I had a chat with a gentleman named Jackson, who may or may not still be with the company. I didn't pay the full price for the program but the fee to keep me on the mailing list and potentially join if/when i was ready. I have been producing/composing music for commercials for about 18 years, making a decent living, if not doing exactly what I want to musically. I mainly wanted advice with getting my non-commercial music onto playlists, and getting more work as a producer of artists and bands - mainly business advice more than technical mixing/mastering advice. I think these guys should have just said "we are not the ones to help you" but instead they said they could help, and continued to pitch their services to me with frequent emails. Granted, I didn't really follow through with them. But all the videos and emails they have sent focus on the mastering strategy and not the business side of things. Now, it's possible i'm just not a good songwriter and that's not something these guys can help with. I have watched a few how-to/engineering tricks, and they're not bad, though not necessarily mind-blowing either. So I'm not really sure what they actually offer. I just received an email from a singer/songwriter/producer on behalf of mastering.com. When I searched out and listened to his music, I was pretty disappointed with not just the music, but the production too. And this was one of the guys they thought should be a voice of the company. It brings the whole enterprise into question. I give them more than one star because some of their tips/tricks videos could definitely be helpful to people who are just starting out.

Mastering.com and The Reverse Engineer program have been a huge part of my life for the past three years. When I started, I was working at a mine in New Mexico, feeling pretty bummed out because my music just didn't sound professional. I am 6 months into my journey with The Reverse Engineer program and for anybody who is serious about becoming a music producer this is a fantastic journey. I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a minor in Music Production and Engineering and had been producing for several years but never quite got my mixes to sound like I wanted them to and was going down the Youtube rabbithole of "5 great tips for X,Y and Z" and trying to play whack a mole with all the things that I could not figure out how to do. First few weeks in TRE showed me that I had some serious holes in my education and although I am only about half of the way through the curriculum my mixes sound million times better and I am able to confidently produce, mix and master to a competitive level and most importantly I understand WHY I AM MAKING THE MOVES I AM MAKING and not following some "secret formula" somebody on youtube is trying to sell. Initially I was scared off by the price of the program but after doing the free fix-the-mix challenge I realized that if I want to get better I really need to invest in my education and I am absolutely convinced that this is the best investment I have made in my production career.

This program is legit and is great for anyone that is serious about taking their music production to a professional level. The education content is top quality, the course work/assignments give you lots of hands on experience and the the mentorship and the community help inspire and keep you focused.

Through everything I learned I was able to set up my studio; record, mix and master my own EP; and now I am doing mixing and production work for other artists.

I can't recommend this course enough.

I can't say enough about practicality and truthfulness of this course, you find all the right info you need to make great music at one place,I joined about 3 months a go and really gained a ton of confidence already, I am extremely happy and would gladly recommend this to anyone who is serious about their music journey.
Also community is super helpful and knowledgeable, I have not seen a single question go without an answer.

I just finished The Reverse Engineer course offered by Mastering.com and I can say that it has made a world of difference in the music I produce, mix and master. When I signed up for it about 8 months ago, it was advertised as a 6 month course and I finished in just over 6 months working at it full time. It is now advertised as a 2 year course, as the mentoring is available for 2 years and many of the students are still working at it after a full year. You put in the work, you get the results. Everything you need to succeed is provided in the course and the mentoring staff keeps growing all the time with real quality additions.

I’ve been on this career for over a decade and Mastering.com is by far the best material I’ve been exposed to. The content is just mind blowing. Just Amazing.
If you put the work it will change the course of your career and life.

I have already been studying this program for three months. I have been playing music for almost 15 years. In the last 2 years, I started to take it very seriously and looked for ways to develop.
Probably like many people, I started looking for useful videos on YouTube, read books and thus tried to educate myself.

So finding this program for me felt like opening a portal to another dimension. Information is presented there in such a high quality and structured manner. You will never feel lost or stuck. There is always a mentor who will help you figure things out, as well as a wonderful community of people who are always happy to help.
The level of my work in just 3 months has increased in quality many times, and I haven't even finished half of the program yet.

An excellent methodology for learning a progressive subject. All staff members have been informative, supportive and patient. A very enjoyable experience so far. Course material has been excellent.

You cannot beat Mastering.com for audio production, as well as mixing, and mastering. They have a unique way of teaching. Their community is very helpful, and there are zoom calls every week day. They are all recorded, you will not miss a thing.

The content is laid out in a fashion that makes it easy to learn and digest. Feedback is important and the community calendar feature with mentoring sessions set up 5 days a week adds this level of support. The instructors are experienced, knowledgeable, very supportive and helpful. The content is routinely evaluated and updated as needed. This course will also get you an international support group of like minded engineers at all levels of experience. This course has nothing to do with getting more streams and if your using that as a benchmark forget it, you will instead learn how to present your music in the best possible fashion.

Top notch material, high class mentors, excellent workflow. They absolutely know how it works, they are able to teach even the abstractest things (e.g. mindsetshifts) and they really care for your success.

Been in music all of my life, and I'm over 65 now. I've taken many courses over the years. The Reverse Engineer program from Mastering.com is by far the best value and most in-depth practical course out there. I've learned as much in the past 5 months as I did in the past 40 years in the business.

Totally worth the money. Basically multiple college courses and mentorship at your own pace. The content and the mentors are top-notch. The community is great and they are constantly adding and enhancing the content in the course!

The "reverse" approach to learning production/mixing/mastering is totally brilliant and has been game-changing for me. I have years of experience with mixing and production. I have done a lot of online courses--good ones. But when I started thinking (and training) with learning Mastering first, and then proceeding to mixing and prod, everything I already knew started to come into better focus.

I believe mastering.com is probably one of the best sources to allow musicians to feel like they are progressing day by day, week by week, month by month. They've collected a conglomerate of resources, articles, and videos, on top of creating their own original videos and resources, and personal mentorship system, and put them all together in a chronological learning strategy. They have created an excellent product for those who want to improve in the mixing mastering and producing categories. I've taken many courses in the past, but none like this before. If you are looking to truly seriously grow as a musician, or an audio engineer, then look no further.

Just watching our instructors glide through a song , bend and shape it EXACTLY how they want with the ease and perfection of well..A Master is a real eye opener. They show you the goal and give you the skills step by step to achieve that goal at every lesson. All the way around from concept to the building of this program to the teaching techniques being used. Don't even let me get started about the Instructors teaching a Craft that has such a high skill set. The way the leasson are taught with positive Energy building up the creativity and knowledge and not tearing down because the lack there of is AWESOME.
The mind set /philosophy parts thru out different leassons where a Big Part for me that allows me to concentrate on the good stuff and navigate around problematic issues and be able to stay out of your head and not get rabbit holed. The modern hybrid income marketing and fan scaling huge to say the least. The Reverse Engineer Program is the flag ship everything needed and then some all being made available by a great bunch of people that work in with and know what is needed to meet industry standards.
