Very speedy service, bought the new Extreme Smock and used it straight away almost every day for work on the hills.

Montane repaired my 5 year old prism jacket, this was done promptly and to an excellent standard, with rear seam repaired under warranty. Great work. Thanks. 👍

Quality clothing at good prices

The zipper of my 8 year old rain jacket broke. Pat was mit contact at Monatane and send me two new zippers for free without any questions asked.
For me that is an excellent service experience for a product that is outside the warranty, but still fully functional apar from the zipper.

I wanted to replace my gloves since I bought them online and they were too tight. Although the retuning policy time has passed they accepted to change the gloves for another size, excellent customer service, I will buy more Montane in the future for sure.

Easy to navigate website and trusted sizing. Dart range of kit is perfect for trail runs, day hikes or multiday expeds.

I had three key requirements of a new jacket, it must be waterproof (I walk in Scotland), it must be breathable (I get quite warm when walking), and also, I did not want a huge hood (I never need to use a helmet). This Vortic Jacket ticked all the boxes. It is very light, though weight was not as important to me. Unlike another review I do not consider there to be a good range of colours, (I was and was tempted to dock a star for this, but it seemed a bit churlish). I like to be seen on the hills so this ruled out black and grey, leaving amber as the only option, which might blend in with heather and autumnal colours. Can a coat be very breathable and windproof? Yes, it can. To date, I have worn it three times in wet weather whilst out walking and I am very pleased with its performance. I like this coat and I have had some nice comments on the colour.

Based on my past experience, Montane products are excellent and I have always held the brand in high regard (which is reflected in the two-star rating). Unfortunately, this positive view has been undermined by a recent experience with their customer service. I raised a complaint and, despite receiving automated responses stating that a reply would be provided within two working days, I have been repeatedly ignored. This has been disappointing and misleading. The lack of meaningful customer support is poor enough that it has made me reconsider purchasing from Montane in the future.
