The football game was great! Jairo helped us to get to a safe spot in the sud part of the stadium. Also, his English is great! I do think it is a bit expensive, as the tickets on their own are only around 35k and the tour is 160k, but compared to other tours it was cheap. Also, it is a very easy way to get around at the stadium and not get lost in the chaos.

Santy did his utmost to give us a fascinating experience with a beer upfront and especially with the crowd in the stadium.

Our instructions were to meet for ‘pre-game’ between 11am and 12:45pm for a 2pm kick off and that anyone arriving after 12:45 would effectively be left behind. We arrived around midday to find that ‘pre-game’ was MDE’s time to sell us more tours. Having been told not to be late, we stayed in the pre-game venue till about 1:30 - thank heavens we hadn’t arrived at 11 as it was a long wait, seemingly for other guests who never showed up - all a bit confusing and I speak Spanish. When we finally tried to enter the stadium we were told by stadium security that our bags (a woman’s hand bag and a very small day bag style rucksack) were too big and we couldn’t bring them in, something we weren’t warned about by MDE and that our host wasn’t aware of as a potential problem. There followed about 10 minutes of confused back and forth before we were finally allowed in with our bags, otherwise, we’d have had to miss the match. Once inside, our ticket was pitch level at the corner flag - usually amongst the cheapest seats available (36,900cop printed on our tickets). The match was good and the constant music and singing of the ultras was fantastic - 5 stars for the fans. If you’ve got the time to work out how to buy tickets yourself and find the correct gate to enter the stadium, I’d recommend you do that. If you want to use MDE, you might want to arrive at the very end of pre-game to avoid too much hanging around.

Great experience! It was nice meeting up with the group first and get to know each other! After that our guide knew where to go, what to do and was talking to the ultra's around us to keep us safe. The game was crazy but we really loved it!
