Be Cautious.........
I called the number for Hurd window replacements and got connected with mad city. They called. We set up an appointment and they did not show up. They tried calling over the weekend to confirm the appointment. I tried twice to reach them but the call went into the hold void so I never got through. I was ready for the appointment but they never showed. When I finally got ahold of them they said since I did not confirm the appointment when they called, they cancelled it.
1. I was never told they would have to call to confirm before coming out on the initial call.
2. That was never communicated in the voicemail that was left.
3. They called me and set up the appointment, not the reverse.
4. They call from spoof numbers and none of them say mad city windows. I don't answer calls I don't know.
I told them not to call back as l will not be doing business with them. If this is how they treat their customers before meeting with them, just imagine how their customer service will be if there are any issues with the windows or instillation..... They are so big they do not care about the customer and their satisifaction.
I want someone I can trust. I am going local now..... for certain...........

I scheduled an appointment with this company for some kitchen cabinet estimates and confirmed the appointment date and time twice. I work full time and rearranged my schedule to meet them. Twenty minutes after scheduled time I checked my voicemail and email- nothing. I called them and was told they tried calling me an hour before the appointment to reschedule. I asked why they didn’t leave a message or an email -I was told “maybe the call didn’t go through”. I couldn’t believe it. I had a busy work schedule today and had to rearrange to be home for the appointment. Very unprofessional-i will not reschedule. With this work ethic it’s probably a good thing I found out before hiring them.

Windows have ice inside frame when it's cold. Bugs coming in the windows up stairs, Rep came with the same excuse saying its condensation. Complained about the messy caulk on the outside. Wouldn't even look at it. Tried to show pictures but he wasn't interested. Opened and closed the windows and said there was nothing wrong. $12,000 wasted on crappy windows. Their warranty is a joke.

I had my kitchen cabinets updated with Mad City, as they did turned out very nice the downfall was much worse, work not being completed 6 months out! When I signed up for this I was lied to, they advertised at the time “ Veteran Discount” significant percentage. I was “told” the finance company does the discount, straight up lie. Never got the discount which would have dropped a nice chunk off the cost. I’m on disability VA and SS, Lying to a veteran?? I was also told I wouldn’t pay until job was finished, they had me sign when the job still had work to be completed I’m 6 months out and still not completed. Yet when I complain to the finance company and they call Mad City they have the “nerve” to call me, say “ they were just going through their past orders and see I had some things that needed completion” this last time I said “ YOU” just lied straight to me face” it was the finance company that called you…. The phone call went silent. He (Tyler) Rochester NY office didn’t know what to say…. Caught straight up in a lie. I told him I was so done with them, I got upset and hung up the phone. They didn’t even call back to apologize rectify this absolutely not! This company should be forced to be shut down. I will continue to submit these reviews until they make it right. My kitchen is the heart of my home and to look at what is not finished is beyond upsetting. I do not recommend this company. What is even more bothersome is I put their SIGN out in my yard to advertise their business thinking they were an honest company 😖😥
Persistent pressured sales tactics
To start, I never requested a quote from them on Angie's list. I chose several other companies. Not sure how they got my info and started calling, but I received 15 calls in one day. The next day I decided to answer. The call was super high pressure. I told him that I was not interested in a quote from them and he continued talking and trying to "sell" their services. I told him if I changed my mind I would reach back out and I forcefully had to hangup after I told him several times I needed to end the call. Since then, they continue to call and text. I have been blocking the numbers but they keep coming from different numbers. I don't even know what else to say. I would prefer to keep the leaking damaged bathroom at this point, LOL.
Constant unanted advertising
You can start by just stopping all the advertising you do. It's annoying as hell. You pop up everyday on Neighbors. It's just a shotgun approach to see if you can hit somebody who will call you. Companies that advertise like that are usually a racket. I'd steer clear of them.

Was approached inside Costco by Mad City Windows reps who used the store's name to gain trust. Two salesmen stayed in my living room for 4.5 hours - 3 hours of product demos followed by 1.5 hours of price negotiations. Started with a $24,000 quote for replacement windows, came down three times but still unaffordable. I felt forced to sign just to get them to leave. Contract says 3-day cancellation window but I'm terrified they won't honor it. After reading their terrible Yelp and Reddit reviews, I regret ever letting them in my home. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR COSTCO AFFILIATION SCAM.
Service Department - poor response (if any)
Been trying to get service department to respond to a problem with installation and cannot get anyone to call me back. Have tried three calls thus far. Dealing with a safety rail issue. Also, the caulk used on the original installation is turning yellow and I do have soft water, so issue may be with quality of product. Anyone wishing to deal with this company I urge you to question follow-up service if ever needed. Exceptionally slow to respond (if even you get a return call).

I was given a quote for 2 windows4100.00 and said i was getting a state discount, over charged. He set me up with Aqua Finance at $58.93 a month. Afer further checking I knew i couldnt afford this. I called to cancel and was told it was to late. I told of my hard ship but it fell on a dont care attitude. I have the 2 windows that i cannot completely shut in winter. After 1 year I still owe Aqua $4,000. 12 dollars is all that is going to payment. The only salution was to send more money which I dont have. Very dissapointed in Aqua and in Mad City for windows I cant completely close..Iam a senior on a fixed income and cannot recomend this heartless compant.

High pressure sales
High pressure sales. I just wanted a simple quote. I was approached inside of Costco about scheduling an appointment for replacement windows. At the time I believed their affiliation with Costco lended the company credibility. Further I checked online for reviews. Two men came to my home and pretty much stayed in my living room quickly measuring my windows. After 3 hours of product demonstration and pamphlet flipping finally gave me an exorbitant quote of 24k then came down on the quote 3 time I told them over and over that was an unbelievable price for windows that I could not afford after another hour and a half. I finally signed just to get them to leave. The contract says I have a 3 day grace to cancel the contract. I have filled out the form and will mail it as directed in the contract and see what happens next. So far the reviews on Yelp and Reddit that I have now read are horrible. I wish I had seen them before. Do not let these people in your home. I am scared to death that they will not honor their contact clause of a 3 day cancellation. I will update this review of what happens with my cancellation.
Further none of their websites have an email address, the one they sent to me containing the contract was undeliverable when I replied. As well as the customer care mad city widows email that I found searching online.

They call non-stop and won’t take NO for an answer
Mad City Windows & Bath has lost a potential customer! When they start calling immediately when you inquire about a quote and proceed to call you NON-STOP throughout the day and well into the next day, from different phone numbers, that’s a bit much! They sent a text asking when it would be a good time for a call and I replied and said “tomorrow at noon” since I was at work, but they have called from different numbers non-stop since that time! ***Do they really think (at this point) I would EVER do business with them for any reason?? (Not a chance!!) Just passing this little encounter along since they’re still calling and I’m SICK of it!😡😡😡 22 phone calls from different phone numbers in less than 24 hours is unbelievable when I’ve asked them to stop!! I wish I could post copies of all of them from my phone as proof! Horrible experience!

I had MAD CITY install a roll in shower this was several years ago they had to adjust to be able to roll shower chair in without having to physically lift the chair with my daughter in chair any way some one came to my door 2days ago and he ask if I had any thing I needed to have updated I told him no and I told him that I had a shower installed several years ago and he ask if he could see. I showed he said they had updated products so I let him have some one out to look at they came yesterday and he said since they have life time warranty coverage that I just needed service to have the ramp fixed the people that I talked to were very nice I ask him how much would this cost he said nothing as under warranty so when the service person called he said because of wear and tear it would cost me $ why did one say won't be a charge then when called to set app. there was a charge if life time mean what ?if you don't use the shower

I have no idea who these people are. I received a call @ 10 AM on 5 October 2025. I said it was Sunday and I did not request any estimates...I hung up. I then received 3 other calls from the same office harassing me. They claimed when I threatened to call the police they were the victims and I was rude. I have no idea who these people are but have sought legal action to not have them call me again.

I had a new shower unit installed in my bathroom off my bedroom 3 weeks ago, approx. The men involved were courteous and attentive. Very professional. The completed job is amazing. The shower experience is is wonderful. I love the look and the feel of the shower.
