The glass is great but a bit expensive and took a while to arrive (but I knew that when I ordered). It was a very smooth transaction though and I am very happy with the product.

I had mm measurements and they were bang on! Great glass palette for artists!!! Will order grey cut glass with bevelled badges next!!!!

Easy to use website, ordered 2 pieces of glass for a repair on an aquarium part. Arrived in the given time frame and well packaged. Glass was prepared better than expected all edges had been polished. Would recommend the company to others

I’m leaving this review after what should have been a simple order for a made-to-measure glass tabletop turned into a frustrating experience purely because of poor communication.

From the very start, I provided clear measurements, diagrams, drawings, photos, and responded quickly to every request for clarification. I paid immediately once the invoice was issued and even sourced the required fittings myself based on their recommendation. In short: I did everything on my side to keep things smooth.

Unfortunately, Made to Measure Glass did not.

1. Repeated chasing for updates

After payment was made on 31 October, I repeatedly had to email asking for basic updates:
• 3rd November: “Can you confirm the order is going ahead?”
• 14th November: Two emails asking for an update.
• 19th November: Another email asking when delivery would be and whether I would receive tracking.

Every time, I was forced to chase. Not once did the company proactively update me without being prompted.

2. Poor delivery communication

On 14 November, I was told:

“We are looking to dispatch your order on Monday to be delivered Tuesday/Wednesday.”

But no tracking number was provided, no confirmation of which day it would actually arrive, and no follow-up closer to the date. This left me wondering whether to stay home or risk missing the driver.

Even after specifically asking:

“Will I receive a tracking number and exact day for delivery? I do not wish to miss the driver.”

No tracking was given.

On 19 November — the day of supposed delivery — I again had to chase, and the reply I received was simply:

“Tracking shows it is out for delivery today.”

No tracking link. No courier name. No time window. No explanation for why nothing had been sent earlier.

3. Lack of customer care

I provided every detail they needed (even drawings showing hole placement and corner radius). I sourced the fixings myself after they passed me to an external supplier. Despite all this, I did not receive the same level of attention in return.

At no point did they acknowledge the delays or the lack of communication. It was as if sending a quick update was too much effort.

How Made to Measure Glass Could Have Done Better

Looking at the email chain, the fixes are simple:

✔ Provide proactive updates
If you tell a customer a delivery window, follow up before and on the day with courier details and tracking.

✔ Share tracking information immediately
Every other online retailer provides this as standard. It should not require multiple follow-up emails.

✔ Acknowledge customer emails promptly
Many of my emails went unanswered until I chased again. A simple “We’re checking this” would have gone a long way.

✔ Take ownership of the process
I shouldn’t have been the one doing all the chasing after payment was made. The level of effort I put in should have been matched with the same level of professionalism.

The glass itself may be fine, but the customer experience was not.
If you’re considering ordering from Made to Measure Glass, be prepared to chase for every update.

Communication is key, especially with bespoke orders. Unfortunately, that’s where this company fell short.

From my online order to delivery took only a week and was delivered perfectly to my request. Arrived next day after the dispatch notice in packaging that was indestructible. Very happy with my order, this is the second time I have used the company and cannot recommend them highly enough. First class!
