Stay away from Capthorne Tara Hotel…

STAY AWAY from CAPTHORNE TARA HOTEL London Kensington.
Horrible room, horribel staff and horrible lack of cleaning, railway disturbing all night. We States 4 nights, 3 adults and paid 1200£ for a horrible stay. Every night was a disaster and no compensation offered.

Copthorne Hotel Newcastle

Copthorne Hotel Newcastle - really disappointed with our stay, I remember this hotel being a step above a standard hotel with a touch of luxury, the hotel is desperately in need of a makeover, it clearly hasnt been touched since opening in 1991, we were given I think the only room that doesn't face onto the river too which again was very disappointing, room was very dark and dismal and not the cleanest to be honest. Staff were all really friendly cant fault them at all and breakfast was lovely, just such a shame the hotel has been left in a time warp, wont be back, far too expensive for the state of the rooms, wish I had checked here before booking and I would have booked another hotel

Easter at the Copthorne Hotel Newcastle

Spent Easter weekend at the Copthorne Hotel Newcastle .From arrival to departure everything was perfect. On entry we were welcomed by friendly staff and were served with hot cross buns tea and coffee a very nice gesture.Dinner we were greeted with Easter Eggs and Drinks . Our room was very comfortable and spacious overlooking the Tyne.All staff were attentive to any needs we had . Restaurant and bar are very pleasant for dining and relaxing .Meals served promptly with attention to detail ,well done to all in the kitchen..We would like to give a special mention to Billy Spalding who we felt went that extra mile to make our stay special.Certainly we would stay at the Copthorne Hotel Quayside Newcastle again.Thank you to all.Judith and Barrie.

Fantastic

Stayed at the Copthorne Hotel Newcastle, room was very clean and large, bed was comfortable, Staff we're lovely friendly and very helpful, continental breakfast was one of the best we have ever had great selection, Fantastic location will definitely stay again, Great Hotel

I am regular weekly client

I am regular weekly client , can’t point any fault , staff are very friendly and professional, especially now under new management of Mr Hassan
Room generous size with comfortable mattress and fast internet connection.
Continental buffet breakfast is nicely presented with different quality items

Stayed at copthorne Dudley

Stayed at copthorne Dudley, lovely hotel, spotless but dated which didn’t bother us, the staff were nice, the room was very hot much prefer the likes of premier inn for room temp and breakfast, there was lots of choice for breakfast just didn’t have a lot of taste :( there is a Wetherspoons 2 minutes away thou and I would use that if stayed again, the swimming was good but it was busy when we stayed so couldn’t get near the sauna, overall for price I would recommend

Don’t Believe The Pictures

Millennium Hotel - Sloane Street. Very dated hotel in need of a big makeover. Does have a great location and some nice staff but apart from that there is not a lot else to recommend.

I had an afternoon tea with bubbles

I had an afternoon tea with bubbles. Staff were wonderful so was the setting but unfortunately an hour and a half later I was violently sick. I am a coeliac and had my own special platter but there must have been gluten food on there. I really didn’t want to moan but this is a five star hotel and it has ruined my weekend in London. I am so cross that you haven’t got it right. It is not acceptable in this day and age!

I rang you straight away by the time I was sick I had walked along the river to Wandsworth to meet family.Gutted I couldn’t be with them! I had a return phone call from someone in the kitchen telling me it was GF!!! Fuming that a member of your staff were arguing with me! I can tell you something on that platter was NOT GF!! I can even deal with a Gluten environment but when I am sick like that (which I can say rarely happens these days as restaurants get it right!!! ) it is because I have eaten something with Gluten in it! My husbands scones were awful
… mine were lovely …is that what you put on the wrong platter? I didn’t eat the cakes the staff kindly boxed them up but obviously I put them straight in the bin! I did however eat a soggy pastry cake that was on the top … was that in the wrong place?

I am so upset but more disgusted that I have missed out on a family reunion because a five star hotel couldn’t get it right!

I await your response. In the meantime I have reviewed the situation on Trip Advisor mainly because of the call from your kitchen staff and I want others to be warned … I don’t want them to have to suffer like me! Don’t tell me I haven’t eaten gluten when I have!

Gloucester in London is awful

Gloucester in London is awful
Dated room I can accept but staff are rude and very unhelpful particularly Ali the Concierge and the duty manager I spoke to Tues 28th of November.
Reception were marginally better but not much - it took over 7 days for an item to be returned with constant phone calls waiting on the payment link.
Finally paid £12 for a small package to be returned.
Worst hotel ever will never use again

Poor experience as a customer

First of all our Presidential suite we booked for a birthday celebration wasn’t available. A leak had occurred & we were offered £100 off our bill. Disappointed as we wanted a special room.
Room had opened bottled water.
Requested 2 pillows, 6 phone calls later, 1.5 hours,,we were told to go to reception ourselves. When we suggested this was disrespectful, a porter turned up with 1 pillow.
The remote in the bedroom was broken/needed batteries.
The lock on the door wouldn’t lock. By this time we just wanted to go to another hotel.

Should be a ZERO but that's not…

Should be a ZERO but that's not possible.
This relates to Millennium Broadway NYC but there seems to be nowhere for the US market to review.
Apart from one hotel in Folkstone thus is the dirtiest hotel we have stayed at.
I have photos to show that you would not believe.
Every corner,edge, picture frame etc were thick in dust that rolled off.
A sock, tissues, bottle top, wrappers and plastic pot were among items found when the bed was moved 2 inches.
We veiwed over 8 rooms and they were all filthy.
Duty manager was a rude, disrespectful woman who should not be dealing with guests on any level.

Absolutely horrendous

Absolutely horrendous. Paid in advance for parking, couldn't get a space. Staff were completely unwilling to help. Told me to find somewhere else. After hours I finally got a space in the car park I had paid for. In the morning house keepers let themselves into the room while I was asleep. Upon trying to leave I was blocked in the car park and could not leave. Staff again were unhelpful. Today I have just received a parking fine for the parking I had paid for. Staff again are unwilling to help. Please do not stay at this hotel.

Worst management. Operations Manager does not have any sense of responsibility. Buffet dinner was booked by us and there was no food .After many attempts of talking to the staff and the management the food was made available. On Monday we tried booking for buffet dinner via phone and the staff was very rude. We made a complaint to Aroha Matthews the operational manager, instead of taking action she showed a care less attitude. Our room where we stayed did not have the remote for heat pump and on asking the staff we received vague responses. After several attempts the remote was made available. Don't you check the room before it is made available to customers.
If ya here was minus zero rating I would have given to that. Never ever coming back. The their HEAD OFFICE does the audit

Poor customer service skills. No response!

Booked to stay at Millenium Gloucester Hotel in London, had to cut my trip short due to a death in the family so I checked out. Front desk said I would get a refund for remainder of time. Weeks later I’m being told I stayed the whole duration- which I didn’t! I checked out and informed the staff my situation, was told I’d get a refund for the night I’m not using due to my circumstances. Tried to ring, email- contact the hotel in various forms but been ignored. Disgusting service, staff are not honest and lack customer service skills!

Very sad to be writing this review as…

Very sad to be writing this review as my actual stay was nice. My room was clean and check in staff were lovely. I stayed at Manchester Salford Quays hotel on 8th October. I paid for my stay in full in September. On the 10th of October I noticed I had been charged again for my stay so contacted there reservations team to rectify the problem. I have never in my life dealt with a team of unprofessional people who just pass you around. I have made numerous calls & emails and still on 21st October I have yet to speak to a manager or had my money refunded. I have been assured on two occasions that assistant manager Fanny would be contacting me which she’s made no attempt. I’m disgusted. Never again will I ever book with Copthorne hotels again!!!

Copthorne Tara Hotel Kensington

I recently stopped at the Copthorne Tara Hotel in Kensington. The location is fantastic, walking distance to shops, Hyde Park and excellent restaurants. The hotel (at an extra cost of £24 for two people) provides a really good value for money breakfast.
Unfortunately the hotel is let down by the dated decor in the rooms and the extremely chaotic check in/check out at reception.

When we checked in it took 30 mins

When we checked in it took 30 mins, got booking totally confused, staff member became aggressive with one of our party. Had a meal booked sat there 30 mins no drinks, no menus . We had another booking which we had to cancel due to how long we waited. Had to leave restaurant to go to bar to get our own drinks & when everyone’s food came it was stone cold. They have also unlawfully got our credit card details from booking company and taken £465 when the account was settled. We rang the hotel who wouldn’t help us. The worse hotel I’ve ever had the misfortune to book.
