My crate had a lot of dead wood like balsa wood.I emailed and sent some pictures but never received any reply!
On the whole I’m satisfied with the wood but i did at least expect a reply. I’ve used the luxury wood company for a few years and always been happy until now.

A good product delivered well price is increasing but I don't think this is down to luxury wood alone.
I wouldn't use any other supplier this is a reliable and trustworthy company.

Disappointed that prices had increased significantly & and preferred wood, Ash, unavailable. Admittedly both these items are not entirely within Luxury Wood's control. I have not yet started burning the Birch purchased so will reserve judgement on it.
Delivery was a day later than scheduled & LW were reluctant to take responsibility for that. As l said to LW's representative my contract is with you not your distributor.
As l am retired it was not a major problem. Previously, when l was working l had a day off to receive a pallet. It came a day late & was deposited in the middle of my drive as l was not on hand to help push it up a smooth but slight gradient.lf l had not been able to borrow a pallet trolley from work my drive would have been been useless for some time.
As you can imagine l subsequently changed suppliers.
It is in your interest to ensure your distributor is reliable, not the cheapest & not overloading their drivers.

There was a rather longer delivery time than I have experienced in the past over the years as a regular customer. I ordered a large crate of oak, and one of ash, and found the logs to be considerably larger across in width than in the past: all requiring further splitting with an axe, which is a bind. The quality of the wood though was very good - burning very well, with little smoke and plenty of heat. So, overall, I was happy with the product, other than the large size of the logs.

Using decent wood in a log burner makes so much difference. I've struggled with damp so called seasoned logs bought locally so many times before that I thought would move to these guys. I've had two or three batches of kiln dried wood now and delivery etc always been fine. Yes, the wood is more expensive but I think as it burns so much better you use less of it so probably balances. So much better for fire pit in summer too as smokes less.

Wood fine, delivery rubbish.
Delivery firm did not contact me prior to delivery, luckily I spotted the lorry while out walking the dog and was able to direct to my house. The lorry driver was unable to manoeuvre to a suitable spot to unload so I had to barrow the logs along our driveway (50m) wjhich took ages.

All was ok the only thing was the delivery it came a day early and was left on the pavement not the drive way which has space for seven cars

What would have been a good load of logs was ruined by splitting them too small,why split logs ranging from 2-5 inch into 4 pieces?
Delivery was very good,the driver very helpful.

I have been using briquettes for a couple of years and have been very happy with them. However recently they have been falling apart when you lift them or when you are carrying them leaving bits all over the floor and little splinters in your fingers.
I think the manufacturer have not been compressing them as much When I phoned the company about it I was told that customers are advised to break them up anyway and to take a photo of each broken one and how many break - I don't think this is reasonable.
There must be a reason why they suddenly break up and this should be investigated. I have been a long term customer and have previously always received postive advice.

Very happy with the delivery and quality of the oak. Some of the logs were quite large and needed splitting down. Good to use the pallet frame for kindling. Shame so much plastic wrap is used. Generally very happy and will use you again.

Best priced wood in comparison to competitors. Ordering is easy.

I spent 2 days waiting for my delivery and nobody turned up. The attitude of The Luxury Wood Co is that if you want your wood, you'll be there whenever they see fit to arrive! No phonecall, despite having 2 contact numbers, and no apology. Think twice!

I have ordered 2 large crates from The Luxury Wood Company. The first was Beech and the logs were a good size but burned very quickly. I then ordered a large crate of Ash. Sadly, the crate appeared to contain a mixture of hardwoods including Oak, Beech, Silver Birch and another with very dark bark and an orangey heartwood that I couldn't identify. Many of the pieces were very thin and while they may be good for people with small pot-belly stoves, they were little better than kindling in our logburner! This was very disappointing and I have switched my supplier.

Very pleased with the logs provided - ash logs in nets. They are burning nicely. I ordered on the 21st December and they arrived before Christmas, which was great. Only small niggle was the very short notice of the delivery day - I was contacted at 9.30 by the delivery company to tell me they were coming at 11.00. Maybe this was due to the Christmas rush, but a day's notice of delivery would have been appreciated.

Wood is a good size and burns beautifully
