This was a new experience for me and the IR2 has delivered a great sound to date.. whilst I’m still exploring the many options to get the very best outcome I’m very happy. Great value.

The Boss IR-2 can be used for Recording , Live through a PA or with a normal Amp. When I first used it the Distortions sounded fizzy until I set it for using with an Amp and not a PA. You can set it for different types of Amps. You can also turn off the speaker cabinets inside the pedal if you need too. What I like about this pedal is you get eleven (11) types of Amp and Cabs in one small pedal. Once set up this pedal covers all the tones I need. Awesome !

Waited for a while for the 2nd batch of these to come in. It does everything advertised. I really like that's it's also an audio interface so I can run it and use effects from my laptop. Also battery power was the decider over Tonex. Just a personal preference.

I have only had the opportunity to play this through headphones so far but what I have heard was very impressive. The pedal offers many options with a range of built in amps and options for playing through an guitar amp, headphones, direct to a PA or direct for recording. Solid construction and comes with 9 volt battery as do other Boss pedals. Looking forward to giving it a full run soon!
