TERRIBLE!!
TERRIBLE!!! The last thing our family needed while battling being a Whistleblower on major corruption, juggling a major podcast, two autistic children witj serious special needs and our car breaking down was a nasty Karen attacking and insulting us. Welcome to Jacksonville Laquinta by Wyndham.
From the moment I walked in I could feel the racism and hatred like the front desk lady hated white people and especially white people who might have served in some way. I wanted to turn around right there knowing I had PTSD. Sure enough thos day lady made our life hell. Next morning we say we are going to extend (probably a while) and guess she didn't want that cause she harassed my wife and sent my autistic kids panicking and wouldn't give us time for anything. Considering the DC family podcasts we are going to dive into all thos soon. What is with Jacksonville? Also rooms are very blah witj old tubs and roaches seen in first few hours plus the elevator is ready to break and construction everywhere.
Beware
Title: Horrific Stay – No Accountability from La Quinta, Wyndham, or Third-Party Booking Site
I stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites in Franklin, TN, and this experience was absolutely unacceptable.
Dirty and Unsafe Room: My room had red-stained sheets and no working TV, which is basic for any hotel stay.
Intrusive Housekeeping: I was woken twice before 9 AM by housekeeping knocking at my door.
No Resolution Offered: When I asked for a refund or even a free night, the hotel refused. Wyndham said because I booked through a third-party site (Stay for Less), they couldn’t help me. Stay for Less, in turn, said they couldn’t do anything either.
This raises a serious question: who holds hotels accountable when they provide unsafe, unclean rooms and refuse to make it right? The lack of responsibility from both the hotel and booking platforms left me with no recourse and a terrible experience.
Travelers should be extremely cautious when booking here. I hope this review encourages La Quinta, Wyndham, and third-party booking sites to start taking accountability seriously.
I booked with Wyndham La Quinta for a…
I booked with Wyndham La Quinta for a trip to Gonzales Texas. We weren't looking for anything fancy just a clean quiet safe place to stay a couple of nights. Upon check in on July 31st we went to room 108 and found several large floor fans running at top speed. Not sure why we went into the room and immediately found the carpet wet. Okay I thought maybe they just cleaned it. Walking further into the room we noticed the carpet was not just damp but water soaked about halfway in. It was the worst on the outside wall. I am a commercial facility Operations Director at a large retreat type commercial property. I figured it was the wall AC unit drain backed up or leaking and that's where the water was coming from. Sure, enough I took a look and yes that was it. Not too crazy about the wet floor. You couldn't walk anywhere without shoes. You couldn't leave a bag or anything on the floor. I went to the front desk and spoke with the nice lady at check in. She did advise yes there "was" a leak but it was "fixed" so if I could leave the fans running it would dry out. I thought okay I know what they are dealing with, so I'll play along. We were going to be out all evening anyway so what is the harm in letting the fans dry it out. That was 3 pm. We came back around 10 pm and the floor was in worse shape than before. The AC was still leaking at the drain. I wanted to change rooms and went back up front and spoke to a different young lady about that. She advised they could not swap rooms that late in the day. She asked to leave the Fans running and surely it would dry out by morning. We decided we were stuck so make the best of it. At least the AC was working with outside 90+ heat. Sorry to say the fans were too loud to leave running on high all night so I set them on 1 "low". Morning came and around 9 am nothing had changed. We decided to leave the fans running and come back around lunch time. We were out until 2 pm. When we returned that floor was much wetter than before. The moldy wet smell was also pretty bad. Okay wife and I had enough so we packed our bags and went to the front desk. No rooms available. Okay we will look elsewhere. I did not ask for a refund on my room for the day since it was 2 pm. but I had hoped they would do the right thing. The girl at the desk went behind the wall asked her boss or whoever was sitting there and was told "no refund" on the room for the hours we were there with a soaked floor from 11 am check out to 2 pm. Okay I thanked them and left. Got on the phone and found another room and moved on. Sure, wish they would have done the right thing for the day since we had already put up with more than should be expected. I wish this review was different. I have never written a negative review but feel it necessary today. Will avoid La Qunita from now on.
Hold your guests accountable
We recently stayed at the La Quinta Inn, near Ontario airport. The hotel lobby had a very strong marijuana smell the entire stay, as well as the elevators. There were several guests that were smoking cigarettes and marijuana and drinking directly in front of the entrance doors and in the parking lot. The lobby and hallway carpet was filthy. There was loud music playing in rooms and also loud music playing on several guest phones while in elevator or in hallways. We asked for towels and toilet paper twice before we were told we needing to come to desk to get it ourselves. There were a group of guests in the hallway who made inappropriate gestures at some of our teenage girls, in which I had to intervene. The worst part of it is the staff did not hold the guests accountable for any of their actions. The window of our room on the 6th floor opened all the way without a screen or another safety measure. Although we were very disappointed in our stay the beds were comfortable.

I booked a room online paid when I arrive at hotel they want 50.00 deposit i tried to pay with my Charlie visa debit card and cash they would not take either. And they are saying no refund . So they are shady and trying to steal the money I paid for room on line the hotel said take it up with trip.com trip.com said la Quinta said no refund. So no online bank cards are taken and won't take cash seedy unseemly company. Please beware of shady hotels don't stay here don't get ripped off by them . On a separate note their employee was obviously the product of cousin fucking so watch out for that also
I’ve stayed in several hotels and this…
I’ve stayed in several hotels and this is the worst hotel I have ever seen. Room was beyond disgusting, stains everywhere, sheets were not clean, broken furniture and drug peripheral in the nightstand. Checked out immediately, and asked for a refund. The manager on duty, just laughed and my card was charged twice! This hotel should be condemned and tore down. Whatever you do, do not stay here. @laquinta
Absolutely the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.I stayed at La Quinta Inns & Suites in…
I stayed at La Quinta Inns & Suites in New Haven with my family and it was a nightmare from start to finish. The walls in the room were filthy, the elevator wasn’t working (which was a huge inconvenience with kids and luggage) and the breakfast was terrible, cold, stale and barely anything available. To make matters worse, the staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. It felt like they didn’t care at all about guest comfort or hospitality. I would never stay here again and don’t recommend it to anyone. Avoid this place.
My daughter is autistic and the woman…
My daughter is autistic and the woman at the check in called her a name to shame her. I requested a disability room because I struggle to walk. The disability parking is in front of the building my room was clear to the back up a ramp down a hallway up to the 3rd floor around a corner and back down a hallway. I had my service dog with me so I had to make that walk multiple times daily. The photos on the internet showed a bathroom with easy access to the shower and a shower stool in the room. That isn’t what you get. Bring your own stool and expect to climb into a bathtub. I don’t recommend the La Quinta inn at 793 w bel air ave Aberdeen MD 21001 for anyone with a disability.
Ok, but don't forget anything in the room, as you may not see it again.
Stayed at their hotel in Gainesville, Fla. It was decent and clean, but could have used a fan in the bathroom. The breakfast, unfortunately, was hit or miss. One day the eggs were OK, the next day they were inedible. My major complaint is that after almost 2 mos, they have not sent me 2 Hawaiian shirts that I inadvertently left there. They have sentimental value to me, and they did promise to send them.
Memphis downtown
We stayed at La Quinta, Memphis downtown. Had a super stay. Location is great, near Bealstreet and very central in downtown. The rooms where nice and clean and the service great!
LaQuinta Inns NO GOOD
I have had the most unbelievable experience with LaQuinta inns and suites. It was the worst time of my life. Here is the short version.
I called and made reservations for a room with a jet spa and a king bed. Weeks in advance . It was my 35 th anniversary and I am disabled, so the jet spa jacuzzi was of utmost importance. When I arrived the desk clerk said that my room was not available. They had already given it away. I asked to speak with a manager and he said that they were not on the property. This was at 3:10 p m. He kept telling me what room I was going to have and did not care that I had a reservation for a specific room. Kept telling me what room I had reserved instead of listening to me. Of course I got upset, who would not have? His response to that was not an apology but a threat to call the police! Of all things! As far as I am concerned Wyndham Hotels suck! Don’t waste your time and money on those losers. I have called the management and they were just as rude as the desk clerk. Tried to blame me because I got mad. No apology no nothing.
HELP!! THERE’S ROACHES!!
My cousin and I stayed at this hotel
4800 West Plano Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75093 for an overnight 3/14 to 3/15. We were just there attending a church conference. Within a couple hours of us being there we seen a roach near the ceiling. I called the front desk to ask them to send someone to kill it. It was high up near the ceiling. I did not want to stand on furniture and it becoming a safety issue.
An employee by the name of Norma stated she was only one working at the time and she was sorry. She asked if we wanted to move to another room in which I stated I did not feel like moving and I'm positive if there's a roach in one room, im sure they're in others. She then apologized again. I told her I wish apologies fixed the fact that the hotel has roaches but it does not. The hotel was clean, quiet and in a good area but don't stay in 418 since Norma seems to think that's the only place the roaches are located.
Upon leaving, I spoke with someone at the front desk, he asked that we email the pic to the front desk email so we did. It is now 3/19/25. Absolutely no one has called to even look into the situation. That just makes the stay that much worse.
I have a video and pic of the roach.
Complicated reservation process, inflated prices to offer discounts and misleading promos.
I just made my reservation and have not stayed yet, so this review is on the process of actually reserving. I am a member of Wyndham which La Quinta is part of. On their website, they offer special rates for members on the website, either 20% off a two night stay or a free night after a 2-night stay. I tried, but was not able to successfully navigate the website (and I am competent to create a multi-page website). So I called the main number and after a very long wait where a recorded message repeatedly encouraged me to use the website, I reached a very nice representative. I had made a reservation through the hotel itself (in Pennsylvania), prior to calling the central phone number. The representative from the central offices found me a rate that was lower than the hotel rate I had been previously quoted. I asked about the promotional rates. After a good half hour on the phone, I was told that the 20% off was not valid at the hotel I was reserving for, however, there was a 15% off rate that could be applied, but the rates were higher and the resulting benefit would actually cost more than the higher rate I had been quoted directly by the hotel. I was also told that the free night would not be issued until 5 day or so after my stay, so it could not be applied to another day that I stayed at the hotel beyond the 2 days. It was a tremendous time waster, but I did end up with a price over $100 less than the price I was originally quoted by the individual hotel. It does not give me confidence that this is an honest business or that they run things efficiently. I don't know if I will stay there or not at this point. Hopefully, if I do, the hotel will prove to be a decent place to stay. Everyone I spoke with was nice. It is corporate management that seems to be the problem as well as very poor website design.
Beware on La Quinta by Wydham Lynnwood
When I checked out LQ Lynwood, the hotel requested US$100 deposit plus room rate and said it is the company policy to charge by credit card when and said it is refundable. No repayment after returned home for a month and even slander me of strong odor. It was my fault not to read the adverse comment on this website. Do not trust the whole line of La Quinta and I will not stay in LQ again.
La Quinta
La Quinta. NW Expressway OKC. Complete lack of concern for customer safety, satisfaction and care. Issues that have existed for over a year from our last visit still not rectified. Hotel is completely unlocked at all hours. No security. Personally, I like locked doors. Blood in the bath tub - yes. Dried urine on the toilet - yes. Missing cushions on the couch - yes. Dirty, noisy and unclean elevator - yes. Ice machines down for 2 years. HVAC system still down after reporting a year ago. Coffee in the morning; forget it. Management notified off all issues. A form response was received: Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oklahoma City - NW Expwy. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies.
Your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent any future occurrences. Here at La Quinta Inns & Suites, we continuously strive to meet your needs and expectations.
We appreciate the time you took to share your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the future.
Sincerely,
Jignesh Patel
In other words; we don't care.
I checked out of here on December 21
I checked out of here on December 21. They had a $75 deposit on my card that they told me it would take 3 to 5 days to takeoff once you check out 3 to 5 days had passed then 3 to 5 days had passed again, then 3 to 5 days had passed again then 3 to 5 days had passed again. Today is January 19th about exactly 30 days since the time that I left the hotel and when I called my bank, they said all the La Quinta processed your deposit twice. They processed your deposit on the 20th which is when I checked in. And then they processed my deposit again charge my account a second time on the 22nd when I had checked out the day before. So I attempt to contact the manager because every single time I call and spoke to somebody they told me the same thing I’ll just wait a few more days just wait a few more days just wait a few more days and after doing that 10 times I kind of got sick and tired of waiting a few more days and it’s not happening so I contacted the general manager, whom Immediately said it was not us. It wasn’t us. It was not us. We released it which they obviously didn’t and then she tells me she’ll look into it cause I told her and I sent her a proof that the bank said that they charged me twice and she said she’d look into it. She sent me a message back the same day and said oh that’s not us La Quinta motor ends is not our business when it absolutely is she says you the only thing we took out of your $75 deposit was an eight dollar fee for something you bought at the store And so I’m thinking OK $75 somebody stole $75 that’s all? But she says that transaction that I screenshot it was not the correct La Quinta. It wasn’t her. It doesn’t say La Quinta motor in on their credit card receipts is what she says so this was about five days ago and then today is the 19th it updates minus the eight dollars like she claimed And I had checked on my statement and I called the bank. The bank said that that was the only transaction I had from La Quinta so the eight dollars that they were talking about is absolutely the one that just updated so instead of helping me and contacting their bank or whatever to get my $75 back a month later she just told me flat out that it was some other person, and it was fraudulent that it wasn’t them, which wouldn’t make any sense because $80. She’s claiming that I never got a refund from from La Quinta except for when today when the transaction finally fell off on its own, but I called 10 times asking for help to get this fixed and every single time every single time I was told the same thing. Wait a few days. Wait a few few days. Wait a few few days and I told them after a while you know you guys have told me that five times and I keep doing it, but nothing happens The fact that they not only hold a deposit for a month when they tell you 3 to 5 days, but the other fact that you call and you asked for help and the manager just pawn it off with somebody else the destiny her name is Destiny the manager destiny doesn’t wanna actually handle the issue. She just claims that it’s fraudulent and you need to call your bank and tell them that’s fraudulent transaction When it was absolutely the property incompetence is ridiculous.
Attempt robbery, bad air quality, misrepresentation of rates, services
I am writing to follow through multiple complaints in regards the criminal investigation that I had requested to be conducted by your business and the police on 09/05/2024, which I am taking to court by filing a suit for damages. On 09/05/2024 about 9:00 AM while I was a paying guest at La Quinta Inn & Wyndham Tampa Bay in Pinellas Park, I was a victim of an attempted robbery and stalking at its Unsafe LOBBY AREA DURING THE PROVIDED HOTEL BREAKFAST as its recorded on cameras: The lobby area may be accessed by any trespasser because its door lock that should only be accessed by the guests' room key is NOT used. Therefore, free access to the street people to ROB you!
Secondly, unhealthy conditions: Lacking room ventilation, window screens or bathroom exhaust system which cause high humidity, discomfort and deterioration of my respiratory disease.
Third, the front desk misrepresented the hotel room rates by telling me over the phone about 11 PM on 08/31/2024 that the rate would be something between $70 and $90 per night but when I arrived at the hotel check-in counter, I was charged $173 plus $50 of security deposit.
Never use this hotel
Never use this hotel. I stayed at Fort Collins, CO. I paid for my stay when I booked my stay. When I checked in, they charged my card again. When I queried it, they said they would give me a refund. 10 days later when I checked out, I asked again and they said the refund was coming. When I retuned home, there was still no refund and I was charged a 3rd time. It was impossible to make contact with the hotel, they just constantly ignored me. I finally got one refund about a month later. And the other refund, they refused to give me. I had to claim it back through my credit card company. It has taken over 2 months to get $1300 that they incorrectly took from me. I never received a genuine apology and they just continued to ignore me. The hotel wasn't even that clean, the facilities are quite run down and you are right on the highway, which means you can't walk anywhere, you have to drive everywhere. The rooms weren't cleaned properly during my stay, just made my bed and changed my towels. The breakfast wasn't very good. Totally incompetent. NEVER STAY HERE!!!
The LaQuinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham…
The LaQuinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Richmond-Midlothian in Virginia, located at 1
301 Hugenot Road in Midlothian, VA is the worst. The hotel was refurbished and the hotel's customer service is horrible. There were many concerns during my stay which led me to send a detailed email via guest services. The hotel smelled of smoke, back entrance door left open for anyone to roam, toilet in room was not secured to floor (which let to a moving toilet), brown stains of water damage in the ceiling of the bathroom, electrical concerns as the lights above the sink did not work, and much more. I strongly suggest that NO ONE stay at this hotel. Upon receiving my letter of complaint, management offered to give me points towards my next stay. What? I don't need points to a hotel that I WILL NEVER STAY AT AGAIN, in the letter my preference was some type of monetary compensation for this horrible stay. To date, I have not heard back from management about that.
2nd worse stay in a motel EVER!
They claim to have wifi but it doesn't work and they don't know where the router is to even try and reset it.
They claim they sold me a handicapped accessible room and while you can get around the room in a wheelchair the bathroom is tiny and definitely NOT wheelchair accessible.
The general condition of the motel is substandard compared to other La Quintas I have stayed at and...
The breakfast is substandard compared to other Laquintas I have stayed at.
One other item to consider is, if AT&T is your cell service provider this LaQuinta may not be for you.
You will get little to no service in certain areas of the building.
Overall I would have to say that this is the 2nd worse motel stay I've had.
I strongly recommend you go elsewhere.
