Soooo, my wife got me a luminox watch on Amazon for around d 300 bucks. while putting it on one day it slipped out of my fingers and landed bezel down on our tile floor. the face shattered. so I looked up the only place that fixes them. Saltzman who quoted us 245 to fix it. I said send it back to me instead, and we threw it away. I now use a G shock Casio and it's much tougher! Save your money!

The ICE SAR works fine, but the strap is essentially trash. Luminox advertises their watches as ideal for every day wear and activities. Turns out the strap has stitching that tears apart and makes it look horrible. They have to lower the price of the timepiece by at least $100.

For the price, there are way better options on the market.

These watches look cool. Absolute junk. I’ve tried 3 Luminox watches. The first two the date function quit working and couldn’t be repaired. The third just stopped working, unable to contact customer service… wasted another $500. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Absolutely garbage

Disappointed just purchased a £600+ watch doesn’t even come with an instruction manual date and time setting had to be found online

I own a Luminox 1500 deep dive watch. I need to replace the watch band screws. These appear to be proprietary as they have a shoulder on each end as well as one end which is threaded with a small screw. The jeweler recommended by Luminox says they are unavailable. Luminox has been less than helpful in this endeavor. Think hard before you buy from this Company as they don’t support their products after sale.

I am writing in reference to the customer service specifically, not the product. I have tried for two weeks to contact a person....anyone, without success. I have used their electronic messaging on the web page as well as tried calling the number as all times of the day. I have selected the options for sales, customer service, and even accounting and left numerous messages on all extensions. I fully understand being busy, but this company will not return a message of any sort. I'd say buy this product if you are confident you will never need to speak to them again.

Woeful quality and woeful customer service. Watch broke within a year (gear on side). No response. No interest.

While the watch did not work out, the return process was seamless.

Does not honor warranty or refer customer to proper repair facilities. Had to send watch to Hong Kong just for repairs. Came out functioning and looking better than factory new. Luminox CS does not honor warranty and will give you the run around. Absolute trash. Will not recommend and will not buy again.

Purchased two Luminox watches 8 years ago. Have spent more repairing them over the years that the $500.00 plus dollars I paid for them. Only one company in the USA that does factory certified work and they severely over charge you and take forever. $70.00 for a battery with proper pressure testing after they close the watch. The hands after every repair never line up. Terrible customer service if you call them. Have had the backs replaced 6 times as they say cracked and will not hold pressure. Several repair that cost me over $250.00 for winding repairs fogged within the first few weeks and I needed to pay insured shipping for them to fix their screw up. Never buy or recommend to anyone and when they break again which I’m sure soon, I’m done the trash they go. If the military really uses them our tax dollars are being wasted as normal.

These are NOT Luminox watches, they are imported knock-offs. I've owned a Real Luminox and they are Quality watches. These things are a CHEAP over-priced
Con. Luminox should sue these people. Since I can't cuss here, that's about it, DO NOT buy a watch from Lumondi!

I have Luminox with the PU strap. The first strap failed in under a year and was worn approx 40 times. The replacement strap I purcahsed didn't last as long!!
I complained and was told that the straps are not warranted and the average life of the strap is expected to be 6 - 18 months. I can buy a strap for a few dollars of a market stall which will perform better than this!! I've always found the watches to perform reliably but the straps are junk.

Baught a new luminox watch from uk and turned up with a damaged strap, have been using these watches for years so not sure what is going on. Who ever is doing the quality control needs a kick up the bum.

Bought ~$1000 luminox automatic. Withing 3 months it was losing time like crazy and the self winder would 'stick' and have to be wiggled to unstick. Watch went out for warranty service, came back fixed. Keeps time. No more stuck winder. 1 month later, same problem. Threw on concrete, smashed with hammer, bought a bertucci equivalent and things are great.

Bought one 20 years ago and it was fantastic, took all kinds of abuse and kept on ticking. Got a new sea mariner a couple years ago, went to Lake Tahoe, fell in the water and it immediately filled with water. Called Luminox repair number and no answer so left message. No response. A $1500 watch that wasn’t even worth $150. Smartened up and spent more for an Omega Seamaster which performs like it should. Stay away from Luminox, total crap with no follow through on their worthless warranty.

Took it with me when redeployed......worked awesome for about 4 months or so....took a shower with it on and bingo ...no longer working and the hand fell off.
Customer support was a complete joke...
1st question: when did you buy it
2nd statement: out of warranty, not withstanding the fact that you were out of the US and cant return until you get back CONUS.

Thinking that the first one was just a bad apple...she bought me the 2nd one...this one was same series....just an 8895. worked great for about a year.
go home and stuck my hand in a wash bucket (cold water) and lens fogged up. Almost fell over....

Finally sent both in for "Estimate" at Luminox repair shop and was quoted $187 and $197 to repair each.....more than half the original cost
both quotes had a note that says:

Kinda funny a 200 meter watch is killed by a car wash....same for a shower.
Good news is that it only cost my wife about $800 total to ensure we never have to deal with this manufacture....ever.
If you depend on correct time and a watch that delivers....skip the 8800 series, if you would ever like customer service skip Luminox

Within a month stopped, and keep stopping everyday.
I called the factory and made impossible for me to fix this junk watch.
Don't buy this junk, it's better buy a cheap watch and trow it away!!!!

2nd watch from this company Luminox. Both for my sons (my wife and I are now getting ours from them). My one son got the stainless, the other got the rubber band one. Everywhere they go people comment and say "What kind of watch is that? - Wow" If you are thinking of buying a Luminox, don't think twice, buy it! Customer service is amazing, you can call and talk to an actual person (Irene is amazing) or email and get a fast response. Thank you Luminox!

Don´t by these watches. I bought my product in Europe, but want to share my experience with the quality of the watch with the US market.

I got a Luminox 8802 Black Opsas a gift from my wife and already within the two years warranty the clockwork had to be changed. Also within the first two years the rubber strap was broken and not covered by warranty. The replacement strap the repair center offered for a very expensive price wasn't even the exact same as the original.
After 3,5 years the crown and movement had to be replaced after an impact on the crown.
I only use the watch in my daily life in an office, so if this watch is really used by special forces, I would really expect it to be more durable.
Besides that, customer service from Luminox Europe is none existing. I filled out two contact forms and wrote one e-mail, and no answers after 2 weeks. I guess they don't answer any contacts that questions the durability of the product.
