the rest but as the Motorpoint sales rep assumed I couldn’t afford such a vehicle and refused to allow a test drive and took no interest in finding out my situation - I ended up purchasing a vehicle from a different dealership brand, with a slightly higher price tag but had everything I was looking for.

I’m not one to usually leave bad reviews, but I was looking to purchase 2 vehicles on the day. One for personal use, one for business use - and this experience was completely unacceptable. I did not catch the name of the member of staff, as he never introduced himself.

Sales assistant Michael Cummings was very patient and helpful with the part exchange of our vehicle and the purchasing of new one, very professional though made you feel at ease.

Only issue is that we are still awaiting the spare key that was being sent from head office to Newport and still awaiting notification from Newport

Very poor customer service waiting for a car to repaired all that happened was everyone was passing the buck. No one would give me a straight answer. Withdrawn from the deal. Would I recommend Motorpoint to someone else, NO.

Really enjoyed my visit to the showroom in Newport. Excellent service provided to me by Michael, he went the extra mile to ensure I was comfortable to drive away with a new automatic car as I had never driven one before. Thank you for the caring attitude shown.

From telephone customer service to face to face service, I was very impressed with the quality and professionalism.

I knew what kind of car i needed as i have a disability , i was not pressured at all in makeing my choice , where as iv been to other traders a felt unsettled as they were following me around, the gentlman the helped us with purchas was very proffessional and well mannerd , i needed to go back 2 wks after buying car as was not sure on tyer icon on dash and the young man on front desk (brown hair and glasses) was very helpfull in showing me what i had to do he has a fantastic manner , all in all fab experiance with motorpoint

All good car was all ready everything on time all went to plan.
