I don't like the alignment of the text…

I don't like the alignment of the text boxes in the timeline tool. It won't let you space them out properly, and continues to put the phases at the bottom of the screen interfering with the spacing on the details coming from the timeline.

Love the idea but problem refreshing MS project schedules

Love the idea, but every time I change my schedule in MS Project and refresh it, it pretty much deletes all the existing tasks and adds all the tasks that were there as new tasks.

What you're describing definitely isn't how the refresh data is meant to work. Updating your schedule in MS Project should update the existing tasks, not replace them with duplicates. We’d really like to investigate this further and help get it working as expected.

too restricted

the lite version is too limited with only 2 swimlanes.
Considering the price, we would expect to have more options.

I’m really sorry to hear the Lite edition didn’t meet your expectations — I completely understand how limitations like the swimlane cap can feel frustrating, especially when you're trying to manage more detailed timelines.

Lite was designed as a simpler version of the full experience, offering core functionality for getting started with the tool. When we transitioned from the old Basic plan (which didn’t include swimlanes at all), we made a conscious decision to include them in Lite — even with some limits — so users could still create structured, multi-project timelines without needing to jump straight into a higher plan.

That said, your perspective is absolutely valid, and I appreciate you sharing it. It helps us better understand how the product feels in real-world use, not just on paper. If you’d ever like to explore what options might better support your needs, I’d be more than happy to help.

Best tool for timeline/project visualisations

This is a great product - and it gets better with every release.
If I need to present any sort of timeline or project/program schedule to a large audience - or just organise my thoughts for internal discussion - this is my 'go to' tool.
It does NOT replace a detailed project schedule - and is not intended to - but gives you the high level plan in a customisable visual format.
The interoperability with Excel/MS Project makes it super easy to use and transfer data.
I can't see myself working without this tool.

Ease of Renewal Process

Aside from being a great & time saving MS Power Point add-in, the renewal process was extremely easy. The best aspect was the automatic cature of my license key eliminating me having to search for it.

No backwards compatibility

No backwards compatibility - users get locked out if someone with newer version opens their timeline. This is a major pain point when there are hundreds of users of different versions and subscription levels. This forces everyone to stay on exact same version and level and it's hard enough to get a software update into corporate system.

I use timeline all the time

I use timeline all the time, but you still have not nailed themes. I still stuggle to make a new timeline that looks like my old timeline.

Really expensive!

They lured me on a free trial but you can't even do anything with it.

Rubbish. Not worth the money. Its $250 incase you did not know.

Technical support non existent

This solution seems nice but lack a lot of features , they lure you into upgrading but at the end they provide little value

Office Timeline is a great add on but....

Office Timeline is an excellent add on and has saved me time creating timelines as a project manager. I gave it four stars as they haven't stayed up to date with Microsoft fonts. It would be helpful if they included Aptos. For me, this is a company standard font, and having to update all the verbiage deters from the time I save in creating timelines.

The options for MS Office in Mac are…

The options for MS Office in Mac are limited. The online app options are also limited - no feature for predecessors, no visual connectors or indication of critical path. Otherwise, still more visually appealing and appropriate for the type of executives I work with.

A must-have for making your PowerPoint presentations attractive

OfficeTimeline allows you to create very intuitive, very visual timelines. The tool allows great flexibility in creation and editing and integrates perfectly into Microsoft PowerPoint.
Many options allow you to personalize each component (date, milestones, tasks, swimlanes, etc.).
Recently, it has also been possible to manage a critical path or link tasks, which makes the visual even more interesting.
In short, a must-have in your toolbox!

Please make the license subscriptions…

Please make the license subscriptions for accounts like ours a bit easier to manage. It would be very nice to always have the list of assigned users accessible. Right now, it is impossible to determine who has an active license assigned without reaching out to support to have the question answered.

It's 2024, so this is just expected functionality when the customer self-manages their licenses. When is that update to the portal going to be released?
