i bought 3 $100 cards from target when i gave them out there was no 3 digit number on the cards i went to target they gave me a number to call and they say they cannot do anything with the mastercard gift cards and they gave me another number and there is no one to answer there are no option to talk to anyone i called the number on the back of the card it is the same run around after about 30 min of pressing option some one came on the line when i explained my problem i was put on hold and after 30 min no one got back on the phone i will never shop at target and i will never buy mastercard gift cards

My money were stolen by scammers the moment I tried to activate the card. Customer service was terrible. The payment was still pending when I called them and they told me not to worry and wait for my money back in 30 days. After 30 days they said to wait for 3 months more to get a new card on mail. After months they told me my case was closed and I am not getting my money back. Please, don't give these cards as a gift!

This place is a hot mess! We got a 500 gift card- which someone fraudulently used in France and I had to do all my own investigating then once it was resolved or so the say we get issued a new card with the funds back- the new card won't work and the person I'm talking to is saying their is a different name on card- mine and another! Why in the world are you allowing someone else but myself acess to my account- knowing there's been fraudulent activity the only person to have any acess should of been myself sooo now this card is no good and that could of been prevented if they did their job not even diligently- just half ass correctly!!! Wonder if my 3rd card will work??? Don't buy this- use a different company.

Bought this card to pay my property taxes online. The card declined then locked out. Had to call customer service. They told me my card was compromised. I told them it wasn't compromised and I wanted them to lift the hold. They told me all they could do was send me a new card in the mail. WTF!! Never again VISA from now on. And the customer service rep could barely speak english and I had to have him repeat himself over and over.

Purchased a card and was never sent, nor did I get a receipt from the transaction to track. The phone # listed gives you the run around. They should be band from selling. Wish I read the reviews before purchasing.

Literally the worst company to ever exist. I received a 500$ MC giftcard for Christmas. I tried to use it at the grocery store and it was declined three times. Went home and checked the account. it took the money from the purchase that I had to pay for with my own money. Called the customer service. They told me to dispute the transaction and they put the card on hold to investigate. Fast forward to 2 months later and the card is still on hold. Customer service says there's nothing they can do. They will not refund my money. Keep postponing to wait another 30 days after sending them all the documents they could need to verify my identity. TOTAL SCAM do not buy these giftcards

We received two $100 gift cards for Christmas. We activated them. Neither of them will work as Debit or Credit. This is not new. Over at least 15 years this has been our experience. When they do work, after the purchaser has paid $6.95 per card, the merchant charges another 2-3% for using the card. If you mail the card, they are not insured by USPS, so if they are “lost” in the mail, you have lost whatever the value of the card is.

Mastercard has the worst system process. The gift card is ALREADY activated when its purchase by the giver BUT you have to activate it either online or by phone but their system always gives you an error. When you call customer service, they can't help you unless you have the receipt. This means you have to go back to the person that gave it to you to ask for the receipt!! DON'T buy Mastercard anything. Their system is the worst. Look at how low their rating is and how many complaints they have. Pure crap and a huge waste of time.

Similar experience as others on this forum. Customer service read from the script. Offered to send a new card in 3 to 5 business days, it probably won’t work. I’ve already spent a couple of hours on the phone with them. Probably the most dishonest, awful customer service experience I’ve ever had. Probably an illegal operation to the fact that these are prepaid cards and the money is not even MasterCard’s money anymore, can’t imagine if I needed the gift card money immediately for food. I would’ve starved. This is the address I got from the customer service manager or floor manager.

I'll be honest!!! Cannot get anyone to help when I couldn't use the card. They just want to sell you something, don't let you speak. It's FRUSTRATING as hell! What a RIP-OFF! Total SCAM.

If I could leave negative 5 stars I would. I could not as the master card to ANY digital wallet, use it to buy anything from any online merchant. I was on hold with them for 1.5 hours and kept getting disconnected. I have Flu A & this is my only money to get medicine. I requested a replacement card & they said they could send me one in the mail 10-14 days from now. Unbelievable, they should be sued & put out of their misery as a business . The customer service rep did great. They are given polite options to help their customers, I requested a manager & they world NOT come on. They are an absolute joke. Deserve all that is coming to them. The customer service reps deserve a company that will take care of them & their customers.

Horrible gift card wouldn't work for anything that I tried will not be using Master card gift cards in the future.

Bought Two 100$ gift cards and always getting declined..a bunch of Indians customer servixe who can’t even speak English telling you that you can’t use your card and nothing they can do and to use a different merchant. So Amazon is not based in the USA?…what a bunch of crooks they need to be locked away stay away from master card absolute tools, they even block my number and can’t get any help stating this number can’t get help right now so I try calling a different number and it worked…I’ll be filing a Law suit the government needs to hold these crooks accountable don’t tell me what to do with my money and stop declining my money.

Awful experience. Horrible customer service. Terms plainly state that cards may be added to most major digital wallets and also PayPal, and I couldn't add to any. It was consistently declined. After 3 extremely long wait time calls, one being a disconnect with me on hold (so had to begin long wait process all over again) the Rep had no answer and no available supervisor to get to the bottom of the issue. She even suggested I just go by groceries with the gift card and she was sure it would work there. I had to spend the better part of 8 hours trying to resolve the issue of the card not doing specifically what it stated in their own terms, on their own website. If there's a class action suit on this company, it would not surprise me at all since the cards do not even come close to living up to their stated terms and conditions.

Scam we pay 6$ dollars to use this online not use at a self check out at store don’t waste your money it’ll be held hostage and declined for every website

EDIT: It ended up working at lowes and CVS. Wouldn't work at homedepot and paypal also wouldn't accept it for some reason (was hoping to use it at a place where paypal was accepted). Google pay was my next step, but it ended up working elsewhere. So the odds are probably lower than 50% that it would work where you wanted it to. I wish it would function the same as those vanilla visas do.

Haven't found any merchant online that I use that accepts this card. Target and ebay are a no go. Amazon is also not allowing me to submit this card as a form of payment. Amazon has yet to decline ANY prepaid visa that I've used.

Would be embarrassed taking this card to a store locally just for it to decline. I hope it wouldn't, but judging from what I've experienced online, I'm not optimistic.

Purchased card just (needed to buy small car part). Paid cash, no where is it printed 'buyer beware!' False extra security in form of extreme difficulty of use.Mastercard fix where it declines,has my money now,29 hrs not allow to purchase, ask money back 3 week wait.Card useless think it scam have cards to buy yet not work.
