My experience with Peter and all the staff at Madeira Direct was better than expected, and I would commend them to anybody wanting a holiday let on the island. There was a small delay attending to one call-out, but this must be peak season for them.

Madeira Direct is an excellent company to rent holiday properties from. We have always had proficient and courteous dealings with them.

Our apartment in Madeira was really good. Clean and spacious with great terrace and wonderful views.

My wife and I have now stayed on four occasions at the Villa Azul in Gaula, Madeira, and must say that it is an excellent location for your stay on the beautiful island of Madeira.
This two bedroomed villa is in excellent condition with all of the usual facilities available, and the view from the many balconies is quite superb.
The gardens are well laid out, and there is plenty of space to just sit and take in the stunning views.
There are several good supermarkets within a fifteen minute drive from the villa, and the Airport is only a five minute drive away.
Peter (who runs Madeira Direct) looks after the villa on behalf of the UK owners, and can easily be contacted by telephone or e-mail, and Maria the lady who looks after the domestic side of the villa lives locally and is very helpful to first time visitors.
We would certainly recommend this beautiful villa for your first, or next visit to Madeira.

A beautiful apartment in an ideal location overlooking the sea. The apartment has been furnished and renovated to a high standard. We were met at the apartment by a helpful representative and have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment has everything you would need for a self catering holiday.
If there is any fault it is with information on how to operate various appliances. All the booklets are there but it involves a long search to learn basic operating. We could not find any instructions in English for basic operation of the dishwasher. However we ate out most of the time so we had little use for it.

My wife and I spent a week in December on our 50th Anniversary. We both had a great time.
Peter was very helpful, he showed us around the well equipped villa, which had every thing you needed. He also gave us the telephone number of a taxi driver whose wife was the cleaner of the villa. His name was Joun I am sure that is the wrong spelling but I must say he was marvellous, if you ever stay in Gaul please use him.
Funchal was very magical, with all the Christmas lights, and street entertainment. We found the restaurants really good.
Although the island is quite small, there is a lot to see, and wish we were able to spend more than a week there.
We recommend Madeira Direct to any one considering a holiday in Madeira. You will certainly not be disappointed.

Peter was very helpful both before and during our stay in Funchal. The apartment is in a good location and has easy access to the motorway for travelling around the island.
The apartment itself, Vila Formosa suited us perfectly. It was in excellent condition and is very well equipped with everything you need. The owner is also very helpful and provides an excellent guide to the apartment and surrounding area. It includes a very good guide to local restaurants.
We would have no hesitation in staying here again and recommending it to our friends wishing to visit Madeira.

We had a wonderful holiday. Everything was made easy from the booking to the arrival. Lots of information about the Island, the property and things to do. The accommodation was excellent. Clean, spacious,beautifully decorated, with everything you would need. the views were amazing.Peter was helpful, friendly and always quick to answer any questions.

Very nice villa with quality fixtures and fittings but auxiliary items such as towels,bed linen,equipment in kitchen worn and tired. Seating area outside very uncomfortable and sun beds had poor quality cushions. Needs some tlc

We wanted to book accommodation for 3 months at very short notice.
They were extremely helpful and communicated promptly with E Mail.
Accomadation involved 3 apartments between Garajua and Funchal. Very helpfull, nothing too much trouble and very accomadating. Would certainly use them again. Fantastic
