Pretty fun and automatic.

Can you add a ‘Dollar cost average’ button so I can set up how much I want it to invest per day or week.

Ex: I deposit 10k and want 1k a week to automatically invest.

I like the fact that I'm investing while spending. My only issue is that my card gets declined at certain locations for no reason.

The cause of my problem was explained. I had holdings in the pie that are being spun off or merged.

I think it’s funny that I hold an AMEX Gold Card, Apple Card and could get approved for any other card. Credit score is 780 and I still get denied for you “Owner Card”? Bunch of rubbish. Honestly I’m tempted to move my account to my primary at Schwab because I’m not seeing the value with M1 anymore. You guys were doing the fractional share thing but everyone does that now. The single trading window that buys at the peak every morning is whack. The whole stock market isn’t available on your platform and then M1 had the audacity to increase M1 plus to $125 while providing no additional value. Once again I even have the American Express Investor Card but get denied for M1s card. It’s comical.

M1 has given me a platform to grow my wealth and have an all in one platform for my money needs. I recommend it to anyone who wants to take their personal finance into their own hands with easy to use features, low to no fees. I do think however that M1 does things that makes their platform worse sometimes. When I first started you could buy any stock for pennies. Now you can only buy stocks for a dollar or more. I have recently became a M1+ member looking forward to afternoon trading windows. Apparently, you have to have $25k worth of equity to participate. I could be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure that wasn't a requirement until recently. All and all I will continue to use M1 because it is the only platform that is competitive and a one stop shop for my banking needs that I have found.

I am a power user of fintech investing apps, and M1 is by far the best overall app for investing. Their banking offerings are also highly competitive. Great customer service, although I rarely have a problem because everything just works. Their smart integration between aspects of personal finance is unmatched. 10/10 would recommend, and I do regularly.

I like the PIE system and the fact that you can have a connected spend account. However, The fact that the investments are limited based on volume. no mutual fund access, and just 2 trade windows are definitely cons. Sometimes a security drops in price mid day that makes it attractive to buy and by the time the trade window opens the stock has recovered and I have missed out.

The M1 service is great and has the feature to balance the portfolio with automated allocations. There is no room for decision making. It would be great if the allocations are assigned after the user approves if they are what he/she wants. Also, it would be great to remove the automated window at 8:30 and the one in afternoon as there is no control at what price they are bought.

I know there are some little tweaks here and there that can be improved, but the investing experience is what matters most to me. What I found to be the best tool is one that does all the work for me. The ability to reinvest as a whole (pie) with user defined percentage of funds automatically distributed (slices) over the entire account is powerful. It promotes growth.

I've been with M1 just over a year now and it has been excellent! Being able to manage my finances all in one place has helped me a lot. The reward system for the credit card is top notch as well.

Customer service follow up nonexistent was told I was going to be called no one called sent over 8 emails about my issue

Best platform for personal and retirement investment. Their automated distribution of investment money to the portfolio you create and along with partial share buying with no commission cost, what more you can ask.
My experience with them was seamless and they do offer lot more other banking product like checking, credit card and lending which I am yet to use it.
Their only exception is lack of HSA investment which if they have it would cover all aspect of family investment model.

M1 is user-friendly and has a great reach of products. The only reason that this is not a five-star review is that they do not have a mobile check deposit service. Trying to use a fully-online bank as your primary checking is impossible without this feature.

I have been an M1 Client for a couple years now and have had nothing but good things to say. I have multiple accounts through them as well as the Credit Card. I am an M1 plus member so when of the big benefits is the ability so use my margin for low interest rate loans which I have done multiple times for random household costs/renovations/etc. Couldn't recommend M1 more!

I love just about everything about M1 finance! I use M1 for my taxable & retirement investment accounts, a joint account with my wife, M1 Spend & credit card, and my wife has used the borrow product as well.

The only issues I have with M1 is that the app is not optimized for a tablet and they do not support joint Spend accounts. Overall, I am very happy with M1 and have no plans to to move.

I'm giving it a two star. The concept of the product is great but it is ridden with many bugs that is not acceptable for a financial product.

I've reached out to customer service regarding mismatch of cost basis in January 2022 and I am still waiting on you to resolve this (it has been 6 months). The cost basis determines the amount of taxes I will need to pay when I sell the securities so you can understand why it is important to get these information correct.

If M1 can improve on their quality control, I will be a long term customer and even transfer all my money over. However, due to many experiences with bugs, I am not confident with your product and is considering moving my money out of M1.

I first used M1 for the automated investing function. I had set up my pie, found my stocks, and set my money transfer schedule.
It's very easy to set up, easy to change your stocks and stock balance, and easy to add or remove stocks. I love it.

There is no support for the average retail investor and am currently seeking other brokerages that find time to support their clients.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE work on making it possible for users to reorganize their pies without creating buy/sell taxable events. Other than the lack of this feature, I’m very happy with M1

Overall pretty satisfied with the platform and the quick customer service over email.
I would like to see this included:

1- Yield on cost for my current positions.
2- Chart to be able to compare my performance to the overall market. Say vs the S&P500.
3- Dividend safety and other metrics.
4- Charts showing how my future dividend payment or cash flow would look like.

Keep up the good work m1!!!
