I have been with Merrill Edge for quite a few years and recently left my job and started daytrading for the last year and a half. They have the worst service by far and I honestly think they’re software or they themselves are skimming from my account on each trade as I trade multiple times a day and profits don’t show on my Proft/Loss are almost always incorrect and not in my favor of course!!
Do not use Merrill Edge for a trading platform. It will drive you nuts, Customer Service is not great either.
I have moved all my assets to Schwab that has thinkorswim platform that is very advanced as a trading platform, highly recommend!!!

Ultimately, I have hired an attorney to try and recover money that was lost/missing??

My experience with Merrill Edge has been incredibly frustrating. Despite following their specific instructions and submitting notarized documents there times, they rejected my paperwork every time. I called the customer support to why the reason no response i still sent emails no response still.
The new strategy is hitting different. Multiple payouts coming in from different platforms and #Qurentseven.. I'm playing the games smarter now.

I made the mistake to open an account with Merrill Edge. From the start, the experience has been surprisingly poor. Well, perhaps not so surprising, given that it's "a Bank of America company". Terrible CS. My assets transfer form was not looked at for weeks, and I only got updates on the process from the out-transferring brokerages. The forms I submitted along were lost somewhere in the "system" and I had to waste time contact CS 4 times for them to find them. Still unprocessed. Even after the assets have long been received into the account and I executed trades, it still says on some page that forms (long submitted) are required in order to process the transfer! The "secure messaging" it's said, in the "welcoming" message, to be used to send and receive messages, yet there's no capability for it other than "upload" docs, which I sent 3 of, never addressed. Online chat is useless lip-service. Etc. A regrettable waste of time and money for me here.

Merril edge is in the charade business I have been fighting with them for over a month filling out paperwork after paperwork I am the POA on an IRA which funds are used for care of a relative in a nursing home well they saw fit beginning the year just to stop the reoccurring distribution I tried and tried to get them to restart and it was always some excuse I liquidated the account and now all you get is more more excuses it's in the queue it's in the queue I've contacted the security exchange commission now it's on to the Florida financial regulations commission they're holding money that I liquidated so I can put it in Fidelity and not have a problem they have no authority or right to do what they're doing they are scam artists I would not recommend anyone investing a dime in anything involved with Merrill they are under numerous lawsuits and they are not professional and they will flag you and you will never see your money I for one and mentally physically frustrated and tired there has to be something to make them get off their butts and put the funds in the account they don't own them and have no authority to hold them I have been filling out paperwork for a month these people need to be put in jail

Awful service. If you sign up for a managed account and then later on change your mind and want to move back to doing it yourself they make it purposely drag on for well over a month and you cant see any of your money, they take it all during that time and it feels like its gone. It is a total mess. Should be illegal.

My financial advisor was thorough, both in information, resources, and patience. I was safely able to roll-over my IRA and gained better understanding of the process as a whole and potential mishaps that I can now avoid. He was kind and helpful. I'm really glad Merrill Edge has such reliable members in their team.

Merrill Edge is a mess or it is running a scam. I am on level 3 options which only allows option trading using the cash, yet the system allows me to write puts on margin, then email and call me that I have a margin maintain call and ask me either to add in more money or close my puts which basically make me loss money if the put price isn't going down next day, Merrill makes at least two option fees. When I was on a phone with their trading specialist and I was told they are monitoring my trades, sounds like a scam. I asked why there system allow to write a put option on margin, I did not get an answer and sound like it is related to long put or some. I am wondering if any one has similar experiences?

I am in the process of moving cash from Merrill Edge to another IRA custodian. They are sitting on my funds for 7 to 14 business days before they will take any action. And also no explanation of why they should be taking so long. This makes me scared that they are in dire financial trouble.

Im, sure no one will believe this but Ive been in the market for well over 5 yeyars and I have NEVER seen another broker di what Merril just told me when Iwas trying to place a trade on Slilsoft (SKIL). After throwing $13,000 on the stock, a message popped uop, telling me that I cant trade that online!!!

So I called them and their excuse was, "because the stock is riskt"!!!!!!!!

SERIOUSLY? Well then do everyone in the market a HUGE favor and tell use which stocks AREN'T risky and I'll go to my bank, mortgage my house and put it all od whatever those geniuses say isnt "risky".

If i could find ONE broker that will let me throw $13,000 on the table and make trades FOR ME, using a bot, or algorithm I'd eat dirt but I'll bet i've called 30 of them and NOBODY does that!!!

And I remind you here that this IS the 21st century and Merrill is so "brilliant" that they refuse to let anyone use a bot on their stinking website, nor will they use a bot and trade FOR you!!!!!!

Dopes ANYONE know of ANY stock that isnt "risky"?

They are great until you want to make a trade! I put in an order and they limit it to 95% of the cash balance in your account. So you can have thousands of dollars that are not invested. And customer service? Don't bother, you will sit on hold for hours but don't worry, they are sorry. I'm going back to Charles Schwab, they were wonderful

They are either completely incompetent or criminals. I think the latter is correct. I have tried three times to submit notarized documents to them. I called them in advance asking for instructions each time and followed them to the letter. Each time I submitted the documents I was told they were incorrect even though I followed their instructions. I am now handling this with a lawyer. Never, ever use Merrill Edge!

I received horrible service. Over a month ago i asked for my account to be transferred and i furnished all proof they needed and they kept refusing to transfer my account and it took forever to sell mutual funds which takes seconds to sell and then they did not transfer for weeks and required several calls. They then held back $75 so the account was not closed and they disabled my online access. They refused to transfer that last amount and send by email a closing statement. This firm is awful and I would never use them again. They act like the assets you have invested belong to them, not you. After saying they would send a closing statement to my B of A account they now say they will not they are mailing it and it will be 10 days until i receive it at an address I was going to change and not cannot change until i received the statement. They made a simple sale and transfer two day normal action into over a month long, more than a month. Horrible! I cannot say enough how horrible they were.

unlike other competitors like etrade, it is clear this firm merrill edge does not invest in making a pleasant user interface AT ALL. Every time i go to their main login webpage, trying to use the saved password, it says you are locked out, reset your password.

Horrible experience!!!!! Prior to my mother's death, I went online and made sure she had me listed as her beneficiary. After her death the beneficiary magically disappeared. This was the only matter I then needed to have her will probated. After receiving the court document I emailed the documents to Merrill. They claimed they could not read the notary stamp. After much ado they accepted that. Moving on to the next step which was supposed to be with a financial advisor, more documents were required. The customer service (Jyoti)agent assured me I would receive a check in 7 to 10 business days. The next day the customer service agent calls me to say I need to speak to a financial advisor. She would never admit her lack of knowledge regarding what she told me the previous day. The financial advisor proceeded to inform me there were 3 accounts that had been invested, and I would need to agree over a recorded line that they could be liquidated. Each time I would say I only agree to the estimated amount on a recorded line.
I do not trust this company at all!!!
He says the check will take 2 days in the distribution department at which time it could be losing value. I should expect a check in 5 days after that.

To put it bluntly, this is a terrible website, and you will not be compensated, Atal. The primary issue has been the inability to withdraw. It was the best choice I ever made to give Good merit, a try They do pay.

I travelled overseas a week ago and was going to do some stock trading, but because my phone doesnt work here , they kept asking to send a confirmation code to my phone , I never once received a code, and kept trying several times, but NEVER got a code,but I had requested that all confirmation codes be sent to my email yet they kept telling me they'd be sending it to my phone.... which apparently does not work here in scandinavia but there is NOT a single place that gives you an emal contact for Merrill Edge. As a result this company locked my account and the only number to call is one that can ONLY be called to from within the United States, There is NO number to call from oveseas and there is NO email to contact them . I still have two weeks here in Europe and have not been able to BUY or SELL stocks and will be loosing money because I am with Merrill Edge, a company that DOES not have communication with its customers. Upon returning I will be requesting financial restitution for everything I have lost because of this.Shame on Merrill Edge for NOT communicating AT ALL . This HAS to be fixed NOW
