Scam of a company, request payment of monthly charge more often than as agreed , states 5£ monthly but they try to take out every two weeks and when you freeze the payment they close and deny you access to your seller site. Please avoid this company at all costs

Sarah is fantastic to work with. I love her clay tools and cutters. Her videos and examples give me grest ideas.

Avoid Avoid Avoid!

MadeMe took money from my bank account without my express permission, after holding my bank details for 12 months without my express permission. I cancelled and they have still not given me my money back.

I asked to register an official complaint, which has not been acknowledged or actioned.

I asked to excercise 2 of my GDPR rights. Subject Access Request and Right to Erasure. I have not received an acknowledgement for either of these.

I have today registered a complaint with my Bank, Citizens Advice and Trading Standards.

Due to their ignorance and lack of compliance of the UK Data Protection Legislation I have also reported them to the Information Commissioners Office.

Very quick service and absolutely love the face masks. Really good quality and have lasted so long!! Would definitely recommend.

The calendar arrived before due date and it looks lovely.

I think the makers and products are really nice but the site itself is very clunky to use. Difficult to navigate, favourite items etc. If you make multiple purchases, orders are lumped together in a really unhelpful way and it so hard to leave reviews. It would be so much easier if this had a decent app that is available to apple users.

Great clay cutters and stamps really enjoying using them

Excellent products. Love the cutters as they cut cleanly and are great for people who have a hard time with small cutters. Easy to push through the clay.

I signed up to mademe a year ago they were doing a 50% sale so I thought this is worth it I had heard lots of positive reviews so gave it a shot. A few months in I wasn't getting sales so decided to fully focus on etsy. I had long forgotten about this account until last night when I got charged a renewal fee of £50! I contacted them and they said they can't refund me and sent me a link to cancel my account. I did exactly this and now my account is completely gone. So now I am £50 down and don't even have my years subscription which I paid for!

Awful customer service I feel conned. Do not use this site, they don't promote for you, they don't care if you don't make any sales and don't care if you lose your account even after paying for it.

I have been ignored when trying to speak to them about my situation. I don't even have the chance to make the £50 back now that my account is gone. I either want my money back or my back my account so I can atleast try to earn my money back. I can see from other reviews that I am not the only person this has happened to.

I would like to warn as many people as possible about this. Avoid mademe, go with etsy instead!

Like other makers, I was lured in with the ‘bargain’ of a half price subscription for the first year and no transaction fees.

2 months in and just one sale and that was to another maker who I had corresponded with and sent the link to.

As far as I can see, they’re spending a lot on attracting makers as they get the fee upfront so, it’s a great model for them. Sadly, by the time you realise that they’re not any good at bringing buyer traffic to the store, you’ve already parted with your money.

I contacted them to say how dissatisfied I was and that I would like a refund and their response was this -

I don’t know about you but, I found that very abrupt and verging on rude. Certainly, it seems like they don’t give a damn about whether makers are happy or, not.

My advice, steer well clear of this company.

PS I moved my items over to Etsy and within 2 days had my first sale!

I purchased the carpet freshener and was very pleased with it. It arrived in a container ready to sprinkle and my refills (which were cutely packaged in sachets) are easy to refill into the sprinkler jar. The smell was delightfully spot on (a well known Lush xmas smell) a good quality that didn’t fade as soon as it was hoovered and now my vacuum smells good too!! I would definitely recommend this product and the seller 👍
