Long story short:
The tour operator canceled the trip 1 day before departure, the agency "Maldivesonline Reservations" told us that they will give us a full refund.

After 7ish emails we received half of what we paid, we send them another 20x emails form March 2026 since now (June 2026) and they are postponing the refund every single week.

IF we are not receiving the remainig refund this week I will forward a complain to all financial institutions and open a join case agains them.
We will raise awareness about this apparent scam if we are not refunded the remaining amount owed to us.

If any other MOR Holidays customers are experiencing the same refund delays and would like to exchange information regarding this matter, please reply to this review. I would be happy to coordinate and share documentation.

I booked a stay at Anantara Kihavah Maldives through MOR Holidays (Maldives Online Reservations) and paid USD 21,590 in full in October 2025.

The booking was later cancelled by the agency. The resort has confirmed that they never received any payment for my reservation.

Since then, I have been trying to obtain a refund. Over several weeks, MOR Holidays repeatedly confirmed that payment had been “submitted” or would be processed within specific timelines. None of these commitments have been fulfilled.

As of today, no refund has been received and no verifiable proof of payment (such as SWIFT/MT103) has ever been provided.

Communication has now stopped.

I strongly recommend extreme caution when dealing with this company.

SERIAL SCAMMERS,
they are in Bali, I hope someone manages to find them and teach them a lesson.

We have experienced exactly the same situation as Paul described here.
Our Maldives booking was cancelled and we are still waiting for a refund that is constantly being delayed

Cancelled our booking 5 days before we were due to fly have offered to refund but in 3 instalments over 3 months firmly believe this is a scam do not use this company

Still in contact still claiming they are not scammers and full refund will be made strangely they did make a small payment to us

This must be a scam! I have my flight tomorrow to Maldives and they just email me with below info which is weird because no resort cancelled without prior notice, they were very responsive until now and now no one replies. We just lost 20.000 USD+

We have been informed that the booking was released by the operator without prior notice to us, and we understand that there is currently no availability at JA Manafaru for your requested dates.

We sincerely and deeply apologize for this unfortunate situation and for any inconvenience this will cause you.

As a solution, we would be happy to either:
- Check and propose an alternative resort of similar standard and experience that fits the paid amount, or
- Proceed with a full refund of the amount paid.

Please let us know how you would like to proceed, and we will take immediate action accordingly.
