Very happy with the recent installation of my built-in bar and entertainment wall.
This is the second time we’ve used Lyte.
The delivery and installation were handled by the owner himself, the finishes are beautiful and came out better than our inspo.
We couldn’t be happier.
Product defects, unresponsive, delays and endless excuses with no accountability.
Owner blamed me for the way the units were stored, despite the fact that all drawers cannot close which had nothing to do with storage. The defects that were blamed on storage, were pointed out on delivery and blamed on transport. But when it came time to remedy, it was a storage issue. I was also accused of not thanking the owner for doing a colour change, despite the colour briefed (with a very clear example) being totally different to the colour supplied.
All messages and visuals post the defect fixes (where the units were STILL none functional) have been totally ignored. This was after I collected them because weeks had gone by with limited response.
Wouldn't use them again.

Thank you for your review and we do apologize for your frustration.
As a third time returning customer and for the sake of transparency we think it is important to outline the actual events regarding your order.
You ordered bathroom vanities from us and furnished us with specifications which we followed, as seen and accepted by you prior to delivery.
No mention was made or requests given on installation of the vanities, we were only to manufacture and deliver.
The original colour of the vanities was accepted by you after picture exchanges showing different variations, this was concluded and the vanities delivered to you at your request even though your renovations were far from complete.
We were instructed to store your vanities in your motor garage, behind two vehicles on an uneven surface and improper wet conditions as it was the rainy season.
Some time later you alluded us to a minor edging fault on one of the vanities which we drove an hour to fix only to find no electricity or generator power, as the chap responsible was out getting fuel and never returned. We had to this abandon the minor repair.
When your home was eventually fit for installation months later you changed your mind on the initial colour you had approved and also highlighted the drawers not being able to close as your contractor did not know how to modify the drawers to suit your plumbing outlets.
To assist you we agreed to change the colour and alter the drawers, no charge was levied to you at all.
It is important to note that your residence is an hour drive from our factory, the colour change cost is money as well as time it took to alter your vanities.
We are truly sorry that we couldn't assist you further and that you are disappointed with the outcome.
We will remain open to resolving the issues you are experiencing and are truly regretful that you are still disappointed.
Lyte Bespoke = Poor workmanship and substandard quality
Lyte Furniture advertises solid wood furniture but delivers items made from plywood and marine ply. Orders are processed on a 100% payment-before-delivery basis. However, concerns raised about the quality and workmanship are dismissed, justified under the label of a “bespoke industrial” look and feel.
The images used on their website and social media do not represent actual work but are marked as reference only, as noted in the fine print. The business does not have a physical showroom, which limits the ability to verify product quality beforehand.
I would suggest you exercise caution when dealing with Lyte Bespoke Industrial Design and its owner, Jason. I am currently pursuing legal action to address what I believe to be misleading business practices. When you share your experience on their social media platforms, they block you.
I ordered an Oak and glass display cabinet from Lyte and I’m over the moon!

Jason and his crew went out of their way to make a custom bed and pedestal set, server and tv unit. The quality is better than you can find from any top tier manufacturer out there and Jason designed everything from what I had in mind, in his own unique way!
Not only did his team deliver on time, they also dealt with my pedantic self of where to place everything and even stayed after hours to complete the installation and construction of the bed.
If I could give 100 stars to Lyte, Jason and his team I would in a heart beat. I wouldn't recommend anyone else besides Lyte.

I've been dealing with LYTE over the years and have to say that I've never been more impressed with how they have evolved. I can't think of any furniture manufacturer that offers the one on one service I have received, even when I requested a home visit as I was unsure how to use my space to its full potential. I would highly recommend the team at LYTE

We ordered over the very busy festive season and Jason went above and beyond to make sure that our furniture ( White Oak reception desk, coffee tables, darn doors, shelving units, plant stands, boardroom table and dividing screens) we delivered and installed on time ☺️
We share a building with our sister salon Bacarra, and they were so impressed with the space Jason created for us that they ordered a new reception desk that Lyte manufactured in no time at all ☺️
I am SO happy and would give them 10 stars if I could.
My girlfriend and I purchased a bed from Lyte recently and the overall result was very disappointing.
When we initially met with Jason (Owner of Lyte.co.za), we discussed the bed and how it would look. This included the colour of the wood and so forth.
During this consultation, Jason mentioned that due to the way the bed was structured my girlfriend would have a difficult time sitting on the bed due to her height. We agreed that we were happy with the "lip" design and that was that.
On the 20th of October 2021 the bed arrived. There were quite a few issues with it:
1) Be very aware that the beds are not made of solid would. The bed is made up of particle board (chipboard) and medium density fibre wood.
This directly contradicts what was stipulated on the website "grade A sustainable woods" & "All materials used in our products are of the highest quality.".
2) The bed was missing the lip that was previously discussed. Only to be told by Jason that "I think there was a misunderstand, a lip would interfere with draw mechanism under the bed".
Fair enough, but then why did he tell us that my girlfriend would have a difficult time sitting on the bed because of this lip and why was not mentioned in the consultation?
3) The board in which our mattress sits on, lies on top of the bed frame. This ruins the entire aesthetic of the bed as you can see it sticking out under the mattress and due to the board being placed ontop of the frame, the board and the mattress slide off the frame sometimes when you get into the bed.
Jason only offered an edging, grip matting for the mattress and stated that on larger beds, they cannot drop the frame to accommodate the mattress. Another thing he failed to mention in our consultation.
4) The bed just looks disappointing overall, according to Jason, the bed we saw was a bed that Lyte manufactured. This is definitely not the case, our bed was a mediocre attempt of that specific design and therefore does have the same appeal at all.
Today is the 2nd of November and I have heard nothing from Jason or Lyte regarding the edging or gripper to fix the shortcomings of this bed.
So I warn you to be very very when purchasing from Jason and the company Lyte as they do not stick to their word and blame the customer for their products shortcomings.
Another thing I would like to warn you about, is that the furniture advertised on Lyte.co.za are not items manufactured by Lyte.co.za. All the furniture on their website is sourced from media outlets such as pinterest. The only attempt mimic those designs.
The product we got compared to what is advertised on the Lyte.co.za, are vastly different in design and quality.
Overall, it was an awful experience and we not purchase from Lyte.co.za nor Jason again. We paid a large amount of money for an item of very mediocre quality.
