Sara McLaughlin gave a great overview of PDA with some great practical ideas for parents or schools. Great session.

Very informative and simple effective ways to regulate these emotions for the young children that we support

Information that was delivered regarding self regulation was relevant to the age of the children I work with and covered a broad variety of skills and strategies. Very beneficial.

I attended a 2 hour workshop at Hope primary Liverpool on Wednesday, this was organised by my son’s school SENCO.
The LOTS team were friendly, informative and easy to approach with questions. The method they deliver the workshop is refreshing, professional yet unbelievably comfortable as it’s done in small groups Thank you Kerry, Nina & Clare. ( I too have ADHD and struggle sitting for 2 hours as well as absorbing information without zoning out but it flew by )
The workshop basically puts professionals ( who are also parents with firsthand experience) in reach of parent/cares who need help.
A few of the strategies and tools discussed I already use however I came away with a lot more that are simply “game changers”.
For me personally I wish I had attended this course 3 years ago when my son received his ASD diagnosis or even 1 year ago when he finally got his ADHD diagnosis. As parents we are directed to many websites, support groups etc most of which state same generic facts or recommend the same places with backlogged waitlists which is frustrating and emotionally draining.
If parents/carers could attend the LOTS workshop while their child is on the pathway or once diagnosed it would make a huge difference for the children and families. Using LOTS as a service would be a great way for the local NHS and local education services to support families and schools caring for children with neurodivergent needs.

I attended a 2 hour workshop regarding sensory issues and it was so informative, the team really know what they're talking about. I took away so much information and can't wait to put it all into practice. Thank you!

I went to a 2hr session in hope school in Liverpool, it was very relaxed and informative, picked up loads of useful information and new potential strategies to use going forward. Having a service like this in Liverpool is long overdue.

A member of the team has given our school very useful advice and support. Our staff feel more confident in delivering quality interventions (such as sensory circuits) to support the children who need it.

Sara was so patient and understanding of my daughter, the assessment was completed at her own pace and Sara was calm and observant of her needs and when she may need a movement break, keeping her engaged. My daughter even asked to go back and see Sara again! Detailed report was sent over quickly as I had tight deadlines to meet, which Sara and the team were happy to meet. Months later, more information and clarity was needed for other professionals, Sara was happy to accommodate this and provided an additional cover report, which helped secure the right provision for my daughter. Very informative. Offered lots of simple tactics and approaches to supporting our children.

LOTS have been working with our school for the past two terms and we now couldn’t imagine life at school without them. Their staff, led by Kerry, have supported our school staff with the development of their knowledge in order to build confidence so that we are able to provide the highest possible support for our children. LOTS staff are extremely helpful and supportive and have so much time for us at Knotty Ash…even the small ‘silly’ questions are supported in the most helpful way. LOTS work alongside our school SLT and SENCO to best understand our children and school, and how best to support them. I think the overriding aspect of working with LOTS has been how happy they have been to understand how a school works and incorporate this into their planning and delivery of support. I cannot speak highly of the relationship that we have with LOTS and hope that it continues for the foreseeable future.

Great training afternoon on PDA, thank you very much, a very welcoming and knowledgeable team. Definitely will use the OT services in the future.

Attended sensory processing workshop today !
What an informative session, hosted by two lovely young ladies who were very approachable and knowledgeable ( Sarah and Ella ) I came away inspired and eager to try out the things I had learnt !

Interesting and informative. A good review of approaches

Very informative training session, trainers were very knowledgeable on the topic and could answer questions in depth and signpost to places/ideas of support.

I have just been to a really informative Sensory Processing workshop. Lots of useful ideas. Sarah and Ella talked about the 8 senses! They were great and gave us lots of time to talk in groups. They were happy to answer questions. Really interesting stuff.

Excellent training from Sarah and Ella. Very clear and concise with interactive elements to the training. They were super knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions at the end of the session. Would highly recommend for parents of neurodivergent individuals and educators.
