I have received a defective perfume…

I have received a defective perfume which, to their defence, was not the online shop's fault. Its main defect was the pump mechanism was crooked and as a result there was perfume leakage. I couldn't use it, no matter how gently I would press the spray nuzzle.

However, when I reached out to express my dissapointment to the complaints department via email, their answer was less than satisfying, suggesting only 2 options to resolve the issue:

1) A coupon of €8, which is nearly 10% of what I had paid, as a way to apologize for the defective perfume. Of course, that is to be used in the next purchase.

2) Send the defective perfume back and await for their reply.

Just feeling like €80 went down the drain. I ended up having to buy a separate spray bottle to add the content of the perfume before it evaporates.

Dear Makeup.Cy,

Since you gave only two choices for me for suggesting either the coupon or return the perfume and never hear from again (as other customers suggested here on Trustpilot, I believe that you wouldn't change it anyway), I should have taken a better look of the previous reviews before buying a perfume from your company in the first place.

I regret to inform you that your unprofessional approach to helping your customers and simply milking their hard-earned money to run a scamming business is not a company I would wish or want to buy perfumes from again.

And the partial compensation was an €8 coupon for an €80 perfume? Which is to be used in the next purchase? 10%? Really? That's laughable.

Yeah sure, they have the original products.

But God help you if you need after sales help because there is none.

I've been waiting on an update on a product I returned. On the phone they only tell me that they will forward it to the customer service team, and the customer service(which is only via emails) haven't respond to me for 3weeks now.

So, you proceed at your own risk. Good luck!

worst service !

I placed my order on October 17th and paid online, expecting things to go smoothly. I received an email saying it would be delivered within 7–10 working days — fair enough, I thought. But after waiting 12 working days with no update, I had to reach out to them myself through Facebook. They said they’d check what was wrong and let me know the estimated delivery date… so I waited again.

Two days later, I finally got a call from the courier saying my order was ready for pickup. I went the very next day, only to be met by a rude and angry employee who told me they couldn’t track my order and had no idea when I would receive it. Seriously? After all that waiting?

I decided to give them one last chance and contacted them again through Facebook — and this time, they just ignored my message completely. No apology, no update, nothing.

I’m honestly so disappointed and frustrated. I trusted this company, but they clearly don’t care about their customers. Never again. 😡

Excellent company

Excellent company. I order products regularly. Everything is of high quality, from facial care products (creams, serums, shampoos and conditioners, etc.) to perfumes. Prices are significantly cheaper than in stores and pharmacies in Cyprus. This is a nice bonus. Wide selection. Fast and efficient delivery. Highly recommended.

Very Disappointed

Very Disappointed – Repeated Mistakes and Poor Customer Service

This is the second time my order has been completely messed up. The first time, I ordered Paris Corner - Emir Celestial and instead received Paris Corner - Ibisco Nirvana. When I contacted customer service, they were unhelpful and quite rude. I was given the wrong email address multiple times over several days, and none of my emails ever reached the right place. In the end, nothing was resolved — it felt like they simply didn’t care.

Just a few days ago, I placed another order on behalf of a friend. We ordered Tobacco Touch (a dupe of TF Tobacco Vanille) but instead received Smoky Touch (a dupe of TF Tuscan Leather). Since they don’t offer refunds for opened products, we assumed it might just be a rebranded name. Unfortunately, once we opened it, it became clear that it was the wrong fragrance again. Now I have to personally refund my friend because of their mistake.

Be cautious when ordering — it seems like their warehouse has no quality control, and customer service isn’t equipped (or motivated) to resolve issues properly.

Absolutely awful experience — avoid this company like the plague.

They lied about my package being returned, blamed the courier, and offered a fake “discount” for a future order that I couldn’t even see or apply myself. Zero accountability, zero professionalism.

They wasted my time, gave me conflicting info, and tried to cover it up with empty apologies.

If you value your money, time, or sanity — do not order from them. Total scam vibes

Το προϊόν έφτασε σε σπασμένη συσκευασία, εξήγησα ότι ήταν για δώρο και μου είπαν ότι μπορούν να μου δώσουν €3 στην επόμενη παραγγελία ή να το στείλω πίσω αλλά να πάρω τα λεφτά μου σε 2-3 μήνες! Δεν ξανα άκουσα να θέλουν τόσο καιρό για να σου δώσουν τα λεφτά σου πίσω για κάτι ελαττωματικό και πιστεύω ότι γίνεται αυτό και για να μην σου τα επιστρέψουν καν! Γενικά εμενα δεν ήταν τόσο ακριβό ή μεγάλο θέμα αλλά αν θα παραγγείλετε κάτι μεγάλης αξίας να το έχετε υπόψη σας

VERY HIGH probably this is a scam company.

I just called them on the phone number 22 009 509, a lady answered, supposedly from their support, I asked for her name, and she refused to give it 3 times, kept replying I am not obliged to give it to you.

I explained I have already checked your trustpilot reviews, I am aware of scammers, therefor I would like to know to whom I am speaking to and also I wanted some more information about your company before I place an order, and she replied I am not giving you my name.

100% this is a scam company.

AVOID, if you dont want to lose your money.

Defective perfume

Unfortunately, with my very first order on makeup.cy, I encountered a major issue. The dispenser on my Chloe perfume was defective—it leaks and sprays old residue. Using such perfume is impossible.
At first, the company refused to accept a return for the faulty product because it had been opened. Then, they offered me an €8 discount on my next order (not a chance!). Only after I informed them that I would be reaching out to a consumer rights organization did they agree to a return—but at my own expense! Allegedly, an examination will be conducted within 2-3 months, and only after that might I get a refund for the perfume (I don’t believe it!).This is the first time I've encountered defective perfume and such an unscrupulous company. I’ve basically thrown away €80!
