For the 2nd time I found parts in my…

For the 2nd time I found parts in my back seat that were never installed. Was told to pick up my car late so they could detail it. I picked it up at 4.30. Never cleaned it. Dusty dirty inside and out. Big paint drop on front end Bad fitting pieces. Was told it happens with after market parts. They damaged my key lock sensor. Now my car doesn’t beep when I lick it with my remote. They had my antenna laying on the floor of my car. Don’t know why they removed it. I had my front end repaired. I think they took mine and gave me a different one. I’m getting bad reception on my radio now. Both times I’ve had fine work here at 75 SW Irwin in West Melbourne they were late in getting my car back to me. They charged me $100 for a luggage rack end cap. They put it on in 10 seconds when I got there. They forgot about it. I was charged $35 for labor and paint supplies. It didn’t need to be painted it came in standard color. Stay away from here

repaint 2006 Chevy Silverado

A few weeks ago I went to the Maaco in West Melbourne, Florida to discuss how I wanted my 2006 Chevy Silverado completely repainted and get an estimate. Last Monday Jan 6, 2026 I dropped it off and it was ready today Jan 13. I did a full inspection and i am VERY pleased with all the work which exceeded my expectations. A shout out to the staff and to "Angle the painter" for doing a great Job. The truck looks like it is new and fresh.

Felony Insurance Fraud

Felony Insurance Fraud. Im not joking. Over 5 month ordeal to get a simple headlight replacement. I don't even know where to begin. They stole an extra headlight they ordered for my Porsche on my Insurance claim, tried to keep the old one too. They probably made $3,000 off us. Not only that, they didn't know how to work on Porsche vehicles as the mechanics said they had never touched a Porsche before and didn't know what they were doing!!!! I had 3 options "in network". My first choice told me straight up they were not qualified to work Porsche. The 2 left were Maacos. They insisted the insurance company pay for all parts up front before they ordered anything "because it was too expensive ". This delayed everything for weeks. Then they ordered the wrong color headlight AND INSTALLED IT ANYWAY! Then tried to blame the insurance company for it. We had to make multiple unnecessary trips back and forth. They had to uninstall the incorrect light, get photos proving it wasn't damaged. They broke the water line to the wiper fluid pulling on light so hard. We almost got stuck with an unmatched headlight on a flipping PORSCHE!!!! Then, they let us pick up the car with the $125 bulb missing! My poor husband waited around 4 hours (that trip alone) on a work night for them to find it when it was supposed to be a simple pick up. We thought we were finally finished with these idiots. They installed a black headlight the first time around knowing my other one was chrome!!?? Looking back now I think it was so they could claim it "used" and keep it to sell. When we called them out and contacted the corporate office the local franchise owner LIED and said he paid for the extra headlight so he could keep it. When he realized we have proof through our correspondence with the insurance company that our insurance paid for BOTH headlights he suddenly got desperate and pathetically started lieing to corporate that we were threatening his life and he was going to call the police! Pathetic criminal caught red handed squirming like a caged rat to escape. The corporate office sympathized but doesn't really care. These locations are franchised. Maybe a class action lawsuit or federal investigation will get their attention? Or perhaps they have some deal with insurance companies to look the other way? This crap is likely why our insurance premiums are so high. At the local level, these were the most dense, incompetent, slow , unprofessional, unorganized, and dramatically dishonest groups I have ever dealt with in the automotive industry. This was so inconvenient and stressful for months. Constant calls back and forth with the insurance company and the body shop. Hours on the phone. Countless trips back and forth dropping my car off and having to figure out rides and morning routines getting everyone to work and school. I HATE MAACO for what they put my family through. For what? They could make $3,000???? Seriously? We don't have to threaten anyone. Karma will get your asses eventually. Bet that. You can't continue outrageous crap like this and keep a franchise open in a town the size of ours. Our insurance flagged them and they are at the least no longer a vendor allowed to work on Porsche, perhaps no longer a vendor at all after the complaint is investigated.
If I was reading reviews I would definitely steer clear of any Maaco location. Corporate does not vet or even review the franchise locations!

THEY DELETED MY 1ST GOOGLE REVIEW

I wrote a BADD Experience Review on Google Because I felt BAMBOOZLED 11/21/25 and they DELETED it!

So I told Corporate and they said they did not delete it as they can see it...

They can SEE the SECOND Review I posted as they were SO busted for lying...

8. Did not get LEFT OVER PAINT I requested the First Time. Hopefully I will get it when I pick my car back up after they Correct the Imperfections...

However...they DID respond by DELETING my FIRST Google Review...

As I did do a ride through to see my that my car was still OUTSIDE...

No cleaning of the headlights had been done...

CALLED CORPORATE...

Now they want ME to pay for LABOR on the Trunk Trim THEY BROKE⁉️

Labor couldn't be but a few minutes!

Said the HEADLIGHTS were already cleaned (LIES) and that they DIDN'T get my email (LIES) 😤😡

The manager Brian suggested the headlight cleaning...said himself that cleaning them would be the FINISHING TOUCH...

So why would the HEADLIGHTS be cleaned BEFORE the bumper is finished⁉️

Make it make SENSE & CENTS...

AND THEY ARE STATING I CAN ONLY PAY CASH FOR IT⁉️

AND STATING I CANT USE MY DEBIT CARD⁉️

Debit Card IS a CASH CARD??

BUT I DONT OWE THEM EITHER...

And now I want a REFUND on my Rear Tail Light that's been on BACKORDER from Germany for 2 months (kick back here too Grrrr🫤)

I don't want them messing with NOTHING else on my car ESPECIALLY anywhere near my PROBLEM TRUNK AREAS...

Maaco $3000 Paint Failure

I paid $3000 to have Maaco paint my car and the paint job failed in just under a year and a half. The hood and the roof were supposed to have a service done called the "Surface Recon Level 3" treatment, which involves "Rust Strip-Applying Rust Treatment and Primer." They did the roof but not the hood. The hood paint is peeling, with 2-foot openings and the primer is exposed. I paid an additional $500 for this process, $250 for each panel. The local shop refuses to fix it, they want to charge me again to work on it. The corporate office in North Carolina refuses to take any action. My receipt confirms the treatment was only done on the roof and not on the hood, and the roof has no issues. So, Maaco kept the $250 and profited from their own errors. In this case if I let them fix it based on their quote to repair, they will profit approximately $600 in total for not doing the job the first time. Their latest special is $799 to paint a complete car. That's only three hundred more than my quote for hood.

If you decided to use them and it goes wrong, they will make every effort to not stand behind their work and deny any responsibility. To avoid or minimize repercussions they are instructed not to provide any last names or contact information of any people outside of the local office. Their goal is to frustrate you to give up or let them do the work for a profit.

The location I went to is a non-corporate location in Covina CA. It's listed as a JA Maaco, they have 16 locations, 3 in Nevada and 13 in California with a corporate office in Torrance CA. The owner is Joseph Anthony Taormina CEO of J&A Companies Inc. I went the "California Secretary of State/ Corporate Filings" website which shows all locations he owns. Non-corporate locations appear to suffer no consequences for deceptive practices or enforcement of corporate policies.

Currently my only recourse is to share this information on Social Media platforms. Currently my car is much worse than when I brought it in.

Subpar quality all around! Steer clear

I went in to have my vehicle painted full of enthusiasm. I left with a subpar paint job that I now have to paint myself. I took my vehicle in with 90% of the prep work done. I was told that the vehicle would be sanded and primed bare minimum. There was shrinkage everywhere. I took the truck back twice to have the roof and pillar redone. I got it home and the same areas were shinking and fisheyed. I took it back to show Jesus and he said he'll do it again, but he refused to do any further work for. I've always been warned not to take anything to Maaco. I am a retired firefighter 🚒 and anytime I have told someone I will take care of them, I do. This review is to warn you what I have to take as a lesson. Shame on you macco!!!

Excellent Service

I am very happy with the paint and bodywork done on my 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe at Rockwall MAACO on interstate 30. The car is only six years old with low mileage, but it had its fair share of parking lot dings, bumps, scratches and dents. It would have been easier and quicker to trade for a new car, but the commitment to another four or five years of car payments doesn’t make financial sense.

After checking at several paint and body shops in the Rockwall/Rowlett/Wylie area, I realized paint and bodywork on my car was going to be more expensive and take longer than I had expected. However, the total cost of paint and bodywork at Rockwall MAACO was a small fraction of what a new car would cost, so I made the decision to have the work done at MAACO, and I am really happy with the results. MAACO, paint tech, Brad, and Customer service rep, Shannon, were very helpful and walked me through the process from start to finish. I now have my low mileage 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Looking as gorgeous as any new car on the lot. I highly recommend MAACO Rockwall services.

Racist employee

Family friend went for an estimate to this location on Monday 5/12/25. Was treated very disrespectfully by the Jellyroll wannabe who after insulting him called him a F'ing Sp!€k. Owner was called. No one cared enough to follow up. Went to Pughs Auto Body in Tillmans Corner and they were treated fairly and respectfully. Highly recommend Pughs. Stay away from this location.

Painted my car the wrong color

I took my vehicle, a Nissan Armada, in to the Maaco shop in Tallahassee, FL on March 6, 2025 for some body repair and a new all-over paint job. I told them I wanted the car painted exactly the same color, which Nissan calls Arctic Blue Metallic. They said it would take "a couple of weeks". I finally got the car back on April 1, and it was painted a very dark color which looks black from a distance and is definitely not Arctic Blue Metallic. Apparently, they cannot match paint color to the original color, but they didn't tell me that when I left my car there. Now I have no choice but to take the car to the Nissan dealer and pay for another paint job. I want to be clear that I'm not unhappy about the QUALITY of the paint job, or the body work, but I wanted the car to be exactly the same color as when I dropped it off. If you are planning on taking your car to the Tallahassee Maaco, think again. You will be disappointed with the results.

I wanted to express my disappointment. The company offers an online quote for car scratch repair. I sent them photos of the scratched part, the colour code, and the model of my car. However, it was all a waste of time as they did not provide an estimate, even approximately. Instead, they continually insisted that I visit their site. I'm disappointed with the false advertising. I thought that as an experienced company, you would have worked on numerous cars and thus, could provide a rough price range. Thank you.

Brought my daughter's car in for rust…

Brought my daughter's car in for rust repair. After two weeks I received a call saying the car was ready. When I went to pick it up it didn't even look like they had touched it - still had paint blisters. I was told me it looked fine the night before and rust is like that - it must have blistered overnight! I told them it wasn't acceptable so they said they would fix it. Offer to pay for a rental car while they fixed it. We finally received another call to say the car was ready. Once again we headed over to pick up the car only to be disappointed again. Again they promised to fix it and it would be ready in 5 or 6 days (over the weekend). Waited over a week and finally got a call to say the car was ready. When my husband asked the lady if she would be happy if it were her car she said yes. About 30 minutes later we received a call saying the car wasn't ready - there was one more spot that needed to be buffed. Waited two more weeks, tried calling to see if it was ready, drove by the location to see if the car was outside and nothing. Finally called customer service (and I use the term loosely), and was told the landlord locked the doors and the car was inside. Would have been nice of someone had called to update us. They moved the car to another location and was told they put on 3 more coats of paint and it was ready for pickup. They offered a discount of 30% off the invoice and would not honor the car rental that was offered. They have now had my car for 6 weeks for a rust cleanup on the back end of the rocker panels. Would not recommend MAACO for body work or customer service.

Ruined this Car!!

This is a quality paint job according to the manager of Maaco Auto Body Shop & Painting USA in Saraland! He said you get what you pay for, and that it's not his problem... Yeah it's supposed to be a cheaper paint job but not a hack job like this! You best believe this ain't over, you can't screw customers like this and stay in business!

Only go if you enjoy being cursed out

I have no idea how the MAACO in Stockbridge, GA on Henry Blvd, is even still in business. Donna, who is one of the owners, is the rudest person I ever encountered. She cursed me out over the phone for absolutely no reason. She cursed out my mechanic as well. Neither myself nor he was rude to her. She yelled at me after I asked her to extend the same curtesy and listen to me. Apparently, she can only communicate using the F-word. She felt comfortable enough to call me a smart-ass repeatedly, even though I only spoke to her for a couple of minutes and didn't know her at all. Donna shouldn't be in any position where she has to deal with customers. After cursing me out and telling me at 4:36pm (they close at 5pm) to get my car, she said that she is going to call a tow truck to have my vehicle towed since I wasn't able to make it there in 20 minutes. I stressed repeatedly that, since she didn't give me sufficient time to pick up my car, she doesn't have permission to move it, but she just kept hanging up on me. She also refused to give me the address of the place she is having my vehicle towed to. After all that, they still had the nerve to send me an estimate that was 3x higher than their online estimate. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well.

Affordable price and great work!

I went into the Maaco on US 17-92 in Longwood Fl on Apr 26, 2024 for a price estimate (front bumper paint on my vehicle was peeling badly). I was greeted courteously and all my questions were answered satisfactorily. The price estimate was affordable so I decided to have them do the work. All went well and the work was done on time and looks great! There is a warranty on the work, but hopefully over time the vehicle still looks good. Thank you Maaco.

Best body and paint shop in 100 miles!

Macco in Winchester, VA (240 Prosperity Drive) is absolutely the best body and paint shop within 100 miles of Washington, D.C.!

Owned and operated by R. Kevin Kandrick and his son Evan Kandrick, this talented group painted my faded, scratched Toyota Yaris--and now it's beautiful sapphire-blue!

While my car was being worked on, I was burdened by the cost of a rental car. Kevin generously dropped by bill by a $100 a gesture of genuine concern for his customer. I was very impressed by his gentlemanly manner, great work ethic, and helpful nature.

Evan, his son, was equally pleasant, proficient, cordial, and helpful. He explained the details and set a really fair price. Best of all, he promised the best work and he delivered it. He also provided me with a courtesy ride to his shop.

Personally, I really impressed by this father-and-son team. They're great fellows, and they present themselves very well. All American businesses should operate on their principles.

Affordable prices. Excellent quality. Cordial service. 5 stars!

Today, I am driving a shiny blue Toyota. Neighbors and friends are in admiration of its appearance. I feel happy driving it.

We were extremely pleased by the excellent customer care and service provided by Emily and the team at Maaco in Greer. Our 2009 Lexus was painted the exact color of our choice. We are totally satisfied with the work done by the team at Maaco in Greer. We wholeheartedly recommend Maaco in Greer because their work turned our vehicle that we drive back into the car we love. Thank you again Emily and the awesome team!
