Important Update: Trustpilot Needs to Be Aware of Misleading Reviews

It’s important for potential customers to know that Mend IT Ltd. went into administration on 30th March 2024 and is no longer in operation. The company now operates under the name Chillblast.

It’s misleading that this Trustpilot page is still using the Mend IT Ltd. name, as 98% of these reviews are from when the company was under its previous management. From mid-September 2024 onwards, a few reviews may relate to the new team at Chillblast.

A significant portion of these reviews (around 95%) are based on work done by the previous engineers, who no longer work with the company.

Trustpilot needs to be made aware that these reviews no longer accurately reflect the current company or its operations, as the reviews are outdated and based on a business that no longer exists in its original form.

My motherboard was not repaired within warranty. The report said that they could not find the motherboard for the laptop and later the service said that the damage was mechanical. I do not know how I could have damaged the motherboard mechanically? The laptop was returned to me without a power supply. There were six screws missing. I feel cheated, be careful with this service.

Jay came to fix my computer the other day and what a great service he delivered.

He was respectful of our house, was thorough and successfully sorted the problem.

Whilst it took slightly longer than I expected from reporting the problem to getting it fixed, I am pleased with the overall service I have received from those I spoke to on that journey.

Great Job done and Plesant and helpful staff, I will use again.

The guys were great as the fault was a little challenging at first as it appeared to be. They talked through a number of things but the unit needed to be returned
Once in their workshop it was quickly diagnosed and a new part ordered and back to me fairly quickly.

Easy to contact, responsive and effective. They really deliver a great repair service.

For me absolutely top notch. Guys kept me up to date every day. They worked fast and repaired everything with ease.

My Wife's PC stopped working after 20 months and I suspected the PSU had failed.
I raised the problem on Chillblast's website. When I contacted Chillblast to chase their response - after 4 days of silence from them - they said they would treat the repair as urgent.
I didn't realise their repairs were contracted out, but a call to Abid at MendIT gave me confidence it wouldn't be difficult to fix, although they would have to order in all possible parts for the engineer's site visit.
After a few days, he advised me MendIT couldn't actually perform any on-site repairs for 5 weeks. Not his fault, but this was a disappointment; however as they didn't have all the parts yet, I agreed to a DPD collection.
I also asked Abid if the Fractal 7 PC case could be swapped out for a black one (which was not available when I ordered it, so I had to make do with a grey case to avoid delays) and for the wiring for 2 additional PC drives to be unpacked from the bottom of the case, as Chillblast didn't do this for me.
Today, 5 days after collection, Jane's PC arrived back. It was expertly packed - even better than Chillblast's original efforts and it worked first time, having been stress tested by them.
Abid (polite and friendly) kept me updated throughout this process, and deserves special mention for expediting the repair. Thank you very much. Recommended.

Got a PC for Chillblast (please do not buy anything from them). Red lights from the start. Several thousands worth PC was left downstairs in a block of flats without me signing anything. No boxes, no print outs of invoices, hardly anything. Bought insurance with MendIT 2 years on site and 3 off site. On site means you have to wait months for anyone to attend. Feeling confident sending off your expensive PC with DPD? Anything breaks your fault. You better to be prepared to wrap it in titanium the way delivery drivers handle thospe packages. I had an engineer attend once. Didn't even run Furmark. Late several hours. Emails left unanswered for weeks. Once you get through to anyone they palm you off by telling you someone will call you back. They don't. MOST of 5 star reviewers here only have 1 REVIEW.

If it feels like a scam it is most likely a scam.

DO NOT BUY from CHILLBLAST.
DO NOT INSURE with MendIT.

Abid was excellent and a great help in solving my problem. He walked me through all the necessary steps and was patient throughout. I was even offered a follow up call after the problem was solved to ensure that everything was in working order.

Repair was exactly what was needed, but communication during that process wasn’t great and it took longer to diagnose than I’d have liked (evidently quick to fix once diagnosed, however)

Had a new PC build and running beautifully for a year when it developed an issue of crashing after 5 minutes of use. Contacted Mendit who booked in promptly after parts arriving. Imran arrived and worked on the PC and after replacing a couple of parts and updating everything, all was back to normal and working well again. I found Imran friendly, helpful and answered all my annoying questions about what cable does what. Great guy and very good service!

I had a great experience with mendit. My computer broke as the liquid cpu cooler had failed and the computer shut itself down after around 30 seconds. I called mendit with my policy details and they raised a ticket. I received an email with all of the instructions on what to do next. Mendit collected my PC via DPD delivery once it was all packed. Mendit let me know when they received my PC and their engineer emailed to let me know he was working on it. I think it was around 1 week later and my PC came back fixed and they even replaced one of the case panels that had been damaged when I sent it back to them. 5 star service they really did a great job and I would recommend them. I would just say when sending them things go crazy on the bubble wrap and strong box because things can always get damaged on delivery like mine did even though it had a lot of bubble wrap and box. However when it came back from mendit it was extremely well packed with foam and bubble wrap and box and was not damaged at all when it came back. Thank you!

Sorted a new pc ( 3 days old ) very quickly for me and now running as expected. A pleasure to deal with MendIT, through my experience would highly recommend.

My Chillblast PC suddenly started overheating after three and a half years of use. The problem was that the pump in the CPU watercooler had failed. I contacted Oliver at Chillblast, and he arranged for my PC to be collected by DPD and taken to MendIT for repair. (The PC was still within its 5 years labour only warrenty, the 2 year collect and return warrenty having expired.) It was received by Tomasz at MendIT, who initially found that the waterpump was working again! DPD must have jolted it into operation again. Tomasz left the PC working over the weekend, and the temperature lept up to 100C. Oliver had previously recommended that the watercooler was replaced by a Bequiet Purerock2 Air Tower Cooler, which I suggested to Tomasz. He checked that this cooler would be powerful enough to dissipate the power from my PC, and asked his admin team to supply a Bequiet cooler. When the cooler arrived, Tomasz fitted it and tested the PC. The PC was then carefully packed and returned to me, and it has been working fine for the past week. Thanks to Tomasz at MendIt and earlier Oliver at Chillblast.

MendIT were extremely helpful when it came to fixing my pc. The engineer was very helpful and informative (thank you Imran) and I would recommend their services.

Excellent service and support. Kept up to date with their progress as they worked on my PC.
