This was our first time in a mobile home and the team at Melling couldn’t have been more helpful. The van was immaculate and everything was explained and easy to manage. The van was equipped with everything we needed. Mel, Kelly, Claire and the team are great and the whole process from the initial quote and booking to returning the van was seamless. Great experience and we’ve already booked for 2027.

First time using this company and can honestly say it was the best experience, the staff are so friendly, helpful and so professional and made the booking process so easy. On collection they guide you through everything to do with the motorhome. The motorhome itself was spotless and well maintained and comfortable made it so enjoyable for our trip round Scotland . We will definitely be hiring again 😊

Hired a most beautiful Motorhome for the first time May 2026. We were extremely anxious but Mel reassured us and helped us feel at ease. The whole experience from start to finish was just great! The Motorhome was spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. Melling was on hand with any queries we had whilst we were away. We travelled 800 miles and had the best time enjoying this new elite club! Don’t forget to raise your hand to say ‘Hi’ to other Motorhomes passing! Fabulous! :)

We hired the Rollerteam Zefiro 696 (fixed bed), with a bike rack added, and toured the Scottish Isles of Aaron and Bute via Calmac ferries (no problems experienced).

We recently hired a motorhome (1st ever) from Melling Motorhomes for our NC500 trip around Scotland, and the experience was excellent from start to finish.

What really stood out was how personal and supportive the Melling team were. Before we drove away, they took the time to properly walk us through the van and make sure we were completely confident with everything. There wasn’t a single part of the vehicle or setup that we didn’t understand, which made a huge difference to our trip when travelling with a 12 week old baby.

Throughout the journey, we always felt like they were available in the background if we needed anything. That level of reassurance and customer care genuinely made the experience so much more relaxing and enjoyable.

We saw several other people travelling the NC500 in Melling Motorhomes vehicles, and their vans consistently looked modern, professional, and well cared for.

If you’re considering hiring a motorhome, I’d absolutely recommend Melling Motorhomes. Competitive pricing is important, of course, but the real difference is the quality of the product, the professionalism, and the confidence they give you throughout the whole journey. Myself and George turned up on a complete whim after deciding the night before that we might attempt the NC500, with six kids and no booking!

From the moment we walked in, Kelly made the entire process an absolute breeze. We walked out with two motorhomes booked for the following week, we couldn’t believe our luck!

The motorhomes drove effortlessly and were equipped with all the latest mod cons, everything you could possibly need for comfort and cooking.

I could not recommend Melling Motor Homes enough! This was our first time ever hiring a motorhome and they couldn’t have made the experience any smoother for us. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, Kelly was great at advising us as to where we could stop locally and the recommendation of the area did not disappoint. The Motorhomes are gorgeous and so well maintained we loved the autoroller 747 even though there was only the two of us. Overall great experience and will be looking to book again for next year.

Fab week away in Feb, the motor home was more than we could have asked for .. Great Company Mellings Motorhome and the Staff were very friendly and helpful. Already booked another week, now we just have to decide where to go ….

From our initial enquiry at the moto home show to having a special week away the whole process was very simple and straightforward. We live in the south of UK and it made perfect sense to hire locally to where we wished to spend a week travelling around the Yorkshire dales and Lake District. We arrived at our destination Kirby Lonsdale which is very easy to find just off the M6. Handover is very easy and very well organised and explained. Secure Free parking for our car too. First stop was the local farm shop Booths, they literally have everything to make your experience special food wise. We spent the week staying in some spectacular sites with views to die for. The Motor home was very clean and well maintained and laid out. Regardless of being a seasoned traveler or new to this, it’s such a brilliant thing to do.
We've historically owned a number of motor homes and it’s very expensive. Hiring from Melling motor homes this way is much more cost effective and convenient.

We had a fantastic experience with Melling Motorhomes from start to finish. The initial booking process was straightforward and well explained, with Clare and Mel taking the time to answer all our questions and make sure we chose the right motorhome for our trip. Communication was excellent throughout, and the document requests were clear and straightforward, which made the whole process stress-free.

Collection day was smooth and well organised. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, and they gave us a thorough handover of the motorhome, explaining everything clearly and patiently. It was obvious they take pride in both their vehicles and their customer service.

The motorhome itself was in excellent condition and spotlessly clean inside and out. Everything worked perfectly, and it felt well maintained and cared for, which gave us real confidence as we set off on our holiday.

Drop-off was just as easy as collection, and we got to meet Kelly and John, who were just as warm and welcoming, taking time to chat with us about our trip and helping us fill up the LPG.

Overall, Melling Motorhomes provided outstanding service at every stage. Friendly, professional, and reliable – we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and will definitely use them again in the future. The memories from the trip we took in one of their motorhomes will stay with us for a very long time!

This is the 5th time using Melling & again did not let us down in the quality of the motor home hired.
We decided to go for the 590 this time which allowed us to park up but also use the motorhome to visit different places diring the day due to its smaller size.
Kelly , Mel & John are very professional & make hiring very easy.

I'd never even touched a motorhome in my life, so hiring one for our family of five, as a surprise, made me rather nervous and excited.

The booking process was nice and simple, a few details, proof of ID for insurance and a payment over the phone and we were all set.

We arrived to pick up the motorhome and Mel was brilliant at answering all of my rookie questions and talking us through how everything worked.
I was prepared for a basic trip, but in reality, the motorhome had everything we needed right down to the wi-fi! And anything we couldn't remember how to do there were video guides to help us!

We had a great time travelling up to Edinburgh and back down the east coast before heading back to the lake district, we had a night off grid.... well, about 20 feet from the Tan Hill Inn on a stormy night, which was "exciting" enough! Their customer service was excellent throughout, a lovely friendly team!

I would definitely use Melling Motorhomes again and would highly recommended them.
