Great introduction and advices.

Great introduction to the platform the process including both pros and cons investing in art. Didn’t feel pressured to invest and the advice was based on my economics with recommendations considering my experience, financial situation etc.

Very Professional experience

Carlos made setting up my account and the app: easy and helped me understand how to use it. The person I spoked with about the investment process was very knowledgeable it’s sad I did not catch their name do
to the bad connection on the phone. They answered the questions I had and explained them in terms I could relate to. Even explained how fees worked.

They took my money and now it’s worth…

They took my money and now it’s worth half. I tried to divest but the secondary market is too illiquid. My money is stuck in the system and I’ve no way of getting any back until the artworks are sold. Which is in a year of Masterworks choosing so could be never.
Please avoid this company, this is not an investment, it’s a trap.

Hi Kie - Thanks for sharing your feedback. By design, Masterworks illiquid investments carrying a 3-10 year holding period. As you point out, the secondary market presents an alternative to holding the shares you've purchased until the paintings have been sold. While not as liquid as a traditional equity exchange, there are a scores of active users on the platform engaging in trades on a daily basis. That said, it is a free market and investors are free to list Buy and Sell orders generally at whatever price they see fit.
