J’ai passé une super soirée avec Lost in Frenchlation ! J’ai particulièrement aimé le moment avant le film, où l’on peut prendre un verre et échanger avec les autres spectateurs. Puis vient le film, avec les sous-titres en anglais, ce qui permet de profiter pleinement du cinéma français sans se soucier de la barrière de la langue.

I had such a wonderful experience with Lost in Frenchlation! They make French cinema so accessible and enjoyable, especially for international audiences, by pairing French films with English subtitles. It’s such a unique way to experience French culture while also discovering incredible films that you might not otherwise have the opportunity to see.

Everyone I interacted with was welcoming, passionate, and genuinely excited about what they do. I really appreciated the effort they put into creating an engaging experience around each screening. As someone who loves film and is spending time in Paris, this was such a memorable part of my experience. A great place for non French (or struggling French) speakers to meet others who are similar and engage in watching great French cinema. You have fun, meet people and learn more about the place you're living through cinema. Have been to a few screenings now and I also recommend going to the drinks before!

As someone spending the summer in Paris for school, Lost in Frenchlation has been one of my favorite discoveries. I love movies, but I don't speak French fluently, so finding a way to experience French cinema without feeling lost was really important to me.

Their screenings of French films with English subtitles have allowed me to engage with French culture in a way I wouldn't have been able to otherwise. I've seen incredible films that I probably never would have found on my own, and the subtitles make the experience completely accessible. The events are also a great way to meet people from all over the world who share a love of film.

Ils travaillent avec un large choix de cinémas indépendants, et c’est une excellente manière de rencontrer d’autres anglophones si vous venez d’arriver à Paris ou si vous êtes simplement de passage.

Lost in Frenchlation’s screening of La Petite Dernière at the Luminor on June 11th was a perfect night out. The film club makes French cinema fun and easy to enjoy, even if your French isn’t fluent—thanks to the English subtitles.

The crowd was a great mix of people, and the vibe was super welcoming.

If you’re in Paris and love films, this is a must. Highly recommend!

I have been going to these movie showings for years and am so grateful they exist! As a native English speaker now living in Paris, these film showings allow me to stay connected to the cinema culture! The director Q&A's + additional social offerings from LOF, are an added bonus!

When I moved to Paris with my mom, we loved watching movies, but it was hard for her to enjoy French films on the big screen without subtitles. Then, we discovered Lost in Frenchlation, and we’ve been going ever since! It’s an amazing initiative that lets foreigners experience wonderful French cinema with English subtitles, right here in the capital of cinema—Paris.

I’ve discovered some amazing films and met really interesting people through it. 100% recommend if you’re in Paris and want something cultural but still laid-back. 🎥✨

The vibe was super chill, everyone was friendly, and it was awesome getting to watch a French film with English subtitles, makes you feel like part of the local scene even if your French isn’t perfect. Loved the little intro before the movie too. Definitely coming back for another one soon!

I had such a wonderful time watching Connemara at the Cinema du Pantheon. The cinema itself was so beautiful and right in the heart of Paris.
I met wonderful people at the drinks before the film, other young people who just moved to the city and are trying to learn French.
The film itself was great, and helped me really feel like I'm experiencing French culture in the city where cinema was born!

Lost in Frenchlation is a fun and welcoming way to experience French cinema in Paris without worrying about the language barrier. They screen great French films with English subtitles and start off each screening with a friendly cocktail hour where you can meet other movie lovers, expats, and locals. Some nights even include extras like Q&As, comedy, or live performances, which makes the whole thing feel more like an event than just a movie night !

I have been attending screenings for several years now and find it soooo good. My French is still not good enough to watch a whole movie without English subtitles. Always nice people and the cinemas vary and are good too. Manon has been great and the guests and performers and the Q & A with actors/actresses/directors is great. Jeff

I've been to a couple events now for Lost in Frenchlation, and as an international student, I have loved being able to enjoy French films with english subs!
It's a great way to meet other international people living or visiting Paris. I definitely reccomend!
