Excellent table service, politeness and very friendly from our waiter Apostolos, great food and value for money.

The place was freezing cold ,toilet floor my feet was sticking to it and to say their supposed to be steak experts no where near as good as my wife gets from farm shop by far .but the staff are lovely and helpful but I won't be rushing back

Food was ok service was ok but coming to pay was a nightmare . After a deposit was I paid when table was booked when coming to pay the bill became a nightmare Took deposit off main bill but when asked for seperste bills was said oh we have taken a bit off each meal to reflect deposit when checking noticed nothing had been taken off any of the bills because of the chaos everyone just let it go so ended up with service charge paid by most snd an additional 55 pounds gained by miller and Carter I complained but guess what no response

Left many notes to contact me, reported issues to head office nothing come back been over a month no one on the company obviously cares about my complaint even though it says we will get back to you after 3 days….. it’s been 4/5 weeks and nothing. The branch visited the chef didn’t have a clue what he was doing and food poor, Diane the waitress was amazing though

Overall underwhelming and disappointing. It was nearly an hour wait between ordering food and it being served. When it was served 3 of the 7 orders were wrong - one ordered a medium rare ribeye and it came well done, one ordered a salad and it came with ingredients not listed on the menu (can't eat peppers), one ordered a burger without cheese which came with cheese on it. The sauce for the burger never arrived at all. We had to chase two of the drinks which didn't arrive with the others. We made it very clear we were there for a 14 year olds birthday celebration (on her actual birthday) and no acknowledgement was made to make her feel special. All-in-all pretty poor for a restaurant that pitches itself as premium.

We decided to celebrate my wife's birthday at the Marlbrook Miller & Carter, our third visit their well known steak reputation being our reason. We were not disappointed.
Cordially greeted at reception we were escorted to our table, menu's produced , orders placed and drinks served in very quick time. As I was driving I selected the non alcoholic Guinness and and my wife a J20. Our hot, well presented steak meals were a culinary delight and my wife's Birthday celebratory meal was perfect. My attempts at downloading the online App came to nothing. Also I don't know if the background music is piped in or on disk but , to two octogenarians a quiet meal is always better appreciated. A couple of downsides there but not enough to put us off the lovely, well priced and very enjoyable meal. Thanks to the Chef.

Worst experience in a ‘restaurant’ ever. After being seated in Parbold, the manager seated a group of 5 clearly drunk young lads in our area. Every other word was a swear word, they were constantly shouting and running around - multiple customers complained and, while the manager told them to be quiet multiple times, they kept serving them beers and did nothing. The poor family next to us with a small child had enough and raced out of there. We couldn’t eat and complained again. The manager made excuses and said they had a booking so they had to seat them. One of the lads told my wife to F-off - their parents would be so proud of them. We left having barely started our main (which came 45mins after starter and after having to chase for cutlery and drinks). Thankfully the manager agreed that our experience was terrible and agreed we did not have to pay. This is not a restaurant, it’s a backstreet pub. It is not fit to take children to as they tolerate such language. It is not a place to take your family. It is truly awful!

food was good, service was good - what is to go wrong? - the billing process. Wed/Thu they have a 3course meal offer which offers quite a reduction in price. We have a friends and family discount so showed that code at the end of the meal. The code was accepted and not a word was said, it was only after leaving and tipping we checked the bill to discover that the 20% discount had been applied but the 3 course set price had not, so it actually ended up costing more money and nobody said a single word about that situation. A subsequent phone call was held with the manager who didn't even offer an apology or an opportunity for learning on their side. Needless to say I won't be going be back to such an arrogant environment.

We had the pleasure of enjoying a last-minute early dinner at Miller & Carter in Poulton-le-Fylde, and what a fantastic experience it was!

We were served by Paul, and I have to say, his service was absolutely impeccable. His ability to interact with customers was fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and genuinely passionate about making sure we had a great experience.

The food was exceptional. The flavours and quality were second to none, and we followed several of Paul’s recommendations. He certainly didn’t steer us wrong — every recommendation was spot on, and the food was absolutely delicious.

It’s not often that you leave a restaurant feeling that everything came together perfectly, but this was one of those occasions.

A huge thank you to Paul for making our evening so enjoyable. We had a brilliant experience and will definitely be returning.

A mediocre dining experience at a premium price. Table not ready until 20 minutes after our booked time, had to send one dish back as it was cold, I ordered a medium steak and it arrived barely medium-rare. There's three pubs within walking distance (of the Portsmouth branch) where you can have a better dining experience at around half the price.

Fantastic waitress, Grace. Great table in a quieter, relaxed setting. Really good food and drink. Best visit we've had. Thank you very much.

They won’t stop emailing me with marketing emails after a visit. It’s becoming very annoying. There seems no way to unsubscribe. And no way to contact them to ask them to stop.

We’ve been coming to Miller & Carter in Lancing for many years and have always had superb meals and great experiences, so unfortunately last night’s visit was particularly disappointing.

The steaks themselves were excellent, as we’ve come to expect, but sadly the service and some of the sides let the experience down. We had to chase the staff for more drinks, and when they were eventually prepared, they were left sitting on the bar for quite some time before making their way to our table.

The chips also didn’t seem freshly prepared, which was disappointing. We also noticed that the portion sizes have noticeably reduced, while the prices have increased. The tomato, which used to be half, is now just a quarter, and the onion loaf appears to be around half the size it used to be.

We appreciate that prices and portion sizes can change, and we’re not expecting everything to remain exactly as it was. However, when you’ve been visiting somewhere for years and have consistently had such a high standard, these changes are noticeable and, combined with the poor service, made the overall experience disappointing.

It’s a real shame because we’ve always regarded Miller & Carter Lancing as somewhere we could rely on for a great meal. Unfortunately, after last night’s experience, we definitely won’t be rushing back.

10 of us went for my birthday meal on 27/09/26
We sat down at 16:45 (time booked) and our main meal arrived at 19:45 !!! My 4yr old grandson was so upset having to wait so long, he had to go home….it was ridiculous!
They said oh we’ve run out of Yorkshire puddings (essential part of a Sunday roast) the sticky toffee pudding & custard was stone cold & inedible.
The problem was they were too busy dealing with the Deliveroo orders 😡 NOT ACCEPTABLE
I felt as though we wasted £360 & won’t be going back !!!!!!!!!

First class prices, second class food, ordered lamb turned up Luke warm, waited 20 mins for replacement and even with 20% discount offered the lamb was tasteless. Have to add the young waiter provided excellent service.

Visited the Millar and Carter steakhouse in Kings Langley for a late lunch on Sunday 13th September with my cousin. Sally was our waitress and she was friendly, helpful and attentive. We had a divine share plate which was delicious, rib eye steak and lamb cooked perfectly to our taste. So much food we had to ask for a takeaway box and enjoyed the leftovers next day!

Excellent atmosphere to enjoy a few glass a wine

The staff were friendly and polite to us both but with hardly any customers in the restaurant, the time taken to receive our Starters was about 20mins and to be served Mains after starter plates were cleared was nearly half an hour.
My ‘medium’ Rump Steak was nearly rare and rather tough with the last quarter of it inedible - not the kind of food or ‘delays’ we are used to from M&C . . .

Staff were so accomodating, food was amazing and birthday treat was a lovely touch ! Made a birthday celebration more special ... 😁 excellent value for money too....
