Booking process was excellent. I submitted a request online with ideas of what I wanted and that evening received a call from Laurie. She was very friendly and her expert knowledge of the area helped us to work out an itinerary that was perfect for us. She made it very personal by asking the type of hotels and flight times we preferred. She worked wonders to produce the itinerary by the following lunch time. She went through all the details of the holiday and produced a wonderful travel proposal for us to study in our own time. Feeling very excited about experiencing the wonderful trip.

The whole package was well planned, easy for me to follow and should help be required, a member of the team are available at all times.
Norway is stunning, Bergen is picture postcard beautiful, a trip up one of the seven mountains is a must...
Also, a guided tour of the city was interesting, with a local guide, Eirik, he was excellent.
Bergen to Oslo train, another must do, breathtaking scenery.
Oslo, busy capital city, friendly, lovely atmosphere. Many interesting things to see, all walkable.
Munch art gallery..wonderful! Opera House, next door, can take a walk on the roof!
I will certainly be returning and will book with Marvelous Escapes without hesitation. Thank you Laurie.🙂

Have just arrived back from the holiday of a life time organised by Marvellous Escapes. Through Switzerland, Italy and France by train. Every day was organised and planned perfectly. All information was printed and also emailed to me. Looking forward to the team creating another trip for us in September. Thank you to the team Gerard and Frances.

Chose to book through Marvelous escapes instead of the company i was going to after seeing the train route and reviews. Glad we did, although not been on our trip yet. The responce to any questions i ve had have been a quick responce with a friendly reply

Laurie ensured that the booking she made us to Switzerland all ran smoothly. This was our first train adventure in our sixties and would not hesitate to recommend to any one. The train system is clean, punctual and friendly. We left behind our rucksack on the 1st train station bench, emailed lost and found and it was back waiting for us on the day we flew home with ALL valuables in tact amazing! great break with thanks Debbie

Got talking to Christian brilliant help , friendly guy sorted out all my itinerary not pushy which I like, left it with me to ring back when I wanted to book.
Then got talking to Paul another lovely guy , great service from both off them and brilliant price for our trip.

Hayley was very helpful but not pushy. She listened to what I wanted from the holiday and gave suggestions that I hadn’t thought of. Her and her team’s communication was excellent and she was available for any ad-hoc questions I had either by email, phone or WhatsApp. The price of the holiday was very competitive. I will definitely be using Marvellous Excapes again - highly recommend.

Laurie organised the most amazing rail holiday through Switzerland for 2 friends & I. We discussed ideas & gave her a budget to work to.
The planning was perfect, distance from stations to hotels, quality of hotels, the towns & locations.
All the details of travel & acommodation were supplied & very easy to follow.

Laurie was the first point of contact I explained what I wanted to do to celebrate my wifes birthday a trip on the Bernina Express I explained my budget and star rating of hotels Within a few hours she came back to me with an Itinerary for 5 days .This included flights from Gatwick to Zurich and train travel around the Swiss Alps including the Bernina Express from Chur to Tirano and Lugano .Everything in Laurie's Itinerary worked out well for .So I booked it Tickets arrived 2 weeks before travel Helen a member of there team forwarded them to me and put a note in if I needed help with anything
Our trip ran like clockwork and we had no major problems.
I would definitely book a train holiday again with them a very enthusiastic team in making your trip special

Friendly, informative staff, tailored our holiday to our needs. Good communication and contact. Very smooth booking experience. We dont travel until May 2027 so hopefully this service will continue.
