A quick information for everyone who's about to start working with those people, these guys use the burn and churn method, which means that they'll hire you, and whatever you do , no matter how good you're performing, they'll find a way to fire you so that they'll bring new people, and make money with the client from the recruitment fees, training fees, etc.

I spent multiple years working with ModSquad, assisting in building projects from the ground up. While I had some great experiences with my team and fellow mods, I ultimately felt that management—particularly Zuridey Sanchez—was a major issue. She often showed little concern for underlying problems or tools impacting performance. Her default response was termination, even for valuable team members. I saw long-standing managers let go under her leadership despite their dedication. In my opinion, the company should seriously consider the negative impact her management style has on project success.

Throughout my time on the project, Zuridey Sanchez presented herself as professional, but her actions said otherwise. She would ensure meetings weren’t being recorded and then start venting—sometimes about the client or the project—right in front of other managers and myself. Despite being new to the project and showing little understanding of its intricacies, she would still terminate those who had years of experience. What kind of leadership is that? I witnessed knowledgeable people dismissed while she lacked any foundational understanding of the project. This isn’t leadership; it’s detrimental to the team and the work. I was relieved when they terminated me, doing all the work, 0 recognition, unprofessional environment.

My experience with ModSquad’s hiring process was extremely frustrating and disappointing.

I applied for their projects for a long time and eventually got invited to interviews. I live in a small town where the internet connection is very poor, so in order to attend the interviews properly I had to travel almost two hours to another city to stay somewhere with a stable and fast internet connection.

This meant spending money that I honestly could not afford, but I still did it because I was hopeful about the opportunity.

After the first interview I returned home, but later I was contacted again and told there would be a second interview. Once again I had to travel and spend more money just to make sure I could participate.

During the process they even sent me detailed information about the project, which made it seem like I was already moving forward and close to starting.

Then suddenly, after all that effort, time, and personal expense, I was told they would not continue with my application.

I understand that companies reject candidates, but putting someone through multiple interview steps, sharing project details, and creating the expectation that they are moving forward only to reject them afterwards is extremely discouraging and feels very disrespectful of applicants’ time and circumstances.

Companies should be more transparent and considerate of the effort candidates sometimes have to make just to participate in their hiring process.

Horrible employer.
They will hire you as a 'freelance contractor' just so you won't get the benefits of being an employee but you will still be treated, and expected to behave as one.

I have worked their Spotify project for 3,5 years. To be fair I liked the flexible working hours and the colleagues, which is why I stayed.

They unfortunately have zero work ethics. I worked for 3 and a half years for them just to have it end via an email "you're out, effective immediately".

Would aboslutely not recommend, unless your a massochist.

My experience applying for jobs on this platform has been consistently disappointing; I've never secured an interview or received any direct feedback. Therefore, receiving a notification stating I participated in an interview process and failed was not only surprising but also deeply concerning. It implies that my account activity isn't being accurately tracked or reviewed, and that communications are generic rather than tailored to individual applicants.

This incident has led me to doubt the legitimacy of the opportunities presented. I'm now inclined to believe the platform may be functioning more as a means to collect resumes than to genuinely connect job seekers with relevant roles. I would advise other job seekers to consider if their time is best spent applying through this platform.

I worked for Modsquad on different projects for almost 3 years, as a foreign freelancer. So, I was from outside of the US. Please keep that in mind moving forward. Let's say the money was very worth all the trouble that I had to deal with while working there. I managed to buy myself an apartment and pay it off, saved up to get some major medical surgeries done that I really needed. At some point, due to political issues, I had to move countries, and the company allowed me a grace period to move and readjust. Shortly after, I was back there, working. In the end, I was terminated because I kind of dropped the ball due to health issues. But, overall, my experience was good.

Under paid, under appreciated. This is an awful and predatory place to work. Plan on having a 2nd or 3rd job if you plan on working here because you will not make enough to support any kind of home/work balance.

No benefits, no PTO/sick days, no OT, work holidays, no promotions, no raises, no taxes taken, predatory working conditions, poor upper management.

The only benefit of working here is that it is WFH.

Please don't waste your time by filling out their appliacation because they will NOT hire you no.matter what your background is.. I don't know what they think they are, lol.. They may be offering CEO positions and we don't know it lol. It took them 3 days to get back to me saying they did not accept my application even though I QUALIFY (according to them).. I read so many reviews about this specific point but I thought people were exaggerating.. It turned out to be the truth.. Stay away and look at other WFH companies like Arise where you can easily apply AND get hired.

Just love the convenience the friendly people worth the money. Extremely satisfied

They make you go same interview twice for some reason, they can't come up with new questions and ask everything twice. Hardly any work there, pointless Google meetings and incredibly confusing and non working system.

Modsquad is basically the middleman between freelancers and client. I worked with Spotify and as a bilingual customer service agent, my pay is 5 USD an hour with no benefits as it's contractual based. It's a fact that Spotify pays Modsquad 10 hours per hour, but is giving us half of it. We schedule our own working hours 2 weeks in advance and the operations team isn't good. Some people will only have 10 hours a week to schedule, some only managed to schedule 4 hours a week, and some will be entitled to 30 hours a week because all this depends on 'availability'. It's a pathetic system and everyone on Slack is pissed, and fed up because of the slowness on Deputy and WorkForce as it takes us all 1+ hour to schedule.

Moreover, we have the metrics. Live issues are always on going. Customers always have troubles paying for Premium, tools are bugged/frozen, the policy isn't clear and it's not fair for paying and non-paying customers. After dealing with customers with a proper tone of voice, they will receive surveys each time a chat ends and a big 'NO' to: "did we resolve your issue?". At the end of the month, it will affect your metrics, not because the agents are terrible in handling them, but because of the numerous tech issues agents are facing. The supervisors aren't a big help.

Never apply at Modsquad unless you wish to grow old faster

I've been working with them for a few weeks now. So far, so good.

Awful hiring process. I invested my time. Took their tests and even qualified for the interview. Honey from the HR was telling me that they will move forward with me and wait for their email. After waiting days and days they told me they are not hiring me. Such a waste of time. Not ethic and professional.

Very unethical Company with sociopathic managers who enjoy abusing employees.
