I didn't find that it added any value. I tried entering phrases and it would tell me nothing was available.
What I did love is that one of the owners followed up with me regarding why I didn't feel there was value. Turns out, I thought it could do one thing when it was designed for another. I can see it being helpful for others.

Quite a confusing format. Not sure how much I’ll use it. Seems to suggest a “new project” every time you look up a word which seems quite counterintuitive.

EDITED ADDITION TO REVIEW ABOVE: I had a brilliant response from the company on this - unsurprisingly (to me) it was something I was doing wrong. Matt DeVorzon got in touch and sent me a personalised video, explaining some of the issues I was having, and also how to resolve them with the "dictionaries" function. Essentially, I was trying to create projects each time, rather than the dictionaries button. As I use Word for my writing, I just needed it as a search function, which is now working really well.

Extremely impressed with the response and explanations, Masterwriter itself is really useful for any writers who need a wealth of words to choose from. Thanks Matt!

I had such high hopes based on the slick and compelling advertising. Signed up right away! But ... it's a website, people. It's not an app that runs with your favorite writing software. It's an online thesaurus and I already have access to plenty of those. The hype is exciting! I fell for it! But there's nothing there to get excited about.

I don't write a song without MasterWriter. It's the best all in one tool for songwriters EVER. With thesaurus, rhymes, definitions, and phrases all in one place, and one place to keep all my lyrics, it keeps me organized! The ability to write different versions of a song is brilliant. I started with MasterWriter years ago based on David Foster's endorsement. I wouldn't be without it.

I'm having trouble figuring it out. Is there a tutorial somewhere that goes into specifics? Or something like a troubleshooting guide where needs can be addressed?

Dependable and helpful as a writing resource.

I found it difficult to use when needed. It failed to provide adequate feedback or I could just be challenged. I don't like it.

I have just started to use Masterwriter after having used Songwriter’s Pad forever. It’s as good or better than my old app, and similarly not without its warts.

The fact that the MW mobile app is not the same in functionality as the desktop version is not a surprise, but is no less frustrating.

That said, it’s a great app. I wish it was less subscription and more one time purchase, but I’m happy enough.

MW is a great tool to improve the lyric writing.
As a non native english speaker, i use it a lot when i need a rhyme , a synonym or an english expression that i'm not familiar with. And i can write all my lyrics on it directly and find them easily. There are probably other functions that i don't use and i still need to discover.

Masterwriter is really helpful. I like the rhymes, near rhymes, and phrases...all very helpful and inspiring when writing songs.

I've been utilizing MasterWriter for the past month while I undertake the first revision of my novel. The numerous ways to search for the ideal word that elevates my writing is simple and straight forward. Working on a MacBook I was also able to easily launch MasterWriter.com in its own app. It would be great if there was someway to integrate MasterWriter into Scrivener. But for now, I am extremely happy with this indespensible writing tool.

I bought a Master Writer subscription because I've exhausted the built-in dictionary app thesaurus on my Mac. The options M.W. gives me are incredible. It's like it's actually thinking! Haha. This will transform my novel writing!

Plenty of synonyms. Otherwise not so useful to me. Perhaps my issue, not theirs.
